VICKY'S DEFEAT PART 2
A SCAVENGER E-COMIC

THE EPIC CONTINUES...

Many years have passed since Vickaria Eridani and Gretel Smith seized control of the Gauten star nation.

Under Vicky's rule, Gauten has grown into a mighty empire.

But the danger of corruption is never far away, and Gretel sees her once best friend and ally turn from a timid, tickle-traumatized girl into a cruel, power-hungry tyrant...

...a tyrant insane enough to change an entire world into a planet-sized tickle torture hell...

Tickling and sci-fi? i'm game!

Scavenger strikes home yet again! Such a generous display of promotional glories! As a hint of the wonders within, it's irresistible! Vicky's shaping up to be another of Scav's unforgettable classic characters, steeped in evil ambition and consumed by sensation hunger! A real beauty, too, in her wicked, dangerous way! And what an explosive, star-tripping canvas of set epic adventure against! Interiors swim in a mist of poisonous green readout glow, wrapped in futuristic baroque and populated by hives of merciless metal fingers! Outside, the airless void swirls into a phantasmagoric riot of icy purple and blue-gray... as excitingly inviting as it is forbiddingly giddy! Starship design can be an excruciating exercise, the task of juggling credible functionality with iconic whimsy and pleasing line. Here, Scav places himself in the front ranks... his roaring interstellar craft seamlessly marry blunt military necessity with the shark-like yearning of a ravenous space-going predator! Not unpredictable: Scav has endlessly demonstrated his forte for endowing the mechanical with motive and passion! Not only outwardly beautiful, their innards seethe in a frenzy of erotic digestion... a nerve-jangling orgasm of gluttony the hapless food can't help but share! It's rather trite to say that an artist's work grows more polished and powerful with each fresh offering... where else, after all, does it have to go! But Scavenger's excellence continually forces this mundane observation! His work passes from insurmountable strength to even greater strength... as soon as we think we have the full measure of him, he exceeds it! Treasure these moments... we'll all be saying we knew him way back when!

I am definitely jealous.

What I am saying is, his brand new colouring technique is amazing.
Transition from brushes to tablet did him - and his fans - a lot of good.

Thumbs up. Way up.

🙂

I echo the apt assessment of the K-man; the colors are fantastic! Your ability to render the sci-fi (among so many genres) is simply astounding. I will definitely be adding this to my next MTJPub expedition, whenever that is (give a slothful guy a break here. 😛). My hat is off to you, scavenger!

and did i mention i love the cover art, the beautiful tickle scene among the back ground of spaceships.

Man, ik think i am going to buy this0_0

It's amazing in so much different ways i can't think were to start!!! I would buy a comic of this quality even if it wasn't about tickling! The feact that it has tickling however increases it's coolness even more^^

2 thumbs up, higher then the Burj Dubai!!!!😀😀😀😀

Bignorm: Thank you very much! 🙂

LBH: Such copious words of praise! What a joy to read!:super_hap Thnk you very much, my friend!
Space ships are indeed not always as easy to design, one tries to be as original as possible, while still trying to create a credible functional design. The ship in the cover was supposed to look like something that could be an all-purpose craft, easily refitted as warship, transport, scout, etc... I gave it a dart-like shape to make it look more menacing and at the same time giving it a shape that would be credible for a craft capable of atmospheric entry -unlike the much larger cruisers that briefly appear in the story.
Vicky has become one of my own favourites, perhaps because I worked that long and intensely on the whole project. Somehow she developed a "life of her own", as if she were a real person... it's really weird...
However I would say she will not have the same continuous appearance as does for example my character Kitzalia. With this second part, the story has come full circle, and I feel any sequel could potentially ruin it all.
As for the evolution of my art, it amazes me just as much. It's just that amazing to discover some new technique time and time again... who might know where it all will end? (hopefully the evolution will never come to an end). Really, every dedicated artist evolves and gets better at what he/she does, and together we all will rise to unprecedented heights of artistic mastery. 🙂

Kalamos: The digital tablet was a revelation, indeed! I use a kind of "tradigital" technique (in which I still use more or less the same workflow as I did with acrylic paints) but as I can zoom in, the size of my canvas becomes literally limitless, and I can add details that would previously be impossible. And it gives so much more control over color.

Thank you very much for your kind comments! :super_hap

HDS: why, thank you! 🙂 Sci-fi is my favourite theme in art, so that's the genre I've been painting for the most of the time, and it's great to hear that my hard work and practice pays off. 🙂

Bebop: Bedankt voor de complimenten en steun, mijn beste Noorderbuur! :super_hap (got to thank my fellow language-speaker in an appropriate way!)

(in which I still use more or less the same workflow as I did with acrylic paints)
And it shows.
Or at least, it is clear to me, since we both share an experience with acrylics, and I could see that in your new technique.

Great use of textures too.
Not too plain, not overwhelming, just about right.
Still Scavenger, but with an extra flair - Scavenger 2.0, if you will, weren't it a bit overclichèd as a designation by now.

Thank you very much for your kind comments! :super_hap
My comments were by no means "kind".
They were, quite simply, honest.

🙂

i especially like the 2nd pic, there's lots of action and intensity, especially the little viewscreen saying "March on! For Power" it all blends together to get the heart racing and make any sci-fi fan drool over this.

i don't buy many e-comics at all, but i will have to buy this one and the first one too.

Kalamos: Well, before I started painting digitally, I feared that my art would get the typical photoshop-look. I much more eased my way into the digital process, gradually replacing certain phases in my workflow with digital techniques, thus preserving the foundations of my style.
I love using textures to "roughen up" my work, but I also use a lot of custom brushes and filter plugins.

Scavenger 2.0 ... overused, perhaps, but fitting for a machine-artist... or why not Scavenger 2000 ? (for an 80's sci-fi nostalgic feel) :ggrin: 😉

Bignorm: The little hologram was recycled from a larger pic within the comic itself, showing legions of space troopers and a whole fleet of spaceships. If you liked the preview page, than surely you will enjoy the whole comic! 🙂
Thank you very much for your support! 🙂

Given the clear cyberpunk influences in your pics, I would say Scavenger 2020.
Also, to stress the machine aspect, you could try Scavenger Mk II.

🙂

Masterful work Scav.

Just got back from vacation and got a chance to order the comic... and WOW - it is your best production yet (and that's saying a lot seeing as how I adore your other comics as well).

The coloring technique is indeed greatly advanced from your previous endeavors, the look even more professional. This may sound odd - but I feel like the way you did the text and the lettering also helped the professionalism of this one.

And naturally the tickle action is fantastic. Very very very very sexy! I loved it.

My hats off to you Sir.

I will be learning much from this comic.
