Hi everyone,
After looking at our bandwidth for May in the wake of enabling image attachments, I've now enabled video clip attachments as well. For now the size limit is 2 megs because I want to get a read on how much of a bandwidth hit this is going to cause. I'll probably wait 2 months before I decide for sure how it looks, and then I'll either leave it the way it is or increase the size limit. I seriously doubt if I'll have to stop allowing them entirely, although of course anything is possible.
I've also created a new forum within the Mainstream forum called "Mainstream Clips" where people can now post video clips of mainstream tickles. I'm very excited about this in particular and can't wait to see what we can accomplish!
The currently allowed file extensions are rm, avi, wmv, mov, mpg, mpeg, rar, and zip. If you see any others that I need to add, just let me know.
and if someone could please test the size limits for me and make sure everything is working the way its supposed to, Id appreciate it. You should be able to post as many 2 meg attachments as you want, with a limit of 5 per posting.
I'd appreciate it if people didn't go too crazy with the video clip posting for the first month, because I'm trying to get a realistic sense of what this is going to be like in the long run, and if people post their entire video clip collections this month it's going to really skew the results 🙂
