Views on scars

My Mozilla Firefox alerts me to spelling mistakes most of the time, apart from the ones I do on purpose. Language being a constantly evolving thing and all...

I try not to judge people with scars. Especially since I have two on my chest, one across my stomach and a few on my head. The chest, stomach and some of the head ones were from the hospital

i have a very old one when i was in the second year of high school my teacher accidentally cut my hand with a saw the scar is still here

I never really thought about it, but I have plenty of scars with stories behind them.

Most recent: I got a new dog about 1 year old; full of energy, ran up the steps ahead of me and I stupidly held onto the leash causing me to come down face first towards the steps. I threw my free hand under me for cushion. Got a back-side of the hand scar so I can now just look down and think of my dog... the little @!$@%^!

The "trying to impress a girl" scar: Again, with the steps (I should just move into a ground level apartment), we're coming down the stairs and I vaulted over the side about 2 steps too high. I ended up landing without hurting my ankle, but I went forward which made my arm crunch against the textured outer building wall. Arm still bleeding, we went to the local pharmacy store looking for a wrap to put over it instead of the paper towel wad I had on it. She got embarrassed and told me that she thought the people in the store were thinking this was a bedroom accident in which she hurt me.

The worst pain scar: From my childhood I was trying out bike tricks in a parking lot when I smashed into a tree breaking my arm. One of my earlier childhood memories, but I'll never forget the excruciating pain I felt when I looked up and saw my bone threatening to pop out through my skin. My memory is a little fuzzy after that, but the scars are actually from the metal pieces they needed to put in and later pull out after it healed up.

I have many scars. I have one behind my right eyebrow because I was born via C-section and when the doctor cut open my mother, my face was right there and he cut me. I have multiple stab wounds from a couple times I got jumped in the city. And I have two bullet wounds, one in my waist and one in my knee. I also have a couple minor scars from work but nothing major.

Sounds like you might want to invest in some Kevlar.😉

Yeah, I'd say the same thing as duck17 😛 Either that or move to a more 'mugging free' zone - Like the country, or most of Canada (NOT Toronto!)
It's pretty interesting seeing what everyone else has...
At times I'm glad that having scars means I'm not ticklish there at all, wishing my whole body'd be like that :tounge: Other times, I just wish I was more normal - or at least still could feel anything there...

My knife wounds and gun shot wounds are not from muggings, they are from people out there that don't like the way the way I look, speak, act, etc. One of the knife wounds in my back happened in Windsor actually, only because I won a hockey game. I was wearing a bullet proof vest when I was shot both times, and one stab wound was made when wearing a vest and the person attacked the same spot multiple times, they bent the knife but still pierced about 2 inches into my back. Detroit gets a bad wrap but almost all of my scars are from people trying to hurt me in the suburbs. I'm really a nice guy and not a trouble maker but for some strange reason, people hate me. I could tell you guys stories about every scar, bruise, wound, etc. but I don't want to bore you.

That's kind of... odd. But, those are the bad side-effects we get from having free will, and people being WAY too overreactive and trying to 'off' someone when they're not happy. It kind of sucks, depending which end you're on, but that's life...

I have one scar on my left cheek from a skateboarding accident in 2006. It's horizontal, like between my ear and the corner of my mouth...looks like this, "/" pretty much. I hate it. >< People stare...

I think that scars are very interesting because each has a story associated with it. Thinking of scars always reminds me of both the great fragilness, and the incredible healing power of the human body. In some cases, I find that scars are a sexy compliment to a person, but not always. As far as myself, lets just say I have a few...

seems an interesting thread to bump up....

i have a scar on my chin line from when i was a wee tot, when i fell from a chair and cut my chin and needed stitches..

i have a scar that runs from my belly button straight down to the top of my crotch, when i had my partial hysterectomy almost four years ago this coming April..he couldn't do a standard vaginal uh entry to remove the uterus, as my uterus was the size of a cantaloupe..due to tumors in my uterus, the largest of those being the size of a peach..that scar is white and hardly visible..but it does prevent my belly button from being ticklish i fear..

Scars are battle wounds...proof that a person has lived, taken a few hard-knocks, and lived to tell the stories behind them.

I have 2 scars on my chin--one from falling in the bathtub when I was 2 or 3, and one from flipping over my scooter handle bars when I was in 5th grade.

I have 2 scars on my left breast from a lumpectomy I had a few years ago.

And I have bunches and bunches of little scars all over the place because I'm clumsy...

I love my scars...and I'm proud of them...😀

Nice bump cause I have new one. I was sawing firewood for my dad a couple weeks ago and got my thigh. Needless to say it hurt like hell and I have no idea how I did it. Good days always end in a few stitches.
