I unfortunately have no advice to offer, as I am one of those people who if I see a wasp/bee/hornet in my house, I am OUT the door as quick as I can! Heaven help the cat or kid that gets in my way during my frantic exit.
And I don't know why I am so terrified of them. I've been stung several times. One on the palm of my hand by a bumble bee when I was about 4. Twice by a hornet that slipped down the front of my shorts when I picked up a blanket he was hiding in (one on the lower belly, and yes, one 'down there' before I shook it out of my shorts). And a few years back I had a yellow jacket fly up the sleeve of my shirt while I was driving and hanging my arm out the window. The son of a bitch stung me 6 times on the inner arm and near my armpit before I finally pulled over, stripped completely naked from the waist up in front of a neighborhood full of people, and flung my clothes on the ground to stomp the bastard dead (I think one or two old fellas out watering their lawns keeled over from cardiac arrest, too, at the sight of my naked ample bosom flopping in the breeze).
I survived them all, and while it hurts like a bitch, you get over it. But still I freak at the mere sound of their buzzing.
If I ever die in a tragic fiery car accident, I can guarantee it will be because a wasp/bee/hornet flew into my open car window.
