I wasn't expecting that at all, and I almost blew coffee out my nose!

I can't report on webcam usage, since I don't have one, but I can see others' cams, and their audio seems to be working well, also.

My only complaint is I don't like how there are ads on the bottom of the chat that display my Facebook information and friends, since I didn't provide any information that should give that away. I don't know if that's a cookie issue, or what, but it makes me just a tad uncomfortable, since Facebook likes to announce everything I do, from heading to the fridge for a snack to taking a bathroom break. I feel like such an old person, but I don't like Facebook.

I have a question. everytime i log into the chat room, i get pop ups on my computer, even after i leave the room. the popup says "this page has an unspecified security risk, do you want to continue" and whether i click yes or no, every couple minutes the pop ups keep coming back. any suggestions?

Jeff, I love the concept and have used it a few times but it seems to screw up my computer. After using the webcam chat I keep getting security pop up warnings that will not go away. And sometimes even after I close the chat I keep hearing the audio from people in the chat.

Beware of potential virus

Can you be more specific on the security warnings? After my first time using this on another machine I had a large virus problem that took me a few days to get the info and clean up.

Is the program: Spyware Protection 2009?

What I used was a good anti-virus program (I used AVG).
You will need something to take care of Malware and Spyware.

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html is what I used for the spyware.

http://www.malwarebytes.org for the Malware

What happened to me was the Malware damaged several things including corrupted dll files. If your run the anti malware program and you reboot your system will "restore" the bad ju-ju. So you need to go into the control tab for your computer go to properties and for system restore turn it OFF. Once your computer reboots after malware is removed you can enable it. The restoration of bad ju-ju happens because your computer cannot tell the difference between a viral file and a good file.

Even after I ran AVG and spybot software I was getting other pop up alerts every minute (not an exageration) that is when Malware saved my system from this malicious little bugger!

If more of us have this experience it will cast a nasty shadow over the possibility of this video chat. It may not be the software, but malware from the pop-ups.
