Kidding or not, I think it's an apt description. There's just... so much going on and, if that's your first experience 'dipping' into such a world like this, unless you're already pretty self-confident and computer-savvy, it "can" be a little daunting.
But, the same can be said of here as well. If you're going to try something new, no matter what it is, how perceived 'big' or 'small', it's trying something you haven't before, thus, it can be unsettling, however much you allow it to be.

I think the TMF is and will always be the penultimate online place for those sharing our fetish. It's got all the movers and shakers (and it's hard not to like movers and shakers with our particular kink), and generations of fans all interacting and sharing. It's damned near the first place I ever searched out online! I have an all-abiding love for the place. It's just so BIG now! Some of the sections have 30-bazillion threads! It really is pretty intimidating, even when I used to be there daily 15 years ago. It's like: "It's all in there somewhere, but good luck trying to find any of it in this labyrinth."

Mainly, I'm a very crowd-averse person, and am fine with the our little tidal pool here. :21:

Oh, I missed this place. TMF is big, and there's lots of resources, but it just always feels like a fight is about to start (or has already started.) I'd definitely have trouble with it if I was homosexual or a male 'lee or whatever, those two groups in particular seem to get bashed a lot by the forum "old guard". I feel like I can talk here without someone jumping on me and pulling out something I said a year ago to try and make me look like a fool or whatever.

It's been a super shitty few weeks in my personal life, so it's nice to have this place back, cheers me up a bit. 🙂

Rick Tibbler, as a fairly new member to both TT and TMF, I agree with sadistictcklr. I like um both. But this place is just oodles friendlier.
