Now, let's please keep this thread intelligent and on track as it's for a serious reason..

There is no general consensus on anything in the TK world. People can't agree on the type of tickling, the type of girl, type of guy, size of feet, hair color, what model is better, what technique to use, bondage vs no bondage vs fake bondage.... they couldn't even agree on the color of the sky if you put a gun to their head. They base a tickler's experience and credentials on how many posts they've made!

However, that said: it seems to many of us that people are growing weary of the same old unimaginative material and finally speaking out about it. I've been receiving a ton of email all telling me the same thing: Theres a sickening over-abundance of poor material out there saturating this fetish- terrible copy-cats, lazy bondage, tired settings, faked laughter.

Yet, as I say back to them ... it's selling.

This would indicate that most TK'ers seek this type of material, correct?

So I'd like to know once and for all, to get a feel for what people are really seeking, with no if's, ands, or buts-- is this what people (the majority) really seek and enjoy watching? Or do they really want something more, deeper, more involved?

What do people, ticklers, BDSM'ers, really want to see in a bdsm/tickling based C4S store? The style? The levels? Intensity? The tortures? People in the videos? Non-con, or totally con? True life or total fantasy?

I'm reminded of a marketer of spaghetti sauces.

About twenty odd years ago, runny Ragu sauce was the choice of the nation. It was thin and runny and everyone seemed to like it. Another company was trying to break into the market. They hired a marketer who went down to the kitchen and had them whip up a few dozen sauces with various consistencies and textures. He found that, indeed, about 2/3 of the people liked the thinner, runnier version of sauce. But he also found that 1/3 liked chunkier, meatier sauces the best.

He took his result to the company president, who was incredulous to say the least. "Are you telling me that almost 1/3 of the market has nowhere to go for what they really want?" He insisted he had tried every angle and had found that there was this totally hidden market, and that the people hadn't even been aware that they had liked it before they had tried the chunkier sauce. The company boss took that chance, and today... well I think we all know what spaghetti sauce selection looks like these days.

I think that you'll find some parallels Kuj. I've mentioned that I think that there is a market for the more intense stuff in the tickling boards. They just don't know the dark tickle that you can get from real torture until they're offered the choice (AND, I must add, the odd preview clip to let them see some of the content before they buy).

What do I want to to see? I want to see extreme full-body tickle torture combined with well done, non-lazy bondage so the the lee is almost if not completely immobile. I prefer non-con or total con, it doesn't matter to me. Make sure to throw in blindfolds and gags at certain times. Honestly, I'd just like to see more real reactions from genuinely ticklish women. It's out there, but it's generally few and far between. It most certainly starts with the girl... She's got to be genuinely ticklish with a great 'loss of control' laugh and a willingness to submit herself to something that she suspects could turn torturous. I want to see really intense tickling. I prefer the feet but I'm also a fan of all-over tickling, so long as it gets the desired reaction. One desired reaction can be frantic begging, pleading, panic and tears. Sometimes lighter more playful tickling is good too, but the bondage still has to be good (which in current videos it isn't). As you've heard from me before I really really like the Westfield stocks (for people who don't know what they are: feet together, wrists either side). In online markets there is a lot of choice, and this is the reason why viral marketing is so popular. Most customers won't randomly stumble upon your store, they'll have seen some sample of your material somewhere (like here) or they'll have been told of it and they'll look you up. Particularly if you're good enough and different enough (which you are) that people really remember the brand name.

Agreed. I like to call it "namespace polution". If people repeatedly mis-name "pillories" as "stocks" and gentle "touch-tickling" as "extreme tickle torture" it makes it very very difficult for those specifically looking for the latter.

I don't know if you remember, but I was, not exactly pleading, but at least strongly advocating a clip store YEARS ago, back when people first started hosting their own stores, before C4S even got going and certainly way before they dominated the market.

Without wishing to sound like an utter suck-ass (something I am emphatically not - as you of all people will know), I couldn't disagree with you more, Kuj. Just make sure you place your screen name at the top of the store and word will get around.
It may be that C4S has a gajillion stores, but word will get around very quickly that your stuff is in the market. Keep a regular stream of new material refreshing it and you'll retail plenty. And there may not be a majority of TK people buying your material, but what ones do will buy a lot of it. There would probably also be crossover custom from the BDSM world.

Just my opinion anyway.

Assuming that this isn't just market research and is done for the sake of actually bettering the tickling world, I'm going to be completely honest.
f/f vids are among my favorites, but not necessarilly because I have a preferential interest in girl-on-girl. Its just that whenever m/f vids pop up, its always some creepy guy with some sort of mask, or ball cap or sunglasses. Its a major turn off. I could tolerate the guy if he wasn't acting so shady, and would just engage the lee like a person. I mean, if she has the balls to show her face on camera, why shouldn't you?
Another issue I tend to have with vids is that there usually tends to be the single area of focus. There's no point in having a lee naked if your're just going to tickle her feet the whole time.
