Nope. I reported for work yesterday at 5am. I worked a very long day, 5am to 10pm, for the Board of Elections of NYC as a poll worker.
The polls are open here from 6am to 9pm, but there is set-up time beforehand and clean up time afterward.

Why do I do this twice a year? Earning $300 for a long day's work is one reason, but it is also to stay in touch with the community around me.

Nope. Sadly, I was up very early to get to the Daniel Patrick Moynihan United States Courthouse at 500 Pearl Street in lower Manhattan by 8:30am to report for federal jury duty. Even more sadly, I was put on a case today, which is expected to last two to three weeks. 😱
