What musical instruments does everyone play?

Feathers on ticklish body areas to produce "musical" laughter do not count as instruments

I play the drums. 😀

LOL Sy! I think it makes beautiful music though!

I've never had a gift for music which has always been a great tragety for me as I LOVE listening to music and the whole rest of my family is musical. I howver can't carry a note in a paper sak and I'm too uncoordinated to play an instrument.
*sigh*
But in school I played the flute for a while and was pretty good considering the short time I played.
That's pretty much it.

Seriously...I cant even play the triangle...I can't keep rythem well enough 🙁

play the vocal chords...am trying to learn to play the penny whistle so I can hit those high notes on on Irish folk CD's...since I'm a bass. Afterall, you never here them introduce "Irish Basses"..the tenors get all the glory...😉

I am a vocalist--alto ladies (shout out to the vocalists on the forum!!!)

I'm also learning guitar and have been playing now, self taught, for 2 years. It's a stress reliever and I LOVE IT!!!

I used to play a little trombone back in 4 & 5 grades, but the case was taller than I was, and I wasn't good...so I stopped...oh well!!! 😛 It was fun!!!

w00t.

I play percussion, I used to be in the HS snare line. I play trap in a band now, and I love it more than anything. No one can rock out like a drummer.

Oh WOW everyone has their own musical areas!

Nessie don't worry, because I'm sure we can get any number of folks here to agree that you're a vocalist, since your laughter = music itself!

Ihatethis, I'm delighted to find another brethren 😀

Perhaps one day...one day...we'll all be combining our instruments and playing them together to some kind of tickle song!

Quite a number of vocalists here, heh. I enjoy singing too but I don't consider myself a vocalist.

Sooner or later I'm gonna start asking everyone to post a short mp3 version of their recorded music! 🙂

Nessie, you can ask yr hubby to tickle you and record yr laughter for us

hmm...
Cello
Bass guitar
Piano
Drums & Conga
and that's it :weird:

What a cool idea, Sy!! Did you know that Drew70 writes tickle parodies of songs? LOL!

unless you Count ''passing Gas'' a talent 🙂 LOL

Can you pass gas to a tune?

Passing gas to the passed-away.

If you pass me the pun, that's what I'd call a sane "pass-time". 😉

I Play Acoustic Guitar, Mostly Bluegrass. Thanks, Sy, For An Interesting Thread Topic.

I play the clarinet, and I play....well, I have :weird: a very nice, Gibson II electric guitar. It's a really pretty cherry color. Maybe I'll learn to play it eventually. Unfortunately, nobody's ever been able to teach me (or I just haven't been able to retain the knowledge.). All I know is a few chords, and I have a chord chart somewhere that my original "teacher" gave me, in which he circled all the chords he said I would need to know.

I play a 3/4 scale electric fender bass guitar in my basement when no one is around to hear me slaughter things. I also play a little guitar and can find my way around a keyboard a bit. But, when I'm in a band I just sing and play percussion--every band I've been in has been me, 3 guitarists, a drummer and a bass player, and I'm always the token girl. *giggle*

My last couple of bands were really fun. I even used to start tickle fights on stage with them, becaus we had a running competition to make each other laugh and screw up on stage. They were so much fun to play with. So talented and laid back enough not to freak out if everything was not always note perfect. I've been in some note perfect bands too, and the silly ones were much more fun. *giggle*

Good for you, Raichyll! Always good when you are able to be laid back and silly and not take something too seriously. 🙂 If I were in a band I'd hope I had fun first and if it was any good that'd be secondary.

Maybe a 3/4 scale guitar is what I need! I have a full sized bass that is living with my brother right now because I've never been able to play it. My hands are too small to fit around the neck of even a basic acoustic guitar. Of course there's always my difficulties with coordination...I could never play a song on a keyboard that required two hands for the same reason. *sigh!* I'm afraid if I ever join a band it'll be as a groupie! LOL

NO, VAMPIRESHADOW, I THINK THAT FALLS UNDER THE PYROTECHNICAL PART OF THE CONCERT. LOL!

Yeah, Ness, a 3/4 (or short scale) bass would probably help. Also, if you can afford it and rationalize the expense, an Ibanez (sp?) bass has a much thinner neck than a P-Bass for example. I can play my friend Adam's Ibanez and lust after it constantly. But I could not justify the expense of buying such a sweet baby for myself, because I don't actually ever play it except for my own amusement. Even a good used Ibanez could easily run in the $500 range. So, I found this really nice used Fender 3/4 scale that's perfect for me. The only thing that would make it better would be if it were purple instead of black. *giggle*

Amazing! That's 5 different instruments and each of them very different! You're really musically inclined PunkyGurl!

I've been playing guitar for about 4 years, and piano for about 14 years now. I play the drums a bit too, but I'm not as serious about that. I used to write a ton, and I do some vocals (but I'm not good at singing). If you're brave though, here's a link to a song I recorded for a friend.

Goodness...when your deep sexy voice kicked in my jaws just dropped. So amazingly talented! I have tons of respect for those who can write their songs, compose their music, then play and sing them so well!!! :wooha:

You're welcome GEORGIATKLER! I do notice lots of guitar players. I figured it has something to do with having really flexible fingers trained by endless sessions of tickling!
