What musical instruments do everyone play?

tuning

WOW so many drummers! Right now I really need some drum tunning tips. Can someone recommend a method of tunning the drums? I'm having major problems with the bass drum, it refuses to produce the punchy bass sound I want.
Hey SY: Could be the type of head your using, also if you cut an airhole in the head(front) it helps, the back head should be a double ply non coated, oil filled and tightened about 3/4 full, just a few wrinkles around the edges, and put a pillow inside the drum, to muffle the sound, also a felt beater will produce lower end sound, rather than a wood or hard plastic one. Just a few things that have worked for me.

Oil filled skin? I'm not sure if mine is. I should check it out. Thanks very much for the advice. How do you position the pillow in the drum? Do you shove it all the way to the front or back or just let it flump in the centre?

just so it's touching the back head centered inside the bass

I play..
violin
VIOLA
cello
bass
trombone
baritone
recorder
snare drum
bassoon
piano

I also write bond's music. I write sheet music so the fans who wish to play w/ the recording, can. I am still working on my own original piece though.

I think that's it..... 😀

OMG, I love to listen to bond's music, it's a great mixture of classical and pop, and I'm envious of their ability to play so lightning quick. I would like to know more about your sheet music for playing with a recording as I just found a Yamaha makes a crazy electric viollin called the "Silent Violin", that allows you to play silently with an earphone connected to the instrument and has a feature for hooking up a CD player to "practice" along with the music...

Well, see, when Lord of the Ring was first published, people in London would write "Frodo Lives" on the walls of the subway stations.... Frodo Lives.. Todoe lives...

Good Lord, Camel, speak English, I'm from Alabama, after all!

I get my Ocarinas at the ren faires, mostly, the big week-long one in TN in May. And I meant I counted 2 people that claimed alto but I might've missed'm, it was off the top of my head. I wasn't going to get halfway through a post then go back, recount, and type the whole thing over again.
A/M, WELL OF COURSE I/M JUST TO YOUR EAST. IF WE WERE ALREADY RELATED, I'D ASK YOU TO MARRY ME!! 🙂 🙂 BTW, EVER FIND YOURSELF IN THE STOCKS AT THAT REN FAIRE, FAIR MAIDEN?

*blushes deeply*  why......thank you!!!

The bolded one is my main an true instrument though. And I've recently seriously picked up the cello again.

But thanks!! I'm very flattered! 😀

Well there's another instrument which I have to play...and play well...it's my brain. The toughest semestral examinations of my entire degree course begins tomorrow. :grind_tee

Let's hope I can survive. In the meantime, I'm off until my exams are over.

Yup my hat off to you too Iluv2btickled, you're an one lady orchestra. 😀

Piano, synthesizers, guitar, and bass. Nowadays, I mostly compose, arrange and record original tunes all on the computer. I absolutely love it.

i play guitar and sing.

by the way if anyone in the UK is in the Midlands, my band is playing the Newark Festival on Thursday June 10th. Entry is free, and we're expecting around 1000 people there! We;'re playing a 40 minute set, so it should be enough time for everyone to see what we're like!

May as well add my 2 pennies worth. I trained at music College (Royal Academy in London)
Clarinet, Flute, Piccolo, Piano, Bugle, Timpanum, Tin Whistle and singing.
There's one advantage to all this you know - mean we all have very nimble and tongues😉

Well I didn't think vocals would count so add vocals to my list...I'm brave enough to go on stage but I'm not brave enough to post it

Something I've always been proud of personally. 😀
