What's your theme song?

Valerie - Steve Winwood

So wild, standing there, with her hands in her hair
I can't help remember just where she touched me
There's still no face here in her place
So cool, she was like jazz on a summer's day
Music, high and sweet, then she just blew away
Now she can't be that warm with the wind in her arms

CHORUS:
Valerie, call on me
Call on me, Valerie
Come and see me
I'm the same boy I used to be

Love songs fill the night, but they don't tell it all
Not how lovers cry out just like they're dying
Her cries hang there in time somewhere
Someday, some good wind may blow her back to me
Some night I may here her like she used to be
No it can't be that warm with the wind in her arms

So cool, she was like jazz on a summer's day
Music, high and sweet, then she just blew away
Don't tell me you're warm with the wind in your arms
I was almost sure you were going to say your theme song was going to be "These boots were made for walking". 😉

I do applaud you on your choice, though. Very fitting. ^^

Anyways, not sure if this song would fit into my theme song category but to a minor extent I can relate to this and I thought, why the hell not. So another theme song of mine would be "Innocent" by Our Lady Peace.

...God, I have got to stop listening to these bands intended for teenagers. =P

This song really describes the inner me (certainly not the outer me!)

Big Bad John by Jimmy Dean, The Sausage Guy

How's this for coincidence? The group who did my theme song (The gospel group The Imperials) were the back-up singers for Jimmy Dean's recording of "Big John." The bass singer, Armond Morales, did the famous low "Big John." I got to meet him and shake hands with him after a concert one night in Bowling Green.

There's a few songs which describe certain aspects of my being.

Some of my friends, know me for my highschool lifestyle, would agree with "The Beast" by Tech N9ne.

"(Insanity at it's finest. Fire starter, riot maker,
moon strickened animal need, bad seed untameable beast)
Everybody around me always think they know what's
going on inside my mind, think I'm Mr. Nice Guy all the time.
How they say on Diary? You think you know, but you have no idea!!!"

Then again, the song, "Dad" by goldfinger means alot to me about how me and my father seem to co-exist.

"Dad, I hate to tell ya
Sometimes I wanna slap you in the face
But Dad, I gotta tell ya
If you were gone I'd miss you from this place

Don't go away again
I just wanna be your friend
And if I don't say this now
I'm gonna be sorry
Don't wanna make this same mistake again

Dad, I need to tell ya
Sometimes I wanna walk right out the door
But Dad, I'm gonna tell ya
I'm glad that we don't argue like before

Don't go away again
I just wanna be your friend
And if I don't say this now
I'm gonna be sorry
Don't wanna make the same mistake again

Dad, I need to tell ya
Sometimes its hard to show you how I feel
Dad, I'm gonna tell ya
I wish that all our differences weren't real

Don't go away again
I just wanna be your friend
And if I don't say this now
I'm gonna be sorry
Don't wanna make the same mistake again

I see the older that I get
I'm becoming you
I see the older that I get
I'm becoming, I'm becoming you!

Dad I wanna tell ya
I just wanna take away your pain"

I dunno about anymore at the moment. Though, I'm sure they exist.

(watch, next thing I know, Sockses is gonna say, "Ya Forgot Karma Chameleon!")

Sorry this is a bit late, but I feel my theme song is one from a Minnesota band. The song is "Ready for War" and the band that sings it is called Throw The Fight.

I'm not at all sure what my theme song would be. I'll have to look through my music library and see if I can figure out what it'd be.

I'd imagine it'd be (Welcome to) The Black Parade. Something Dark, but upbeat at the same time.

As well as yours truly, I'd say a good Irish Fighting/Drinking/Pillaging Jig... Something from Flogging Molly. Salty Dog or Tobacco Island Methinks...

All to hell we must sail
foe the shores of sweet Barbados!
Where the Sugar-Cane grows taller than
the God we once believed in!
And the Butcher and his Belle,
Leave the land we used to sleep in,
And tomorra chimes of Ghostly crimes that Haunt Tobacco Island!

"Dead as history" by the Dillinger Escape Plan 😀 It makes me feel like "Spite" my other personality. Makes me fell invincible! That is why.

Valerie - Steve Winwood

Mm, see, you put me more in mind of "Valerie" by Richard Thompson (a damn good song):

Oh Valerie! You give me heart attack
Oh Valerie! You put me on the rack
Oh you say that I'm history, you say I'm no good
Then you want to be two babes in the wood
That's what I call playing to the gallery
Well I'm a-wait, wait, waiting for Valerie

Hey Valerie! She got a scar down here
Valerie! She got gold in her ear
A figure like this, lips like that
Red fingernails, teeth like a cat
She never gets home till five or four or three
Well I'm a-wait, wait, waiting for Valerie

Well I'm soft in the head, I give her hard cash
She spends all my money on junk and trash
Nylon fur, plastic shoes
And fifty-seven things she's never going to use
Never, never, never going to use
Oh Valerie! Oh Valerie! Oh Valerie!

Well Valerie! You're going to choke or drown
Valerie! Why don't you put that down?
If you don't get over this eating jag
They're going to take you home in a body bag
I can't stand to see one more calorie
Well I'm a-wait, wait, waiting for Valerie

Now every time I turn my back
She's 'round the corner, looking for a crack
It's going to be the ruin of me
Well I'm running on nervous energy
Running on nervous energy

Oh Valerie! She want to move out of town
Valerie! She want the money down
She want leopard-skin this, tiger-skin that
Matching luggage, lipstick, hat
I can't afford her on my salary
Still I'm a-wait, wait, waiting for Valerie
I'm a-wait, wait, waiting for Valerie
Hmm I'm a-wait, wait, waiting for Valerie

For this morning? Three Days by Jane's Addiction; but it's subject to change on an hourly basis... 😛aw:

Right now being single its "Alcohol and Ass" by Hell Yeah. I cant find the lyrics but I think the title gets the point across.

here's mine ^^

Hey, hey, hey
Here I go now
Here I go in to new days
Hey, hey, hey
Here I go now
Here I go into new days
I'm pain, I'm hope, I'm suffer
Yeah, hey, hey, hey, yeah
Here I go into new days

Hey, hey, hey
Ain't no mercy, ain't no mercy there for me,
Hey, hey, hey
Ain't no mercy, ain't no mercy there for me,
I'm pain, I'm hope, I'm suffer
Yeah, hey, hey, hey
Ain't no mercy, ain't no mercy there for me

Do you bury me when I'm gone
Do you teach me while I'm here
Just as soon as I belong, then it's time I disappear

Hey, hey, hey
And I went, and I went on down that road
Hey, hey, hey
And I went on, and I went on down that road
I'm pain, I'm hope, I'm suffer
Hey, hey, hey
Yeah and went on, and I went on down that road

Do you bury me when I'm gone
Do you teach me while I'm here
Just as soon as I belong, then it's time I disappear(2x)

(background)
(Just like that
I'm gone, I'm gone oh baby I'm gone
I'm gone, I'm gone baby
I'm gone, I'm gone)

Do you bury me when I'm gone
Do you teach me while I'm here
Just as soon as I belong, then it's time I disappear(2x)

Dude, Metallica is easily my favorite band of all time! I saw them in San Diego a few years back...

My theme song is, and has been for the past few years, also a Metallica song. It's called "The Outlaw Torn." I won't post all the lyrics (unless someone demands it of me) but it has my favorite lyric of all time.

"You made me smash the clock and feel
I'd rather die behind the wheel
time was never on my side
So on I wait my whole lifetime..."

It reminds me of the first girl I ever loved...

I never gave it much thought, actually. But I suppose if I had to choose, it would be this one.

I have a lot of theme songs. Here they are:

1. Let's Start A Riot - Three 6 Mafia

2. Nigga Got Popped - Project Pat

3. Crept And We Came - Bone: Thugs -N- Harmony

4. Hard Not To Kill - The Kaze

5. Still No Surrender - Bone: Thugs -N- Harmony

6. Niggaz Got Me Fucked Up - The Kaze

7. Pump, Pump - Bone: Thugs -N- Harmony

8. You Don't Know Me - T.I.

9. Who Got That Purple - Project Pat

10. There They Go - Layzie Bone ft. Aaron Hall

11. What U Gon' Do - Lil' Jon & The Eastside Boyz

12. Stop Fuckin' With Me - Lil' Jon

13. The Official Crunk Junt - Three 6 Mafia

14. Hit A Motherfucker - Three 6 Mafia

15. Thug Luv - Bone: Thugs -N- Harmony ft. Tupac

16. Shoot Em Up - Bone: Thugs -N- Harmony

17. Umma Do Me - Rocko

It changes with my mood....

Today it's this:

'Love is understanding
Don't you know that this is true
Love is understanding
It's in everything we do

We were born to love one another
This is something we all need.
We were born to love one another
We must be what we're going to be
And what we have to be - is free.'

Anyone recognize that?

It would have to be Heir Kommt Alex by Die Toten Hosen

you might recognize it from guitar hero 3
