Who are you like?

Who I have looked like has changed over the years. In college, and because of my music, I was told I looked like Jackson Browne. As I got older, I think people would say Jackie Coogan!

My personality is generally considered caring or very funny, depending on when you catch me. I tend to be dramatic and comical or "a very good listener."

I have enjoyed meeting other people with our "obscure object of desire" almost to affirm that lees and lers come from every walk of life, and in every color, shape and size.

I look exactly like a cross between Sidney Fields(from the Abbott and Costello show), Kathy Bates, and that stupid buzzard from the Bugs Bunny cartoons.

I've often said as a joke that my monitor NEEDED to be washed down with juice, or whatever I happened to have been drinking at the time. BUT THANKS FOR MAKING ME REALLY SPIT WATER OUT with that description!!!!!!

Based on the comments of others throughout my life, perhaps I have a natural chaomelion(can't spell) quality.

At twenty I was compared to Tom Cruise, Ralph Machio, Val kimer, Bruce Springsteen.

At age 21,I was mistaken for Jonny depp, twice.I grew up a few miles from him,same stomping grounds, same haircut. Mathew Broderick.

At 22 I went to a costume party as Stallone(Mirrored glasses, a pouty lip, a trenchcoat- instant cobra! A director called me "Tom Cruise on steroids".

At 31, my girlfriend said I looked like Humphrey bogart from the "Petrified Forest" Definitely my favorite comparison!

At 32, my brother said John Travolta looks and acts like me in 'Look Who's Talking'.

At 34 to 36, I've had many references to Bruce Willis (hairline)
and Jack Nicholson(wiseass).

Now at thirty seven I seem to be just lil' ol' me.

Well... when I had long hair back in the 80's, I was told I looked like Steven Tyler( my hair was like his). I didn't think so but after more than 20 people said this to me,I just began to except it. I think it was the eyes and the hair. I was also told I looked like one of the guys from Duran Duran. Now, if you all can figure how I can look like BOTH those guys, come back and explain it to me. They don't look alike at all. Nowdays, I don't think I look like anyone.

My sense of humor can be attributed to virtually any comedian (stand-up or movie)and cartoon character in the past 25 years.

Well, hmmm. Whenever anyone tries to figue out who I look like, they either end up giving me a "I don't know, Cait, you're original." Or a list of 5 or 6 people to combine into me. These usually include Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones (HA! Don't I wish!), Megan Mullally, Kate Winslet (None of which I can see, but nonetheless don't mind), and if I'm having a really awful humid hair day, I'm told the HAIR resembles that of Minnie Driver, but nothing else.
As for personality, I've gotten yet more combinations, never a straight answer. The most consistent is that of these three:
Carol Burnett (in her Carol Burnett Show days)
Bernadette Peters and
Lucille Ball
All younger of course. When they were in their twenties.
If I force them to pick just one, the most consistent is Bernadette Peters, but nobody is ever sure.

I've been told that when my hair is longer I look like Janet Jackson- back in the '80's when she was still chubby NOT NOW-and Tootie, again circa 1987. When my hair is shorter: a cross between Arnold from Different Strokes and Ernie from Sesame Street .

I really have no idea-some of you here have met me, whada YOU think?

Janet Jackson... feh. She's not a tenth as gorgeous as you are, but then, I may be a little biased here. I can't think of anyone that you resemble off the top of my head, but you've got this sensual confidence, a magnetic presence to you that makes you shine like a ticklish little star to those of us blessed to know ya. IMHO, ennyhoo.

Well, a bunch of my friends last night decided to play the who do you look like game, and everyone decided on a shorter, smaller-mouthed Julia Roberts for me. The first time since I was a small child that I got a straight single answer to that question from anyone. When I was little, from 4-8ish I would be walking down the street with my mom, and strangers would stop us all the time on the street to tell my mother I looked like a baby Julia Roberts. Maybe I'm slowly morphing back into that now that I'm growing into myself more. No complaints here.

We also played the "What character from tv are you personality-wise?" game. I am a combo of Phoebe from Friends, and Carrie and Charlotte from Sex and the City. When I'm feisty (and have had a few drinks. Sshh! ), I am a combo of Grace and Karen from Will and Grace, which is something hard to imagine, I think.
