But seriously, I do have to mention terorizer and dvnc who will probably be in shock over me mentioning them (and I do hope ok with it). They were the "cowboys to my horse" in my becoming a gathering organizer/host. They gave me free rein, then reined me in, let me run steady, whipped me to speed it up, pulled to have me slow down, changed my directions.

Any of you who have ever organized and hosted events will know what I am talking about and understand how important and beneficial it is to have good mentors.

So you condone her swearing at us and talking us down publicly??? What happened to if you didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything??? Again, since you close up threads to give us a chance to speak, you allowed Isabeau to get hammered for three days. You sat back relaxed probably had a cappacino for all I know. I don't recall you publicly admonishing anyone during those three days. Now giggle says something and you agree with her. I agree with her too, until the language comes into play. Now if you tell me this is an adult forum and if I can't handle the language then that is my problem, then my response would be simple, you are absolutely 100% right. It is an adult forum. Staying on topic of the thread, my hero on the TMF is Natural. Why? Because he is a good guy who stands up for his friends. He has more stories than Steven King. But he is fair and honest. Everyone needs a friend like Natural. He is simply a good guy.

Fine, you guys want to drag Isabeau's private business into the public forum, here we go:

Isabeau hijacks practically every other thread that she's part of. Half the moderators on the forum, me included, have talked to her about it and it has done no good at all.

Recently we decided to start taking thread hijacking more seriously because we felt it was getting out of hand. Her name specifically came up with the staff here because she's one of the worst offenders on the entire forum.

So what seemed to you like a small incident was in fact that last of a seemingly endless series of small incidents that no amount of discussion had managed to prevent. It was the straw that broke the camels back, so I took very minor action: a one week suspension from a single sub-forum.

Which of course is none of your, or anyone else's business except hers, which is why I didn't explain it before. But between this and the non-stop PMs from others, you've harassed me into an explanation, and you can be damn sure I'm not going to forget it.

One more thing. I won't be back in this thread, so don't expect a response to any more of your outrage. I bust my ass to keep this forum running, and I'm into it for literally tens of thousands of dollars, and I will be damned before I'll let people use it as a vehicle to harass me.

And please don't put all the heat on Jeff. This was a full staff decision, not his alone, and it's unfair that he's bearing full blame. Sometimes we have to make decisions that are not popular with many of our members, but are necessary for the sake of the forum as a whole. We're not trying to be unfair to anyone, and our job is very difficult and often incredibly thankless. All we ask is that you please understand our position, and if you don't agree with it, at least respect it. You're always welcome to voice a different opinion, but do so with tact, maturity, and diplomacy. Flaming and harassing the very people who keep this place running will only end in the death of the forum as a whole, and lord knows we don't ever want to see that time come.

We don't get paid to moderate this forum. We volunteer our time and patience to try and keep this place running smoothly, and maintain it as a happy welcoming atmosphere. Jeff doles out thousands of dollars out of his own pocket to keep the forum open, and without him we would not have this place.

So please, I am asking as a staff member, and hopefully a good friend to you all, to just drop the bitter back biting, be thankful to all be here together and have this wonderful platform for our fun and interraction, and lets get back to having a good time.
