I have loved greek myth for as long as I can remember and have studied it my whole life! It got me into studying ancient Egypt and their mythology. Then hieroglyphics! Now I can write some things in them! I love it so much it! Does anyone else love studying myth as well?

I faintly recall the beetle hieroglyph means B.

EDIT: scarab.

A human foot is the exchange of the english "b".....beetle (scarab, man, scarab!) is kheper

I have always found it interesting, AR, but as with most things I'm interested in I'm too lazy to really persue it. 😀
I'm very interested actually in Revolution-era American history. again...lazy 😛

One of my favorite movies-clash of the titans. All about greek myths.

...And Zeus's sexual habits [and transformations...] I suppose.

Clash of the Titans........ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually wrote a story about the mythology of tickling for a high school mythology class.............it was fairly detailed and I actually work it up for the greek and norse mythology...............it was pretty good that was when I found out my mythollogy teacher was a foot lover herself and I was able to give her a great foot rub/tickle before the class ended for the year...............my favorite has always been Hephestus the Armor(spelling?) Cause I have felt like him for a long time.........able to do alot but never had the looks to get in on the opportunity. I alwyas thought that Pan would have been the god of Villication becasue of his mischveious nature............and about the dirty stories Aphrodite, yeah ditto on that many a night dreaming about captuing and tickling nymphs, driads, and ahving the power of over all tickling......................silly little man in my head always coming up with great scenes

Well I am not denying little men elsewere but I am pretty sure the little man in my head is still in there..........atleast it feels like he is in there bouncing and jumping around.......................

See? That's the great part of myth! Relating to a story! Or making your own! It's all good 🙂

Bingo!!!!! Ditto!!!!!!! Booyah!!!!!!!!! an other fun little thingys<<<<<<<<<,goes into the bathroom with a flashlight to see if the little man is still in there

ummm Sorry about the little man episode it was not in fact a little man episode but rahter swamp gases and metors combing in the atmosphere of the cranium to create that illusion.....................I am so flippin bored at work right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! being a disembomed skull would be kinda cool right now actually....................................

I don't know as much as I'd like to about Greek Mythology, but, as far as Ancient Egypt goes, I've always felt a very strong connection to Egyptian artifacts, ever since I was a small child. I don't know if any of you believe in reincarnation, but I do--every time I have been around artifacts from Ancient Egypt, at any point in my life, I've always felt at ease, and as if I've seen it all before...there's always been a sense of familiarity about it...I dunno...even if you don't believe it, I do...I guess it gives my ler one more reason to mummy wrap me!!! 😛

And remember folks: It's not the size of the man, it is what he accomplishes that is important!!! TRUE STORY!!!

Oh I hear you Camel, I just LOVE Egyptian things. Reading about Greek myth is okay...but I love learning about ALL things ancient Egyptian. (ps: Did you hear about that woman who thought she was the reincarnation of Queen Nefertiti so she went into plastic surgery and had her face remolded and shaped into that of the bust of the Queen? One word to that: whoa.)

i scored high on a greek myth test i was in the top 97% percentile in the U.S....lol..i dunno how i did it but i felt that test was easy..lol...i was 1 of 3 kids in my school to top that..pretty cool..as AR says..i am like Achilles..funny thing is i have the bad tendon which killed him..lmao

Actually an arrow...

You know, if myth draws upon fact in even small measure, prolly Achilles died of blood poisoning [his wound turned septic] - just like another famous warrior of history, Richard Lionheart [from a untended quarrel wound in his shoulder].

At least, think it was so. Memory's playing tricks.

Myth draws upon fact? You mean like when Cronos cut off his fathers Uranus' crotch, and then that bobbed in the ocean fertilizing and producing Aphrodite who washed up on land from wind Gods? (Who could have possibly been fertilized from anything in the sea including Gaea herself?)

oh i know an arrow struck him on his tendon the only place he wasnt invincible at..thats where he was held and dipped into that potion that made him untouchable..except for that very spot..im just ramblin on cause its been a while since i actually have studied/read greek myth..although its quite interesting

THAT is SICK!!!!! That's almost as bad as all of those people getting plastic surgery to look like celebrities...at least we are sure of what the celebs look like...no one has a definite record of what the queen looked like...that bust isn't 100% accurate...oh man...that is just further proof that certain technology has gone too far...and so have the people that use it... :weird:
