For all this Asuka I've never even seen all of Neon Genesis Evangelion, merely snippets of the earlier episodes.

Man, that is certainly something that needs rectifying, at least to know what all the fuss is about over it. Though in the last few episodes be prepared for a real mindfuck (am I the only person who prefered the ending of the original episodes compared to Death & Rebirth and End of Evangelion?). There's even word of a new NGE project called "Rebuild".

What? Watching Eva would entail me buying Eva and, with all the re-releases that have been happening (Limited edition, platinum edition, and so on) I can't bring myself to. Not to mention that I don't watch anything I buy anymore. XD
