Neutron-- please provide us with links to any adult boards that you moderate. I'm sure there are alot of people here who would like to view your example of proper moderation in an adult enviroment.
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I'd like to guess at the origin of Tron's long running feud with the moderators. It probably went something like this:
Tron posted some remarks that were percieved by every person in the forum, except him of course, to be insulting flame bait.
Then, the mods edited the post.
Then, Tron decided that since he was unjustly edited, he would go on a neverending crusade to point out every flaw in the TMF. Whereas most people would simply move on to another message board that suits there taste in moderation, he stays here to constantly alert us all to the pending doom that Myriads and the gang are leading us into.
Nothing personal Tron. We're all just here to have a good time. But you definitely waste alot of your time here. That time could be spent taking a Spring day drive, or a picnic with a nice woman, or a visit to some loved ones. The TMF just seems to get your dander up. Why don't you just accept the fact that things aren't ever going to be to your specifications here. We're not up to your high standards. Please leave us here to wallow in our inferiority.

hmmm....

Here's a question that will raise some heads, and i think it's a fair question, that deserves a fair answer. What is the harm in a minor, we'll just say a 14 year old to 16 year old, seeing porn? Will there head suddenly explode? will they grow up to be depraved individuals? Will they suddenly become evil beings, who lurk in the shadows of day and string up kittens during night? I think not.

If you want your child, or children in general to not be exposed to sex, your best to find a cabin in the woods, far away from civilization, with no TV, no radio, and most importantly, devoid of all human beings or human made products.

The truth, the harsh truth for some, is that sex is all around us. It's in our music, on our tv's, in magazines and comics, and even on innocent billboards.

there are 14 year old girls out there in school, who dress more like hookers then the real hookers do. There are kids who are also that age having sex. Now, is it a big porn conspiracy? i doudt it.

Simply put, in this day and age, sex is pretty aboundent. It's everywhere, and the better idea of ignoring it and trying to shelter the kids by moving them to a monastery, is to face it head on. Explain to them, don't try and keep them in ignorence so you can sleep a little better thinking "Hey, my kid know's nothing about sex, i'm a great parent."

I remember somebody once said, "i'd rather have my kid's see two people making love, instead of killing each other." and you know what, there's a certain truth to that saying. Making love is supposed to be a wonderful thing, of showing feelings towards another, like love and afection. Killing on the other hand is a sign of hate, and brutality, yet, it's ok. How ass backwards is that?

kid's can watch shows and play games where people are blown away by shotguns or have chainsaw's run through them, but the second a pair of tit's comes on the screen, good god! Cover the childern's eyes, burn the abomination that is TV...or atleast until the guns come back on.

I remember when i was younger and i found the playboys and the porn movies. i think i was about 12-14. When my father found out, he simply explained to me that woman weren't like that in real life, Ie, not all sex starved nymphos' to my disapointment 😉

But, even though my young eye's had been exposed, i somehow managed to struggle on, only slightly mentally scared from * gasp* seeing a woman naked!

So, in closing, i will state the question again, how does it harm a child who see's porn?

Wallstreet: What you said hit the nail on the head!
One thing that just accured to me now, based on Tron's little comment is that he seems to be trying to turn members of our happy little family here AGAINST the mods! He's like trying to cause a civil war!
His comment is intended to make ppl think bad of the mods! I think what Wallstreet said about Tron being angry at the mods for editing his insulting posts (one of which was directed recently at me too btw!!! ) is SPOT ON! I didn't want to bring this into it but I will...the post I made about Tickling Video Footage, which is a topic a lot of ppl will find interesting and comment on, Tron was the first one to reply to it and basicly implied that I didn't have a life for asking such a question! Damn mean if you ask me...he may as well have said !@#$ me! And yes Myriads already deleted it so u can't see how nasty it was! Does Tron even give a shit? Who knows. He should be more worried about how he's treating other ppl then a few teens who might have access to some harmless tickle-porn!
