Wii

does anyone know SSBs release date?
I'm all over that game, and it's still To Be Announced 2007.
I mean, if they get Sonic in that game, then I can finally relive my childhood dream battle of Mario VS Sonic.

I'm sure as hell not stopping you, because I prefer my games on consoles.

What's the attraction? 0s and 1s are the same on a hard drive or in a cartdrige... it's not like--for example--the difference between video and film.

It saddens me greatly to see so many people going "meh" to the Wii. Lotsa things in my mind want me to be upset, but I'll jus count to 10 and start again. 🙄

I've greatly enjoyed the Wii- one of the most "Revolution"ary things to ever come into being. I don't have as large a collection yet, but I'm eagerly awaiting more!

The Wii is first and foremost a family and friends game. It isn't designed for people who have massive bloodlust or want games like GTA 🙄 As Nintendo has shown (and as the amazing sales of the Wii show compared to the others- lol PS3 roflcakes and roflskates) they prefer recreational games that anyone and everyone can play. If you wanna get a group of friends together, stand UP (yea no more sitting down-huzzah for getting rid of obesity!) and play together while laughing your butts off, the Wii is it.

Here's a few games for ya that I've tried with my friends and family 🙂

Wii Sports: Nintendo made an amazing decision in adding a game to all its systems. Genius. Whats more is- no one gives a royal crud that it. What they give a crud about is the fact the 5 free games are hours of fun. Bowling, Golf and Baseball tend to be the most loved minigames on the disc. Trust me, after a few games, no one who actually is playing games for fun will say "I hate these games- the graphics aren't good". Wastoid... Golf has become a personal fav of me and my father. A GREAT stress reliever, even if at times we do miss shots and plunk them in the drink. I can't help but laugh when my dad flips out and starts going on a rant like an actual golfer would. Lol he once got so many errors that the game jus made him give up the hole.

Rayman Raving Rabbids: I actually became friends with my sis' boyfriend through this game- and I LOATHE that man (such a horrid thing to say 🙁 ). The minigames are outrageous and laugh out loud funny! But at the same time, as you progress, the minigames get harder. One hard one that we actually had to pass up was the "drag a bunny icon through a very thing maze in 20(?) seconds". If ya touched a side, you let go of the bunny icon, losing a couple seconds while a crowd of bunnies mocked you and laughed at your expense. Woooo the cursing went flying on that level, but so did the laughter. After an hour and a half, we pretty much gave up lol (Thankfully ya only needta coplete 3/4 to continue on). Another one, the dancing one, really gets hard. Try playing DDR, but instead of your feet, you're using your hands and you gotta time it jus right less the bunny falls off stage and you get penalized (and we hadta do quite a few levels several times). Other minigames are simpler and hilarious, like cow tossing, knocking an adorably bandaged up bunny with a hammer as many times as you can before seeing if the bump you made passes a certain height, or saving a buncha Super Bunnies from being trapped in the sand after they failed to fly-all while avoiding picking up the same bandaged bunny and wasting time lol. The biggest thing though to play is at the end of every main level, you gain access at times to the SHOOT EM UP! Grab your plunger and charge as you fight off hordes of hilarious bunnies! Smack a bunny from afar with the plunger right in the face and you'll get a "HEAD SHOT" as the bunny flails and stumbles around, blinded by the plunger. They're so stupidly funny you can't help but love the game!

Super Swing Golf: Talk about a game that fully utilizes the Wii Mote. It'll keep track of everything, make the slightest error in your swing and prepare to watch your ball go horribly off. This game is definately not recommended for people who want to take it easy. I've never played golf in real life- but man...I really put a lot of concentration in this game. And you really have to if you wanna un lock all the characters for Multiplayer Mode (otherwise you're stuck with jus Kid at the start and everyone can ONLy be kid...Bad design imo) as well as play the game through their stories. You haveta be very strategical and haveta make your mark or pray your lucky stars the comp goes stupid. Often times though the computer will do shots that are as close to the "God Mode" cheat at you can get! UGH! A BIRDIE!? SHE HIT A BIRDIE FROM THAT FLIPPIN FAR!? I jus wanna strangle her! (well I actually wanna do more cuz she's hot, but she really broke my nerves and made me loathe playing against her due to how many flippin tries I hadta do). My advice- alway practice before you swing for real. Try and mimic a perfect shot with a practice so you get a Pengya, and then do it again for the real one.

Wario Smooth Moves: Yes- this game is just hilariously odd. Everyone and their grandpa can do these minigames, and you'll still have just as much fun. The Wii Mote again is fully utilized, but unlike Super Swing Golf, the Wii Mote is based more on motion and where it is. The minigames are simple, but ya gotta do it in a couple seconds so speed is the key! Ya only get 3 shots, and more levels spring up the deeper you go! There are styles you use before the start of each minigame, like "The Waiter" where you hold the Wii Mote on your hand as if it were a tray, or "The Elephant" where you gotta hang the Wii Mote from your nose JUST like an elephant and control things thusly, or the Mortar and Paste where you must hold the Wii Mote up and place it in the palm of your hand, then wiggle it around/move it around just like you were grinding up herbs or materials. These are just a few of the things you gotta do, and the minigames are freaky, such as pulling hair out of someone's nose or putting the teeth in an elderly woman or sharpening a pencil or even driving down a highway at top speed while staying on the road (and avoiding monkeys! OMGMONKEYS AHHH!~).

Metal Slug Anthology: I loved Metal Slug on the XBox, and knew I hadta have this when they announced it for the Wii. I haven't played many games, but the experience is just the same. Prepare to kill many things and die many times in this fun side scroller. There are many control settings, so choose the one that best suits you (the controls though were still a little clunky. Gonna haveta check and see if I can jus use my old Gamecube controllers lol). Choose a character and then set loose while you kill enemy after enemy. One shot tends to kill most foes, while 1 shot is all it takes for them to kill you too lol. Thankfully there's quite a few extra lives in the game if needed. The enemies are wodnerful to fight, from freaky brain mutant things to "Taliban" like soldiers to field of zzzzoooommbbbiiieeesss(brainsyummy!). The death animations are funny to watch, and I don't just mean the enemy death animations! When an enemy kills you, depending on the type, you get a diff death animation. Was nasty having my body defiled by a brain sucker-hoo boy you don't wanna see that lol.

Zelda Twilight Princess: This game continues to be the best of the best on Wii, and the best compared to jus about every game on every other system. People fell in love with this game and the beautiful graphics. This is your action/adventure game and they definately spared no expense. Though the Wii wasn't supposedta be all about next-gen graphics, the creators made sure this game was an exception. a Beautiful exception. The controls are easy to use, and there are many puzzles to solve throughout the lands! Sadly, Tingle has disappeared (*cries a little inside* Where's my little rooty tooty fresh and fruity munchkin? Doesn' feel like a complete Zelda without him). Like I mentioned before, the environments that Link is tossed into are astounding! And with the two realms, the ralm of the light and the realm of shadows, nothing is ever the same! If you have a Wii, this is a must have game- It isn't Multiplayer though. But seriously, who cares? Get this game- There is no "but..." you get this game now o.o

There are still many other games that I haven't tried yet, like Elebits for example. And there are many great games I just can't wait to get! Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Mario Party 8, Wii Sims, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, and many more! The Wii has a huge future for itself, and it's definately made sure of that being the biggest contender in the console department. PS3 and Xbox better get their acts together because right now the Wii is leading by a huge margin. However, both systems are having many up and coming games that might be enough to close the gap on the dominant Wii.

It's great to learn- CUZ KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! :super_hap

4. You can't even save those games to a memory card and play them on another Wii. Indeed, each account is linked to one Wii, and one Wii only; if it breaks and you have to get a new one, you'll be buying those games all over again if you want to play them.

but think on this: I have never broken ONE console I've owned, and about all of them are nintendo name brand.

i'm sure there's got to be some way to transfer the old games

I am waiting for software developers to really try and strut their stuff on the Wii...the thing has so much potential...

Coupla examples...

1) Imagine Fight Night games on the Wii...where you get to really throw punches against the computer.

2) A star wars game where you get to feel like you're weilding your own lightsaber.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

i think Wii has good selling points, but another fact of life I'm seeing is I'm seeing fans of the Wii also owning Xbox 360s....I think people will eventually as much fun as they have with wii want something that can do more.....lol I'm sure as hell not passing up a 360 to begin with thanx to oblivion (elder scrolls)

lol OH MY GOD, ELEBITS.

No, really. Elebits is addictive and hard. But fun... However, naturally, Zelda is the freaking best.

Though however you put it, the Wii IS rather expensive. Everything costs so much! Urrrghh!

Tony Hawk Downhill Jam isn't that bad to tell the truth. The fishing game was horrible. Ooh yeah, Metal Slug is the shiznack if you are looking for some good old school fun. Super Paper Mario comes out next Tuesday, which I'm gonna have to give a try. I wonder what they're gonna put on the VC monday, hoping for Super Metroid or Mario RPG, but I won't hold my breath.
