I couldn't care less if it becomes mainstream or not.

How other people deal with their fetish or how vanillas react to the tickling fetish in general doesn't affect me. I never had a hard time with this whole tickling thing, myself.

Though, the word 'fetish' itself tends to have a negative connotation with vanillas in general, almost akin to a mental illness. And tickling's more of a paraphilia anyway, and that's only if you absolutely can't get off without it.

I believe that you having "...never had a hard time with this whole tickling thing...", can be perceived as relative due to the fact you are a young attractive women. It's a sociological and psychological fact that the more attractive the individual is, male or female, the more they are able to achieve within their communities. I'm not saying that you having a fantastic time with your tickling fetish is a negative aspect because of your physical appearance, but instead it is easier for you than most.

I've actually found that substituting it for the word 'kink' seems to go over better, especially when prefaced with 'little'. Or it at least makes me feel better about it. 🙂

I always used the word 'turn on' or just nonchalantly say it'd be something fun to try in bed kinda thing. The less nervous you appear / less of a big deal you make of it, the better the conversation tends to go. In my experience anyway.

I figure it was the fact that I'm a female 'lee. What boyfriend is gonna be like "Ew, no, I won't put my hands on my girlfriend cuz it turns her on."

Of course it's much easier being a female lee than a male ler, but if Brad Pitt was a male ler he still wouldn't have any problems finding willing women. It does have a lot to do with being generally attracted to a person.

Why do fetishes have this negative connotation? Why are people allowed to laugh at foot fetishists? I don't get it. Maybe this is all hard for me to answer as a non-vanilla.

People have a gut instinct to be bemused/horrified by kinks that they do not share. Don't tell me that you've never laughed in horror and disgust at 2 girls 1 cup; but that's exactly what scat and vomit fetishists get off on. Did you ever think about them - hmmmmm? 😉
