Windows 10 - can't see clips

Hi - I have a new Windows 10 computer and I'm using Firefox. When I try to watch clips in the video audio clips section, I get a message that a plug in is needed to watch the video. I have Real Player installed (Real Times), and that always worked before. What do I need to do/install/upload to fix this? Thanks!

Try VLC. That's what I use.

Thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded VLC, but it doesn't work for me either. There must be some weird setting that is keeping it from working. Can't seem to find it.

Does anyone else have advice on playing videos using Windows 10? There clearly is a setting that is keeping me from using VLC and other programs to see video clips here. Thanks.

Are you downloading the clips and playing them or trying to play them within your web browser? I suggest you right click, save target as/save link as and then open the downloaded clip outside of your browser. If VLC cannot play what you download here then you have a very odd problem. Not playing within the browser could be because your old video player plugin was disabled (many browsers are blocking older plugins) or because some obscure media setting was changed. That makes some sense. Not playing on download with VLC installed makes no sense unless your computer is so ancient that it cannot load videos. Try downloading a small, non-HD video if that is the case and see if it works. If so, it is a CPU/graphics card power issue.
