Sorry this starting post is so late. I've been stuck on a deadline. I have a ton of these covers stored, but I've pulled out 50 or so of the best ones. Some are better than others. Lots of bondage and torture. Lots of barefeet. Some racks etc. I'll be posting one a day until I get through this round. The are in alphabetical order in my files, so that's how I'll post them.

Hope you enjoy them. These always come in handy to set up scenes what I write the tickle comics I'm working on.

"Still only 25 cents!" How inspiring to see Adventure hold the line against inflation, even though All Man has made the lethal dime jump! These he-man rags are an unjustly ignored source for wonderfully lurid female-in-distress imagery! Bully for you, BZ Tickler, for this inspired idea! I'm a little too young to have collected this stuff myself (by the time I was receiving a sufficient allowance, the trend had levelled off to a tamed-down Argosy and not much more), but I sure remember ogling 'em on the supermarket shelves! What a blast of forbidden nostalgia! Can't wait to see more!

Yeah they were pretty lurid for the time. I'm 45, but I remember seeing a lot of them on the shelf. I used to collect a few, but they are way to valuable so I let them go. $50 to $100 and up an issue is the norm. The more hard core the cover the higher the price.

Great stuff! I've always been amused by the superfluous Nazi element in many of these covers. I saw them regularly throughout the late '50s/early '60s... you'd think Communists would have been a more likely target. But no... they were intent of fighting WWII. "True" war-time adventure stories from GIs, perhaps.

That third selection bears a remarkable thematic resemblance to one of the infamous 1962 "Mars Attacks" trading cards (see below; a disused design, here fleshed out for a 1994 revival. WARNING: GRUESOME). The guy who painted those cards was supposed to be a pulp artist... I wonder if he was familiar with that cover...

Things started out with the Natzi's and Japanese with these mags after the war. Kind of those stories that came to light kind of a thing. As things progressed, covers started shifting to "Reds" both from China, and Cuba and then progressed into home grown hippie bikers.

Cover-1. Thank god they're hosing down those savage nymphos! If they're swamp dwellers, they could doubtless use it!

Cover-2. ...those wacky Nazis and their molten murder weapons! Small wonder they lost the war, sqaunderng vital resourses that way!

Cover #1: "The story that made Frenchmen blush!" ... right. I'm sure they did a nation-wide survey...

Cover #2: Man's Action, another periodical holding the line at two bits. Wildman Kelly toughs it out with a clean-cut Tyrolean, while the busty red-head braves both frostbite and rape from a marauding tree branch. I like the color in this one, even though the green all seems to have come out of the same tube.

Cover #3: Lola Hearn's Flying Bordello, doing their bit to raise the moral of our fighting servicemen! No wonder the Nazis want them all for themselves!

Amazing! Beer-belly Castros vs. busty lady SEALs! Can't beat it! Plus, those darned Nazis keep offing gorgeous babes for no discernible reason. Nitwits! You can't have a Master Race if you can't breed!

I recognise the first one on this page from the Simpsons - "I'll mace you good!".

What gets me are the expressions on the girls - they face horrible fates with the same sort of reaction as some of the less ticklish models from FM Concepts.

Three more plus an old photoshop manipulation I did when I was bored one night. I used to own that copy. The scene in the story talked about warming her up all over starting with the soles of her delicate feet. They sure could write cheese back then.
