This isn't compleat yet, but it is something I have been working on for a long time. I have taken idea's from the classic story, as well as comic artist/writer George Perez's run on the 1987 relaunch of the Wonder Woman series, and some stuff from the Justice League episodes "The Fury" parts 1 and 2. The idea to make Steve Trevor a Police Detective is my own.

Prologue One: Diana Trevor
In the year 1921 a small plane piloted by Diana Trevor crashed on an uncharted island in what is known as the Bermuda Triangle, or Devils Triangle. She is found and nursed back to health by a band of women who call themselves Amazons, and comes to learn that she is on the fabled island of Themyscira, where their Queen Hippolyta had lead them from the slavery of Rome and Greece thousands of years ago. Trevor had little time to learn about her saviours as they were called to arms against Cottus a multi limbed demon who was attempting to escape from the underworld through a portal. The Amazons were having trouble contending with the demon until Trevor wounded it with her side arm, giving the women warriors a vulnerable area to target. Unfortunately, before the beast could be forced back to hell, Diana Trevor was struck with a fatal blow, and died. The Amazons built a monument to their fallen friend, and later Hippolyta would name her daughter in honour of her.

Prologue Two: Aresia
In late 1942 a ship caring refugees fleeing the terrors of invading Axis forces is sunk. A young girl, held onto by the captain of the ship, floats for days on a large piece of debris from his sunken ship. When the pair finally reach land it is the shores of Themyscira, where they are discovered on the beach by Queen Hippolyta. The girl is taken to safety, while the Captain, found dead, and was buried in an unmarked grave. The child, who's name is Helena Kosmatos, tells the Queen of the brutality of Germany's Hitler and Italy's Mussolini (she had no knowledge of Emperor Hirohito's invasions of Asia). Hippolyta realizes that it is only a matter of time before these Axis forces discover and invade her own land, so she takes it upon herself to join the Allies in their battle against this great evil. Before leaving for man's world Hippolyta declares Helena a new member of the Amazons. Renamed Aresia she would become a great friend and rival to the Queens daughter Diana.

75 Years Later

Hippolyta Queen of Themyscira, home of the mythical Amazons, peers out onto her Island kingdom. So peaceful, so calm. Her sisters she calls them, but in her heart their are two she loves as only a mother could. One being Diana, moulded from clay with her own hands, and brought to life by the goddess' Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite. The other being Aresia, whom the Queen and her people saved when she washed upon the shores of their island home, a victim of Man's World, she lost everything that could ever matter to a child. Now after years of living among them Hippolyta fears she hasn't truly grasped the true Amazon way of peace and sisterhood. Instead a raging demon has emerged inside this once innocent child. Having been so young when the tragic actions of World War II called Hippolyta herself to leave the Island and help the Patriarchs defeat the Axis powers and gain the name Wonder Woman, she doesn't remember everything about her arrival on the island.

"It is time my Queen." Aresia had told her, "The time of men's dominance over the world should be brought to a halt.."

"Child, we live in peace here on Themyscira, man's world is not our concern." replied the Queen, "I learned that not all men are evil, when I fought along side them years ago, against one of the greatest evils since Caligula was Emperor of Rome..."

"Yes, an evil that was created by men, and defeated by you!" exclaimed Aresia, "Why should men have free reign of the earth while we must stay on an island?" she asked.

"I lead my sisters here long before you were born Aresia, and we are free from the ills that man's world caused us, we are fee to enjoy life as we wish." stated the Queen.

"Slavery with out chains is still slavery mother." said Aresia as she turned to leave the throne room, "I have never been disappointed in you my Queen, until now."

The sounds of the her sisters competing in sport, and fun filled play brings Hippolyta back into the present. Just that day it had been discovered that enchanted garments not unlike the ones she had worn to battle the Nazi's had been stolen from the royal vault, and that Aresia appeared to have left the island. Consulting with her sister Menalippe, the Oracle of the Amazon informs her that not only had Aresia left the island, but she had somehow made it to a place in the United States known as Boston. She had already killed over two dozen men in the single night she had been gone, and the local authorities were looking for her. Fortunately the men she had killed so far had been haness criminals, but it was only a matter of time before she killed an innocent man, or was captured and somehow made to explain where she had come from. Their was no arguing that Wonder Woman was needed again, but who would succeed the Queen as the legendary hero?

Boston MA. ...

Detective Steve Trevor entered the Hotel room where the violent act had taken place. In a single night 27 men had been killed all over the city. For the most part he could really care less about 26 of them, the fact that they were all violent sex offenders made him wonder if this was a crime or poetic justice. What bothered Det. Trevor about number 27 murder was that of a man who'd had no criminal record. The only thing that really linked this murder to the others was the description of the woman who may have committed it. She was described as very tall, with long blond hair, and an athletic build. This wasn't much, but the fact that all the men who had been killed that night had been seen with a similar looking woman it was all he could go on. The thing is all the murders seem to be happening all over the city, and nobody could get from one end of Boston to the other that quick. Well maybe that guy in the red suit from Central City, or the one in Metropolis who flies, but other then that nobody.

From the looks of thing, the victim was beat up pretty badly. There was blood all over the hotel room. Then at some point he was knocked through a wall into the bathroom, and finally tossed out a large window. Ironically he'd landed on his own car. There was an eye witness account from a street vender, that he saw the guy tossed through the window, and then a woman jumped off the balcony and ran like the wind into the night. Great, a super powered radical feminist, the papers will be calling her Ms. Misandry, and the women's groups will be branding her a hero by tomorrow morning. Meanwhile this pore bastard didn't have so much as a parking ticket. His only crime was he'd almost cheated on his wife, that was wrong, but he didn't deserve to be thrown through a window for it.

Stepping out onto the balcony, the detective looked through half closed eyes, the sounds of a train in the distance. What was her motive for these crimes, assuming it was the same person, and not some sort of cult, like Boston needs that. Earlier that day his partner Matthew Michaelis had made some lewd remarks about some women crossing the street. Something about wishing they'd commit a crime so he could frisk them. He'd even called them *****s because their skirts were on the short side. Trevor dropped his cigarette and crushed it out with his foot, and began understood why this woman might be doing what she was doing, but also knowing it was against the law. "Ms. Misandry" had to be stopped if for no other reason then because this one hadn't deserved it, even if the others had.

Meanwhile back on Themyscira...

Queen Hippolyta called a gathering of her most trusted sisters. They are her counsel of 12, and they are not all convinced that it is worth their wild to send one of their own to man's world. Several of them feel that it is Hera's will that Aresia has traveled into man's domain, and is hunting down and killing the lowest of them. Some still carry the old hatreds from the days in Rome and Greece when they were enslaved, and mistreated. Others remember when the boats came to their lands, and they were sold into slavery by their own chiefs. Like Aresia, if the boats carrying them hadn't been sunk their was no doubt they would have been made into slaves. Instead they came upon their new home on this island paradise. Yes they missed the men of their native land, but they also knew some of those same men had sold them to the lighter skinned ones from across the sea.

"I tell you their are good men, I know because I fought along side them, I saw them die for what they believed in!" exclaimed the Queen slamming her fist onto marble table, "I know many of you are still angry at what men have done in the past, was it not I who lead some of you here?" she asked, "Have I not done a valiant job of as Queen?" she continued, "The men who did those things died hundreds of years ago, and while their are still bad men, their are also good men, men who try to make a difference, and who will die for nothing if Aresia is not stopped and brought back to Themyscira for trial."

"Trial, for killing men?" said one of the counsel, "Since when is killing men a crime on this Island"

"It's not a crime to kill men if they are invading the island my sister." said Hippolyta with gritted teeth, "But Arisia has gone abroad, with Amazonian artefacts she took with out consent, and she is killing for no reason but personal gratification, and this goes against Athena's laws." she concluded, causing the naysayers to grow silent.

The sun shone through the stain glass that lit the winding stairway with coloured shapes as the Princess Diana made her way up to the room of the counsel. The hem of her majesties purple slip like dress moved with the fluidness of a flowing stream as she leapt over the steps in strides of two, and sometimes three. The princess had heard the rumours of Aresia's having left for man's world, and that she may have been killing with out reason. Ever since Diana and Arisia had first played together as children she knew their was something special about her, and something sinister. Hippolyta had told her it would pass, that it was simply a result of her family's death during the great war, it would appear even her mother was not infallible.

"Why not simply send Diana to bring back Aresia." said a voice as Diana neared the entrance, "We all know that they were as close as sisters, perhaps she can convince Aresia to come home with out conflict." the counsel member continued, "If not, we also know Diana is the best suited to deal with her in a fight as well."

"No, absolutely not!" exclaimed the Queen, causing Diana to sigh in disbelief, "Diana's place is here learning how best to lead, should the day come that I will ever have to step down as queen." said Hippolyta just as her daughter stepped into the room.

The room grew silent as mother and daughter stared at each other, none of the counsel had ever seen Diana the least bit defiant of her mother and Queen, , but they all suspected that would all change today. With a motion of her hand the counsel knew the meeting was over, and that discussions were closed. None could deny that an emissary would have to be sent to bring back Aresia, one way or another. The two women, both strong, beautiful, and stubborn in their beliefs were left alone for what would be a true test of their mutual love and respect for each other.

"Why mother, you know I am the best suited to deal with Aresia, why not simply send me?" asked Diana.

"Because your place is here, as the princess your duty is to one day take my place should I step down and..." said Hippolyta, her words faltering, because even she didn't believe them, "... because I am afraid you will not come back."

"So my sisters’ lives are of less value then my own?" asked Diana, "How can you expect them to go into danger yet not be willing to let me go."

Hippolyta called for Diana to sit with her at the counsel table, as she sat her mother took her hand and tried to find the her words, something she had never had trouble doing in over 1,000 years. Looking up from the tables shimmering surface and into her daughters eyes a single tear rolled down the Queens cheek as she explained her true motivations for not wanting her to take part in the games.

"It is not your body that I am trying to protect." said Hippolyta, "It is your heart."

"What do you mean mother, I don't understand." replied the princess

Hippolyta told Diana about her time in man's world during World War 2. How she joined forces with other gifted warriors like herself, and how they dubbed themselves the Justice Society of America. Among the team was a very special man named Ted Grant, who also went by the name Wild Cat when he was fighting crime. What made Ted most special was the fact that he had no super powers, just a tremendous fighting skills, and the heart and courage of a lion. It seemed that he represented everything both good and ill about men. He was brave and noble most times, and sometimes he could be arrogant and self centered. To Hippolyta his fighting spirit and loyalty to the cause of freedom impressed her so much that she fell in love with him, When the war was over it felt like she was giving up half of her heart when she returned to Themyscira.

"Mother, why didn't you ever tell me this?" asked Diana as the two embraced.

"Because such things are very private, and I was worried about prying ears, and seeming weak as a leader."

"That is rubbish!" exclaimed Diana, "You are a fantastic leader, and an even better mother, and I understand why you don't want me to partake in the games, but I must insist..."

"No, I won't allow you to put yourself through the same sense of loss, please daughter don't fight me on this." Hippolyta both demanded and pleaded all at once, "It is for your own good."

Diana sighs, her face filled with sadness at her mother's pains over her lost love. He must have been quite a man this Ted Grant to have had such an effect on her the way he obviously had. That was no reason for Hippolyta to show such bias and not permit her to take part in the games. The Queen had to know the only person who could truly have a chance at bringing Aresia home was Diana herself. If talking her out of this madness didn't work then a physical confrontation would be the only option, and Diana was the only Amazon who had ever bested Aresia in any sport, and not every time, and never easily. Somehow she would have to find a way to get into the contest and go to man's world.

Looking up at a statue of Athena Diana began to prey for an answer. She asked that Athena either explain that she should be allowed in, or give her a way to get in to the games without her mother knowing. When the princess opened her eyes she saw an Owl sitting on the shoulder of the goddess's monument, and knew it must be a sign from her. The owl opened it's beak and long golden pieces of straw fell onto Diana's hair. The Amazon pull the straw from her hair, along with a few strands of her own ebony locks.

"Straw." said Diana "What are you trying to tell me?" she asked then noticed the strands of her own hair next to it, "A disguise, a wig, of course!" added Diana with a smile, "We always wear small masks in the games, to insure fair judging, but a wig will ensure my identity is secret... thank you goddess."

Boston, 1:47 am...

It had been 3 days since she arrived in this place called Boston. The people here seem divided on over her actions. To her surprise some of her detractors are women, obviously the weaker members of her sex, those brain washed in to believing they need men to survive. Almost all of her supporters of course are women, those who are the strongest and smartest of her kind without a doubt. They call her a hero, an angel of vengeance sent to destroy the evil men of this world. Even they are to foolish to realize that all men are evil and then she intends to leave only enough alive for reproductive reasons, and of course slaves are always useful too. It will be interesting to see the chains on them for once.

As she sits on a thick branch contemplating her next actions she hears the screams of a woman, and her eyes quickly find her running down a path in the park. Several men in black leather and red bandanna's are chasing the young woman, and they are gaining quickly. Suddenly the young woman trips, falling hard on to the asphalt, soon to be surrounded by her would be attackers. With a wild yell Aresia leaps from her position in the tree's and lands in the center of her pack, standing over the young woman like a mother would defending her pups.

"Yo baby, sweet moves!" said one of the men, "Maybe after we're done running a train on this bitch, we'll run one on you hahaha!"

Aresia looked down at the young woman and scowled at her with contempt. The dark haired Latina looked like a fawn about to be shot with an arrow. So sweat, so innocent. It made Aresia so sick she almost wanted to leave her for the wolves. It was fortunate for her that the goddess she had chosen for this holey quest to put the men of the world in their proper place, at the heel of women, namely the Amazon's. There would, of course, be time to deal with the disappointingly week women of the world later. For now, however, she had to teach these ruffian's that not all females were as petty and useless as their would be pray.

It took less then 3 minuets for the Themyscaran (from man's world) to disable and dismember the band of thugs. There bodies laid out in pieces along the path way. Taking the head of one in her hand she raised it to the air like a figure out of Shakespeare and commented on how they hadn't been worthy of her blade. Then she heard a gleeful voice sing her praise, and turned her gaze to the young woman she had rescued. Dropping the slain man's head to the grown she moved in on the girl like a jaguar would an injured elk. In seconds the Amazon had her by the neck and lifted off the ground.

"So week." she hissed, "So pathetic!" she added with a louder tone, "Why would you come through such a place so late at night if you weren't prepared to defend yourself, did you think some hero would swoop from the darkness and save you from these reached beings." she continued, "A woman has to be able to take care of herself, you can't depend on men, all they bring is death and destruction!" Arisia screamed at the woman as she lifted her higher "Killing a fool like you would be akin to an act of mercy!"

"Aresia!" bellowed a voice, "Let the mortal go, you have greater tasks then her to worry about!"

"Athena!" exclaimed the Amazon as she released the woman from her grip, "Forgive me goddess, I forgot myself for a moment." she said as she kneeled before the glowing image the deity, "What is it you require of me next."

"I only require that you listen, and understand." said the goddess, "For I am not who you believe me to be, I am not Athena." she explained, "I am the Goddess of Vengeance, known by my followers as Sakhmet."

"I have heard of you Sakhmet, but you are not of my Pantheon, you are a goddess of Egypt." replied Arisia, "You have your own followers, and your own worshipers, why go to the trouble of tricking me into doing your bidding?"

"Because child I needed an spirit with both anger, and discipline." said the goddess of vengeance, "I knew none on earth were more capable then an Amazon to have both these traits, and in you I saw the greatest of both, as well as the talents needed to attain our mutual goal, revenge."

"You are a goddess, your powers are infinite, why do you require me to do these things for you?" asked Aresia.

"You asked many question, this is a good sign, it shows you are intelligent as well as physically gifted, I made an excellent choice." began Sakhmet, "To answer your question I simply am forbidden to be directly involves in the affairs of mortals." explained the goddess, "In what seems long ago even to your Immortal Queen Hippolyta, the heads of the Pantheon's saw that our time was drawing to an end." she continued, "Rather then fight, and possibly end up like the Titans who came before us, these leaders decided to swear and oath promising to stay out of the affairs of men, until they realized they needed us, and prayed for our return." she added, "I am tired of waiting, but I must respect the pact. Your thirst, however, to Avenge the wrongs of the Patriarch rivals my own lust for vengeance and I decided to aid you in your quest as it is my nature to do so."

"I am not certain I understand your motives to the fullest goddess Sakhmet, but I no longer believe Athena's way is the right path for me or my Amazon sisters." said Aresia, "So I pledge myself to you as my new goddess, and promise to carry on my mission to avenge the mistreatment of women at the hand of the barbaric men of the world." she continued, "I will not rest until they are either dead, or our slaves."

Themyscira, 3:00 PM South Atlantic Time...

"The contests are now done, and their is a tie." stated the Queen as two of her Amazon's stood before her, "The two remaining competitors will now face each other in a contest of bullets and bracelets." she continued, "This weapon, a pistol used by our beloved sister from man's world Diana Trevor, to wound the demon Cuttos." she added, bowing her head in respect, "It will now be used to determine the victor of the games."

The two remaining Amazons took their place in front of a statue resembling Hippolyta, the idea being that whomever failed to block a shot from the gun would lose. At one time the two would have shot at each other, but the Queen found this to be a stupid practice and altered it, much to the dismay of certain parties. Still, it served no purpose to shoot at one of their own, and most have since come around to the Queen's line of thinking on this matter.

First to take the weapon was Philippus the captain of the Guard, and favoured to win the games. Nobody could mistake the tall athletic woman with her beautiful black skin and fearless stance. Well known for her skill with both bow and Sword, and with Diana believed to be bared from the games none were expected to hold up against her, though everyone of her sisters did there best, none on her side of the tournament bracket had stood a chance. Surprising to some, none could truly challenge the stranger with the golden hair. She fought as though the goddess herself willed her to victory, but it would not be so if Philippus could help it.

"My Queen?" said a puzzled voice, "Who is the sister with the golden hair?"

"I believe, my dearest friend, that it is Diana." replied Hippolyta, "By the god's I have a stubborn daughter don't I."

"No less so then you my Queen." said the Doctor, "Only a very stubborn woman could have lead us from slaver to our liberation her on Themyscera, and it will take that very same strength to bring Aresia home."

The crowd stood nervously as they watch Philippus take careful aim at the statue, and squeezed of two rounds. The blond beauty swung her left arm out and deflected both shots with her feminum bracelets, sending the crowd into cheers. The Nubian warrior squeezed of a third round that brought her "sisters" right arm out. The 4th and 5th shots were also blocked, and, to Hippolyta's dismay, the 6th shot appeared to be directed at the Diana's right shoulder. Even though it was successfully blocked the Queen warned Philippus not to commit such a foul again.

Taking the gun into her hands now, the disguised princess fired off 5 shots she knew her opponent would easily block. The ting of lead bouncing of the mystic metal echoed off the walls of the arena, causing the crowd to ew and aw at Philippus's quick reflexes. Then with a sharp jerk of her wrist Diana managed to do what only she or Aresia could ever do, and that was cause the bullet to actually curve off the tip of the barrel and hit the statue just above her opponents defending bracelet. The entire island had gathered to watch this final showdown, and now the entire island stood in silent disbelief as none of them had expected their captain of the guard to lose to their fair haired sister. Then the Queen rose to her feet and, with a tear in her eye, began to applaud both women for their titanic efforts competing in the contest. The entire island joined in cheering as they had never cheered before.

"This is my daughter, Diana of Themyscara, of whom I am very proud!" exclaimed the Queen.

"Mother... you knew... the entire time." Diana said as she removed her mask and wig, "But how, my disguise?"

"It would take more then a wig and a mask to hide you from me daughter." replied Hippolyta, "I am your mother, your queen, and a warrior as well, even if your disguise had hid your appearance from me, it wouldn't have hid your fighting style." she added, "All hail the new..."

"FOULE!" exclaimed Philippus, "I call foul, the princess was not supposed to take part in the games, and she was personally denied admission to them by you my Queen."

"Something I now see was an error of judgment Philippus, in over two thousand years as Queen I think I am entitled to one mistake." replied Hippolyta to her Captain of the Guard, "I would suggest a little more decorum from my best warrior, but I am sure I don't have to."

Philippus nodded, and turned to Diana and congratulated her with a hug. Although the princess excepted it, and embraced her sister Amazon, she felt a certain lack of sincerity in the gesture, and knew things between the two would never be the same again. The loud cheers of the crowd caused the two women too turn and bow, Philippus raised Diana's arm as a gesture of respect, but a jaded scowl hid under her bright smile.

A few short hours later Diana stood in Athena's temple with her sister Drusilla beside her. Before them stood their mother, who had been the original Wonder Woman, several of her personal aids behind her. Each of the Queen's assistance carried a piece of the Wonder Woman apparel or equipment. The bracelets of Feminum, a golden tiara, the lasso of Truth, and a suit of leather armour coloured in the stars and stripes of the American flag, with a golden eagle on the breast plate. This had been done to pay tribute to Diana's name sake, as they found the flag of the United States of America painted on the side of the plane, and rightly believed it to be a symbol of her land, ironically the Eagle happens to be an Amazonian symbol as well.

"Most important of all these gifts is the golden belt." said Hippolyta, "Once stolen from me by Hercules, but regained many years later, it will add to your already great strength, speed, and other natural physical gifts." she continued "Also, if you or Aresia were to have your belts removed, she would rapidly age, and you would..."

"Revert to the clay I was moulded from?" asked Diana.

"Yes, I am afraid so." replied the Queen.

"Tell me one thing mother, having fought along side them, what are men like?" she asked as she put the leather armour on.

"Men, what can I tell you about men." said Hippolyta, with a smile the likes of witch her daughters had never see before, "They are like children, and gods, geniuses and fools, they are all things, with potential that is limited only by they themselves."

"The Landinarian has taken the form of a plane my Queen." said an Amazon as she bowed slightly, "Upon arriving at the Patriarch land called... Boston, it will fly into a body of water and form a transparent orb where you can retreat to if need be."

"Thank you my sister." said Diana, "And thank you mother, I will do my best to succeed you as wonder woman, and bring Arecia home."

"I know you will, but remember this, just as I learned not all men are bad, I came to learn not all women are to be trusted either." warned the Queen, "I learned many times that ones gender does not dictate ones principles."

I know this isn't very detailed, but it is just meant as a concept I would like to send to DC comics if I knew how to get it to them. I think Warner Brothers has an office here in Toronto still (my mothers Aunt worked for them along time ago) and if I finnish this I may look into going there and bugging them until they give me a chance. Most people who have read this seem to think it's pretty good. I wouldn't mind hearing from my fellow Forum member, especially the female population.

Pretty cool

Any thoughts?

This is a nice mix of the original WW origin combined with the modern revamp. I also like your own twist on how Diana and Steve will meet because he is investigating Arisai's murders. It is a little different from the original story, but if you are going to up-date Wonder Woman for a movie in the here and now, then some chainges should be expected. The casting is good, but (other then Lynda and David) may be a little older then Hollywood is looking for. I mean who doesn't think Lynda should play the Amazone Queen in a Wonder Woman film, that would be a no-brainer IMO.

Unfortunately, DC Comics doesn't accept any unsolicited scripts, stories or art anymore. They will pitch it without looking at it. You'll either have to get them to give you permission to send it to them (and good luck with that!) or get your stuff published elsewhere first, to get noticed by them.
