Just in case that is so, a hair brush with those firm, plastic bristles only "hurts" as much as fingernails might. As for a toothbrush, use some logic. Those things touch your gums, and that flesh is far more tender than your feet or anywhere else for that matter, and they don't get hurt. Think about it. It makes sense after a while.

wow bella donna your right, i guess i just never had my feet tickled with a brush before lol or anykind, to be honest not even nails, none of my friends have long nails.

its funny, though, that you would mention a lot of people not having stocks. Papi and Meka-- our resident tickle couple-- use a wide-backed, strutted chair as stocks; at least until they own their own place, at which point we're going to collaborate some devious designs to build a pair--but thats beside the point. Lol
I guess what it comes down to is how creative you're willing to be. I've seen pics of a guy who made makeshift stocks out of a footlocker. (ironic as hell, I know. XD)

These two are the ones I was referring to. They make videos and photo sets, in addition to just being really awesome people. On the deviantart page, the first picture you'll see is precisely what I'm referring to with the chair.
And its interesting that you should say that; I find myself fine with being tickled anywhere BUT my feet. I'd have to be tied down, if not sedated completely. Lol

I finally decided to check this thread out and it made me realize that I really need to start using my stocks more.

I will say that make sure that there is either padding built into them or grab something for some padding between your leg and the wood...wood can start to hurt after awhile.

Yes brushs don't hurt but they tickle like crazy lol
