WWE: Am I the only one who loves The Miz?

While his in-ring abilities are average at best, he has improved a lot since the break up with John Morrison. That, plus his ability to instantly piss off and entire crowd on the mic, he reminds me of Chris Jericho when he was first starting out (specifically, his run as the TV champ in WCW).

It'll be interesting to see where he lands in 5 years.

I was disappointed to see he didn't get the Superstar of the Year Slammy. I think he's come a LOT farther than John Cena has. John Cena was already sitting at the top. Miz jumped from a mid-carder to the top of the food chain over the course of about a year, and average wrestler or not, he knows how to get a crowd to react, which is paramount. He's essentially responsible for the creation of a minor internet meme called "Angry Miz Girl". You just don't SEE reactions like that among wrestling fans, these days, kids included.

I do like Miz's ability on the mic, though he could stand to improve a hell of a lot in ring. I think what also really hurts the Miz, is Cole's constant slurping of him. People are associating him with Cole and I think thats doing as much if not more damage than his less than stellar in ring skills.

As for superstar of the year, I love Cena myself, but the kind of pop that Orton got this year as well as the year that Miz had should have trumped anything that Cena had done. Guess thats the fallacy of online voting *shrug*

No doubt the Miz got screwed on superstar of the year, giving credit where credit is due, what did John Cena do this year outside of win the WWE championship at WM and have a nice run with Nexus.

I still say Morrison carried the Miz for the time they were together and when Morrison finally gets over and beats Miz for the WWE championship, everyone going to see it.
