This upcoming release if further commitment to our busy 2011 release schedule. Where we only had a couple comic releases per year in the past, we are now aiming for a new release every 1-2 months. The May 2011 release is the newest installation of our The Agencies: Frontiers line.

The Agencies: Frontiers is a unique entry into our catalog. We only intend on releasing 10 issues of this comic line, then it will be finished. It is meant to be a supplemental story to The Agencies. It takes place at the same time, but features different characters and a different setting. We are revealing a unified storyline this year. While that sentence doesn't make a lot of sense, this comic line will go a long way in explaining it, as well as the events in our other comics. I don't want to spoil the surprise; I'll just comment that those who love story arcs with character development will love what where we're going without interfering with the action in the books.

The Story Thus Far...

Mister Nathan, the head of The Agency, has assigned a top secret mission to his best guy, Agent White. Agent White is to assemble a team and head out to the frontier to rescue a frontier family under the protection of The Agency. Mister Nathan needs the family for undisclosed reasons, and needs his best men and women to bring that family back safe.

Unfortunately, the family recently fell under attack by a roving gang of marauders who call themselves "The Nine." The father and son were murdered in cold blood before the agents could save them, leaving the mother and two daughters highly traumatized. They fled the scene, heading to the drop point where a jump jet would shuttle them back to the city to safety. Agent Crosshair, a beautiful blonde with a deadly hair trigger, was captured in her attempt to help the heroes and the family get back to safety.

Agent White was instructed to leave no agent behind. So he, along with his team member Agent Shield, and the family, are on the trail to help save their friend.

Along the way, the group restocked supplies at Vesdin, a small stinking frontier town. In that town, the local sheriff hired a mercenary named Alyson to bring in the mother and oldest daughter of the family for an impromptu interrogation. The two were saved by Agent White and Agent Shield and are now back on the trail to find their friend.

Agent White and Agent Shield check out the house, only to find the members of the gang slaughtered gruesomely, with only one survivor: a liaison to the gang. That's where issue #3 comes in.


Cover to the Issue

Here is the cover art for Issue #3. It features the Liaison wrapped up in some ropework crafted by Agent White. Agent White sits in the chair here, smoking and looking somewhat ominous as he's about to begin. The Liaison is a high ranked member of "The Nine" and has a lot of information to share.

This issue features lots of all-over M/F tickling. It features quite a bit of consensual and non-consensual tickling (The Liaison ends up being a rather kinky gal, but everyone has their limits).

Pinup

For those interested in the production process, here are the various steps in completing the pinup for this issue. Knowing that this story takes place out in the frontier away from civilization, I wanted to capture a nice moment with one of the main characters just enjoying a natural shower to wash off all the muck and grime.

So this pinup features Agent Shield doing just that. And yes, there is a naughty version of the pinup available with the purchase of the book.

Step 1
After I gave the description for the scene, the studio came back with this initial mock-up. It's not what I was looking for at all, so it's back to the drawing board. It didn't really look like Agent Shield and just lacked a lot of sexiness to it. That's ok, not everything is gold the first time around. We just try, try again until it looks good 🙂

Step 2
This is the second try. Much better! I love her pose here and getting lost in the moment. It's a fun little scene.

Step 3
This is the first stab taken by the colorist and she just hit it out of the park! The only feedback I had at this point was Agent Shield's swimsuit just looked a bit more passive with the coloring. I know there is bright sunlight in the back, but it was still blending too much into her skin.

Step 4
Final version. Lovely 🙂

Attached is the colored page 1 of the book. The pencils/inks are all completed for this issue; we're now in the coloring stages. Things are trucking along, and this should release by May, given the colorist's previous pace.

Page 1 here shows Agent White and Agent Shield investigating the tip given by the mercenary Alyson, who had captured Tess/Ginny in the previous issue and sold them to the local sheriff. Alyson tends to play both sides of the fence, to whatever end she finds most exciting and fun. She was Agent White's lover at one point and a talented agent before she went rogue and disappeared. She is deadly, taking out an entire armed contingent of "The Nine" with little difficulty (as shown here in panel 2).

As Agent White and Agent Shield investigate the house, they find the Liaison to "The Nine", who is featured here in panel 3. While she could have fled after the earlier bloodbath, she chose to stay. Maybe she likes the rough stuff?

That one is having production complications. Pencils/inks are done, it's in coloring right now. It will be delayed, but we're optimistic for a June release.

June sounds about right. It's hard to tell until I actually get the work into my hands, but so far that's my best guess. Might even be as early as a couple weeks from now, but that's optomistic.

I think they're going though some transition pains; they've been incredibly professional and pleasant to work with over the years so I'm backing off until they're ready to submit the colors to us.

Another masterful work. The art is stunning, as is the narrative. The issue's as much about character development (for Agent White) as it is the action.

Fans of the Agencies universe will certainly find some surprises in the text, as well. But no spoilers. 🙂

Thanks man. I appreciate the lack of spoilers, too 🙂 Not everyone reading these is into interwoven plots and character development, but I like surprises for those that are.

Really glad you like both the art and the story. I was worried when the studio did some of Issue #2 that they weren't going to have the chops for the books. But then they did the pinups to Issue #2 at the end and I was like "omg...umm, more of that please." Then this issue went much smoother with them after we did a rather exhaustive review of the things that could use improvement.

I look forward to seeing what they do next!

Alyson (whom we met in Issue #2...Agent White's ex-lover who turned in Tess/Ginny) finds out about a remote encampment for "The Nine" slaughters most of the encampments inhabitants, but leaves one alive: The Liaison. She is tied up and left for Agent White and troupe to discover.

This is the scene where Agent White and Agent Shield find her. She's not quite what they expected. She's actually a bit wild, but it's something Agent White likes.

The frontiers are a tough environment, but sometimes it's fun to let loose and have some fun.

So he does 🙂

Just so you know, The Agencies: Frontiers #2 also has M/F, as does Tickle Magnet #4 (more of a group scene than strictly M/F). Ruthless #1 is M/F (until you realize it's just an elaborate fantasy created by Stacia Walton to brutally tickle herself), and we have an upcoming new serial that will be heavily M/F.

So it's not totally dead...just...resting 🙂

I like M/F too and think it should make a comeback. Hell, I may even do some F/M just for fun!

By M/F , I mean the crux/center of the plot/storyline being presented in the comic . Those M/F scenes(apart from AF#2) didn't take a center-stage in any of those issues you mentioned .

So , my point still stands .

And as far as F/M is concerned........really !? Cuz I find nothing hotter than a cute babe getting her fiendish nails on a helpless guy . :drool
