Your Favorite Batman Villains

Gonna have to throw in a vote for Scarecrow myself. A villain that can literally frighten you to death. Scary stuff.

I would say Mr. Freeze...he was one of the only villains that exhibited enough pathos to make batman feel very conflicted about defeating him.

I like Mr Freeze as well, its a shame his character was ruined by the Governator running around in a glowing blue suit shouting "Lets kick some ICE"

Mr. Freeze was always my favorite. He seriously rocked in the animated series!
The Scarecrow was my second favorite. He was just creepy and weird.
Man-Bat was cool too.

What? No love for Egghead from the 60's series. I always thought that he was one of Vincent Price's more memorable character renditions. Philistines!

wasn't there a villan called "the tickler"? all the catwomen were picks of the litter: newmar, kitt, mereweather, honor blackman( j/k to see if you are paying attention) Batman's favorite bait when fishing? "old chum" of course. The scariest villan would be aunt harriett in a bikini.............you'd jump to the batcave w/o the pole to escape that.

I've definatly got to agree on Mr Freeze, though Arny was a poor choice, Mr Freeze was not a huge guy, it was mostly the suit if I remember correctly. Ive also got to give mention to another no one has said yet, I love Bane (not movie version Bane, that was horrible). In some of his versions he's almost on par with Batman for his intelligence and massively strong, good combination in my eyes.

Riddler (the short lived version that didn't wear a costume and had a question mark tattoo on his neck)

Poison Ivey (animated version pre-green skin)

Scarecrow (prefer the version from the Nolan films)

Mr. Zsazz (I can never remember how to spell that)

Bane

Catwoman is not a hero but she's also not really a villain so I don't include her.


As to when Batman first appeared - 1939 ( I drew the blood of Bob Kane's mother which is why he had the nightmare that lead to the creation of Batman ... so I'm almost Batman's godfather ... Oh, and the mother of John Wilkes Booth was also a victim of mine which probably lead to his evil misdeads .. but that's another story. Being a vampire centuries old certainly leads to interesting connections)
