Well, I never thought I'd ever say this. I really don't like my fetish.

Maybe it's because I'm finally getting more successful in regards to being able to talk to women without 'spilling my spaghetti' as it were, but I wish I wasn't the kind of man, sexually, that I am. I'm absolutely positive we've had these threads before, and if I'm not mistaken there was one here just recently. I suppose I'm just venting if nothing else.

I don't like how I'm always the one who's the kinkiest whenever the subject comes up, either with guys or girls. Let me clarify, I'm not going around to strangers and striking up conversation about what turns them on, these things just tend to flow into talk somehow. I'm not saying my friends are the kinds of "Missionary Position soley for the means of Procreation!" People, but I've never found someone even into bondage.

I hate how I'm always in suspense when people, even people I trust extremely well, know about my foot/tickling fetish. I always feel like I'm seen as a perv because I get aroused with seemingly everyday things like feet and tickling.

I'm almost positive I've got something wrong, like I'm addicted to porn or something. I do my thing in the morning, and at night, sometimes during the day if I'm caught up on my homework from my professors. That means I'm averaging over twice a day. I have a two to one endurance in the sack, but that's not worth feeling like i'm 14 all the time.

I'm not going to bother closing with "Does anyone else feel like me?" Because I know some, if not most of you do. I'm going to end this like I'm sure many other threads before me have closed... Does anyone know any way to get rid of my fetish? Do I just slowly ween myself onto regular porn? Do I stop pleasuring myself completely for a while? I just want to be a normal guy.
 
You can't get rid of your fetish. What you can do is start accepting yourself the way you are and get a little more self-esteem.

Because THIS makes you different from everybody else. You are 18, so you just stumbled right out of High School. In High School, being different is pretty much the same as having some nasty, visible disease. That's why this makes you feel so uncomfortable! Trust me - that will change. And you know what? All your friends probably have a kink themselves. They just don't admit it.

Rhiannon is right. Everyone has what they consider a dark secret or a dark fantasy. The guy you lift weights with,you never know,that guy might have a thing for women's underwear. The smart kid you know in your math class might have a foot fetish not necessarily related to tickling..and the list can go on and on. Don't be ashamed of who you are,embrace it. If the subject of such matters comes up again in conversations,then remember..discretion is the better part of valor. You don't have to openly admit your kink to people in a conversation because its none of their business especially if you're not sharing a bed with them. If anyone asks you if you have any kinks you can tell them you neither confirm or deny it and leave the mystery at that. Don't hate yourself Antarion for what you are or think you are. I'd like to tell you to just get over it, but I know that won't happen. Eventually you'll internalize the fact that most people simply don't care if you have a foot fetish. If you're not lurking in the subway with a video camera or starting threads here about how to grope strangers (*cough*) then it's no big deal. Take it from a guy who's made a vocation out of it; they don't care.

You ARE normal. You just haven't figured it out yet. TMI time; I tend to punish the president pretty regularly when I'm not in a relationship, or when I'm suffering from depression. Things have been pretty bad lately. I've given myself a Rusty Venture on at least one occasion. Sex is stress relief.

I don't know how old you are, but I was in your shoes once. Trust me, you need to figure out what it will take to get you to accept your fetish, not get rid of it. You will be a LOT better off.

You're all awesome, and I am reading everything. I don't want to sound like I'm shutting you guys out, but I am still skeptical.
 
I know this is kind of cliche, and it's also not meant to be condescending in any way, but you're only 18.
I'm not saying that in a bad way, but I imagine even within the next 5 years, if you put just the tiniest bit of effort, you'll come across folks who are way kinkier than you. It takes a while for people to be comfortable with different sides of their sexual selves.
I realize you're here for some sort of advice into letting go of your fetish, in order to not masturbate so much, I guess? I'm not sure if that has anything to do with your fetish necessarily. Again, you're 18.

My best advice is, give it some time and try to meet new people. You'll be happier in the end.
Hardly anything good comes from suppressing sexuality.

Gonna have to second the "Jesus, you're only 18!" crowd, here. When I was 18 I was still living at home with a mother who thought the best way to educate me about sexual matters was to snoop in my room, find my stash, and then indignantly confront my father with it and tell him to "talk to me".

I didn't come to terms with my fetishes until I was in my 20s. You've got a ways to go, yet.
 
A foot and tickle fetish is far from being the kinkiest fetishes around But it's not a contest anyway. Most people could care less. And the ones you should be concerned about are those with whom you have or hope to have a more intimate relationship. Don't let your imagination run away with reality. Relax. Being around high schoolers all of the damn time, I can tell you that for most, not standing out in any way is a goal. So I wouldn't really be comparing yourself sexually to many who haven't had much sexual experience, nor who would admit what they really like to you or anyone else. :)
 
You are hardly the kinkiest person you know.

What you are is a man at the start of his life. Psychologically you are not even finished yet, you have another six or so years.

What you do have is the internet, and it's allowed you advanced progress on learning what turns you on. An experience that often would take a person a decade or more in pre-internet days. So you've learned about part of your sexuality, and started to see how it fits with you while you are 18. You are ahead of the game already.

Most folks have some odd twists in their sexual matrix. It's the norm, not the rarity. That many don't know they have them or admit to them does not make it such they don't have them. People are not going to be jumping up to share what turns them on in the darkest corner of their hearts either. Many feel that no one would understand or accept them (Example, I've known more then my share of women that have rape fantasies. Most don't share this, as it's a socially stigmatized fantasy.) so you'll never know if the woman sitting next to you in class gets off on Missionary Sex, or Being strangled while you call her a dirty little girl who knows what she deserves as you fuck her brains out.

Relax. It's just sex. You have your likes. Others have theirs. None, for the most part are 'right' or 'wrong'. Just learn how your's fits with the rest of your sexuality. And you'll do this by practicing. It can be a rather amusing educational process.

Two or three times a day at 18? Spot on normal. You hit the Kinsey mean on the nose.

Lol... Also from CA... Growing up, I thought I WAS normal. I think things are difficult when you feel you are alone in this or any kink. I love it. I love my friends knowing something's up, but they just can't quite put their fingers on it. I like how they think the hubby and I are cute but goofy when he tickle attacks me in public.
