Last Saturday I traveled to The Walkersville Southern Railroad to ride behind a restored steam locomotive. A father and son have an unusual hobby of buying rusty and broken down steam locomotives then repairing them and taking them around the countryside to tourist railroads and giving rides. You can find out more about the Grambling father and son railroad people at a website called "Have Engine Will Travel". This year they were using a restored engine from The Lehigh Coal Company #126. As I boarded the train Union troops with muskets and pistols were aboard and a few miles down the track the train stopped so they could engage with Rebel troops along the tracks. The Union troops started firing their black powder rifles and pistols and left the train to rout the Rebels. The Rebels soon gained the upper hand surrounding the Union troops defeating them and then came aboard the train for the rest of the journey.
