I feel for you, Nicole But you have made the right decision... regardless of his excuses or whatever "comes out" in the future, the bottom line is that he has been deceitful and your trust has been shaken. And he's behind bars. i don't know how you recover things from that, only to say its to your credit to remain his friend somehow.

Just be careful sweetie... his suggestion that you see other people while he's inside should really cement it for you. Hang in there... you deserve better and there's someone out there for you who will recognize that

Well I just think it's good that you got to talk to him. Any person in your situation would need that, no matter what they intend to do afterwards.

That's not trust. He still expects me to do to him what all his ex-girlfriends did before me. If he trusted me, if he knew me at all after nine months, then he would know I would never do that.

I'm so sorry that you are having to go thru all that, Nicole. Despite what he might believe, you remained trustworthy, even if he never trusted you in the beginning. You did what you were supposed to do. Rest in that fact. You are such a beautiful, amazing, strong woman, and we're all here to help you get through this.

I hope that you find the positive closure that you deserve to have from all of this. All I would like to say is that I do hope you are fully through with him and that you're ready to move on: my ex-best friend decided she wanted to go back to the person who abused her... something which he has gained the title of "repeat offender" for. I really don't want to see this happen with another person I know... I'm very happy for you and I'm glad and hope that you are fully past him, for good.
