You have every right to do whatever you want to do. Since this "God" is and always has been non-existent, humanity made up stories and fairy tales to make themselves feel better about themselves; to make it seem as if there's a purpose beyond being simple creatures that evolved from infinitely simpler creatures over millions of years.
You're right, Rectangle - we're insignificant. It sucks to think about the truth, but guess what - the truth hurts. It just so happened that life began to form on this planet a long, long, LONG time ago, by perfect happenstance. That life evolved, adapted and got more and more complicated, was wiped out by several mass extinctions, and what was left evolved some more. All of this happened on a tiny pale blue dot in a massive universe that's so hugee, it will take eons for us to explore it, but the truth is, there's no intelligent design behind it. The concept of some all-powerful, all-knowing being guiding everything is childish and silly, and if you're so weak-minded that you need to latch on to a fairy-tale in a man-made book to feel better about yourself and the state of the world, then I pity you.
The facts and the truth are all around you, yet you look to the sky, hoping that something you've never seen, heard or felt, something that is a complete fallacy, will save you from the admittedly depressing end that awaits all of us.
Enjoy wasting so much of your time praying to your hyporcitical, petty, magical cosmic Jewish zombie in the sky.
