It's the young people that bother me the most.All they seem to care about is Twitter,Facebook,Myspace and the latest Britney Spears cd.They have no roots,no connection to the past.

History is not the be all and end all,but i do think it's important to know where we came from.

Historians are just not valued anymore by most people.It's all about what happened yesterday,or the week before.Most peoples historical perspective is limited to what they have witnessed at best.

I dare say if i asked twenty random people,four of them would not know who our current president is.But they could no doubt tell you all about American Idol.We are awash in a sea of ignorance and indifference here.It makes me sad.🙁

Probably more then Americans learn about Europe.Even when i was in school in the 1960s we didn't cover most of it.And that's normal i guess.What i know i have learned on my own.Most people find history rather dull poor bastards.😉

No reason to feel bad about that.I doubt most Americans could even locate Sweden on a map,let alone know anything about it.They are too busy playing video games and watching pablam like American Idol..sigh.
