I'll explain exactly why... it's because you have a pattern of harassment and trouble-starting, and generally being mean and viscious. That attitude reached it's limit for me when you went into goth's thread about how he might have lost saeria and started pissing all over their relationship.

Then when confronted about it, you were an even bigger, meaner shithead.

You've been warned repeatedly, and when repeated warnings don't work, we eventually take stronger steps like this one.

Shambles, it was a dick move to post in Goth's thread and you should have known better. Bitching about the consequences here is the last thing you should be doing. If you can, you should delete this thread, and you should send Goth a PM apologizing for your behaviour. :facepalm:

You expressed your opinion, and it was made clear that it was unwelcome in that context. So because you're a mean-hearted person, that made you dig in even deeper and really try to do some damage.

Then when someone confronted you about it, you actually had the balls to report that person to the mods here.

THAT is when I finally realized that there is just no reaching you. You're a vicscious, mean-hearted troublemaker, and the sooner you force me to ban you, the happier a place this will be.

I think, darling, that somewhere deep down (deep, deep, deep down) you thought it helpful to list all possibilities so none come as a surprise to Goth and you were trying to be 'real' and it offends you/ hurts you a great deal to have negative things said about you. At the same time, I believe right now, everyone is in agreement that it's not helpful, so to speak. Being supportive for him means saying, "Whatever happens, whatever you need, you just let me know. I'll keep you in my thoughts." And if there is anything you can do, you go on ahead and take a crack at it. But bringing negative possibilities to a hurtful situation wasn't easing minds.

I am sorry it had to happen this way. I've noticed that you've been trying a GREAT deal to be more civil, participate more, and contribute.

I can't tell you how many times Jeff or another mod has slapped me down for attacking you in a manner they deemed inappropriate, even though
99% of the forum would applaud me for doing so. But I overstepped, and they (sometimes quite firmly) let me know. Don't ever say they've not been fair. It's worked in your benefit (how many second chances, anyway?) far too often for a smart fellow like you not to have seen.
 
I can imagine how Goth feels at this moment having been in a similar situation. I know myself what it is to be worried about someone you truly love very much and know it is all up to fate what the outcome might be. My love passed away. Goth has a chance to get his back and was merely asking for support and positive ideas on how to go about resolving this situation by first finding Saeria and making sure she is safe, nothing else. He asked for some hope.

Help and support. It's that simple. Not a kick in the teeth. If Saeria were diagnosed with terminal cancer and he asked for support, would you send him a list of funeral parlors in his area?

A lot of us have met these two quality people and and are truly interested about their well being. Jeff may be one of these people. I know I have a short fuse when it comes to my friends and maybe Jeff does too. So when he asked you to tone it down and step back maybe, just maybe, he thought your response as inappropriate regarding this situation. A lot of us do. And before you start in about your rights and what's fair just remember this is a benign dictatorship and not a democracy. This is why this site runs so well. If I had done what you did I would also be under a ban from the General Forum.

And it seems that once again you have turned the theme of a thread and put yourself in the spotlight. That bright light also shows flaws and smudges for people to see and remember.

Babyshambles opinion in the goth thread is a valid one and it didnt come off as mean spirited to me at first, and re reading it i personally dont see it as coming off intended to hurt goth but only open him up to the possiblility. But never the less it was not the place to post the opinion and the posting of it was sort of inapproiate but not the thought itself.

I have just re-read all the messages in the General forum and cannot for the life of me see how I have broken any Golden rule.

I would kindly like Jeff to show me the rule that I have broken which bans me from the General forum, or else reinstate my being able to post there.

If this is not possible, please tell me when I will be able to repost there - perhaps in 1 week.

I offered an opinion, and in everything that I have read, it was a valid opinion expressed as sensitively as possible.

Please can I have an answer.

Maybe I would have apologised for causing unnecessary hurt, but instead I get Skip saying im stirring up shit and calling me a troll and jeff calling me a shithead and probably never having had a relationship.

I expressed a valid opinion in a valid thread and was flamed!!! Flamed badly I might add!!!

If I am banned, it's on the whim of Jeff, some other mods and such like.

I make every effort to make constructive posts and contributions on this forum, and all I get for it is grief.

Even popular girls like Annie Hall get grief when they express an opinion which some people don't like.

I honestly just wish people would be decent and supportive and act with integrity.

Maybe it's not your fault. Maybe it is. But we aren't here to help you figure that out - people pay psychiatrists for that.

Sure it might not be what goth wanted to hear, but it was expressed sensitively enough and I believe it to be the truth.
