Shambles, I read the post. Personally, I didn't think you were attempting to offend anyone. It may not have been terribly wise to make assumptions about one trying to escape a relationship, but what's done is done. I hope that this can be worked out amicably.

Present. I don't think you're being treated fairly at all.

Though in my opinion, this forum has never been entitled to fair policing and has never received it. I think the rules are enforced according to popular will, but that does make the most amount of people happy so :shrug:
 
Yeah, the problem with a group of people ganging up on one individual for simply being naive is that the group ends up acting far worse than the individual even intended too.

I read the post and basically this is what I gathered: someone thought he was helping but ended up coming off as unthoughtful. So, it was basically well intended but unskillful. I mean, if I'm missing something here, I'd love to hear it because the anger in this situation is totally off putting.

I do sometimes say things which are perceived as thoughtless, but I always act with the best intentions.

If you want to see the type of reaction I am getting around here, have a look at what Viper wrote on my visitor messages wall.

It's simply uncalled for in my opinion.
 
"Unthoughtful" is putting it mildly, I think. Sorry, but I just don't see how the things Babyshambles was saying to and about people in that thread are defensible; if you read it, then you know he said them more than once and got nastier as he went on. I don't feel a bit sorry that he was banned from GenDisc over those comments.

As for the claim of expressing an opinion sensitively, you'd have to be pretty thick not to realize that there's no way in the world to express that particular "opinion" sensitively.

If you look back, I did mention that I was putting forward a dissenting idea and I tried to make the point very sensitively.

I would have left it at that.

I re-iterated my point after being called a shit-stirrer and a troll by skip.

Perhaps I should not have been upset at her criticism, but I wanted to defend my position and why I believed I was expressing an honest opinion with the best of possible intentions.
 
You are trying to drum up support from lurkers just like in your faux "i'm leaving thread". This place is not run by majority votes. The two people that run the place will decide when your cancerous attitude is enough. You were banned from the UK forums for flaming when people didn't agree with you and it's easy to see, this forum isn't far behind. Enjoy TickleCity.

I have never really used them, let alone had the opportunity to be banned by them???

Also, even if this was directed at someone else, I would viscerally diagree with these words in your statement

The point is you have alienated yourself from everyone on the forum. Those who didn't already dislike you over the thread you posted a couple years ago about your little train incident have grown to dislike you over your constant baiting and general trolling in other's threads. Your cries of being a victim are falling on deaf ears because you have said many hurtful things to many people, and then feigned ignorance when confronted. You show absolutely no remorse for any of the things you say. And then on top of that, you try to call on others who lurk because of people like you as if you were some sort of electronic revolutionary trying to overthrow the regime of the TMF.

Bottom line is, you either truly are the mean-spirited person Jeff says you are, or you are just absolutely ignorant of the shit you cause because you have zero social skills. But no matter what, you are on the course to being perma-banned, and no matter what you may think or say, the truth is it was nobody's fault but your own.

I think it's a bit heavy handed, but I do not think someone who finally made good on chance five thousand has the ability to bust someone else's chops. Real to real. No offense bro.
