OMFG,who needs a tissue. There was a gathering on a trial basis to see if it would work,it obviously did. They will most likely do it again.Get over it.

Thank you.
Venray BROKE BOTH HIS ANKLES just a few months ago. No one was sure this event could even happen, much less when or how. A small gathering was put together to see if it would be well attended and feasible to have it as a non-private event every year after this. Reading any petty conspiracy theorist in-crowd baloney into it serves no purpose and anyone doing so should be ashamed of themselves.
Forgive me if I sound ignorant, but before I take the time to post about my memories here; is this the thread to do that in?...This is the place to do it, or does a new thread need to be made?

Because the way I'm seeing it is that this is turning into a discussion about probable 'in crowd' and more clique mentality bullshit. Which is a thread that's almost guaranteed to blow up, and then the focus will be on supposed forum politics instead of the sharing of memories from the trial run as well as the discussion about it becoming a public gathering.
And, no, I'm not stirring the pot. I'm being serious. This is the place to do it, or does a new thread need to be made?
Which way to Ithaca?
Blizzard.. pause.. Blizzard.. pause..
🙂
I got my pork roll btw! LOL
Did you?! LOL.
omg. You were the best though at keeping me constantly up to date as to how far away you guys were. It helped me from losing my mind!
Memories, memories.....there are so many for me. Where to begin.
Meeting long-time forum friend, Tortuga for the very first time.
How about Homer shutting off the GPS before we actually got to the hotel, thus bringing us to the wrong one.
The ear-piercing shreiks (my ears were ringing when this happened) when K-dog arrived when most, including myself, believed he wasn't able to come.
I said it last night and I'll say it again: booze runs with Lee = epic win.
Jo finally realizing who I was after about a half hour and then literally leaping toward me, clearing about a 6 foot distance between us and proceeding to lovingly squeeze the life out of me.
Meeting Euphoricy, Raya, Classy and the tool-man himself, ImFAILer all at once upon arrival.
Meeting Lee and having her shake my hand right before I get maul-hugged by Mondy.
Finally meeting the man himself, MTPJeff....and having him not realize who I was until K-dog told him an hour later.
Two words: EPIC mudslides!!!!
Meeting Ray and beginning the inevitable banter about my Steelers in the Super Bowl.
Capnmad's yeti walk thru a snowbank to get some Starbuck's.
Mistress Aura going into hysterics for about an hour because of my deadpan look coupled with her husband's insanity.
Encouraging words from Classy during our numerous smoke breaks outside in the cold.
Two more words for you: Lean Machine.
Spreading the good word of the Steelers by passing out all my jerseys for the ladies to wear (thanks Lee, Mondy, Jo, Classy and Bella).
Seeing the Tzar in the flesh and not being at all impressed. (Just kidding, Myr. Hopefully next time, I'll get to chat with you more).
STEELERS WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!!!!!
I have so many other memories that I'll always cherish for as long as I can remember them from people that I've met to conversations had and such, but it would make this post insanely long to list them all. Bottom line is, it's the best time I think I've ever had and I will most definitely do it again.
Bitch, you shoulda leaned.
Bitch, you shoulda leaned.
Omfg, I almost forgot about Jay and Dave singing Willy Wonka songs at the Olive Garden!
Oh, and I got out of my hog tie in 23 minutes and change. Thank you DSL for keeping me from losing my patience too much. And Aura for making me laugh and breaking my concentration!
omg. Tell me! What had happened?
Me: I'm Team Jo
Jo: No you're not.
Me: Yush, I didn't laugh at you once.
Frigin singing the Candyman can. In unison. Sarah and I gave disapproving and concerned looks.
