In my opinion sins only mean something to whatever group believes them to be, hitler thought he was right and everyone else was wrong and so did his nazi followers but everyone else thought he and the nazis were wrong. "sin" to me is a matter of opinion. on a side note (or main note?) i dont think that theres anyone as bad hitler that isnt a leader of a country or major faction.(in opinion only):sleep1:

Again, I disagree, rather heavily, at that. I find it just as much of a prison to walk around in post-modern nihilism as you find it to believe in a savior.
 
According to the law sins are classified in three major categories; felonies, misdemeanors, and summary offenses. We all have sinned due to the fact that we have this desire to tickle people in very intimate situations.

First of all there is no sin but stupidity. And the flaws that lead to this sin are ignorance, humility, modesty, obedience, indoctrination (and acceptance of indoctrination), poverty (you cant control in which family you are born, therefore many children are forced into obeying rich bastards because they had the misfortune of being condemned to poverty, unable to study and all that due to the lack of money), and generally being a thick-headed asshole. I say there is no sin but stupidity, because human are gods, and gods are allowed to do whatever they want, but gods cant afford stupidity. It's an unforgivable offense and weakness, that must be purged. Well, actually, humans are more like half gods, half beasts, like in the Tarot card "The Devil", and eliminating the beast part is an essential step in the ascension to godhood.
Now onto the Adolf Hitler part. The Führer was not evil or bad, he was only driven and ruthless. Whatever it takes to bring his proud people to glory. And I dont blame him, especially since România was an ally of Germany in the first place. We were allies to the Nazis up to the point where soviet worms infiltrated our army, bribed the royal guards, then continuously blackmailed King Michael I von Hohenzollern, putting pressure on him to make him do their bidding under threats of death or removal from his throne, up to the point where he was forced to execute Marshal Antonescu (one of the most respected symbols of Romanian nationalism and military pride and prowess) and sign the document that declared him resigned from the throne. Notice that he signed that document at gunpoint, and his treacherous guard were bribed and couldn't care less about this. Then followed the abominable red era, a most disgusting plague coming from the north-east of Europe, called USSR and having several satellite states including our nation. I am ashamed to even speak of those times, they are a disgrace to our country. Should Adolf Hitler have been more successful our former King couldn't be pushed around by those worms and definitely our country could've used some purging. And the reason WW2 was wined by US, Allies and the cancer called USSR, was treachery and plotting, some of it done by some treacherous Germans no less. How could those disgraceful worms look themselves in the mirror, knowing they betrayed their honorable Fatherland to those disgusting vodka drinking thugs, released from prisons, being given rifles and sent into war, were they treated civilians worse then dirt? On the other hand Wehrmacht soldiers always treated civilians with respect and Romanian civilians always talk with great respect about them, even in this days, so yeah, the best thing that happened to my country was being an ally to the Nazis and I dont give a shit how much other people suffered from them, as much as our country fared much better in those times then in the commies time. Actually I say, CURSE THE JEWISH SURVIVORS OF THE HOLOCAUST!!! Those worms actually orchestrated communism so they can suck money from the slave labor of Chinese workers, and from the military threat of the slaver Russians, slavers that are actually slaves themselves, because any army that employs a great number of soldiers is a weak army, that tries to hide their weakness behind a crowd of meat, ready to be slaughtered. The Spartans never fought in great numbers, and were almost always successful.
And finally, for the raping part which you call a sin, dont you think this bloody wenches sometimes deserve all that's coming to them plus some more. When they dress in a provocative manner, and act and talk and move in a provocative manner and have "fuck my brains off" written all over them, then I dont blame the men that fuck them at all. In fact should I be a judge and should I judge a trial in which a man is charged with fucking a wench like the one described above, I would refuse to even judge them. I would set the suspect free from the very start. Same thing if I was a cop or a prosecutor tasked with such a case. I would do everything possible to make the suspect come innocent. If those cunts dont wanna be raped they should wear more cloth, show less skin and act as prudish as possible.

I think due to the whole "Separation of church and state" thing, that laws and sins don't really mingle together.

To follow up on your next point, everyone has sinned no matter what they've done. I guess it's up to you to decide if tickling someone is up there with murdering 6 million innocent Jews.
 
Well, I don't believe in sin and am not religious, but you did say people like me could weigh in too. It sounds like making "good" and "bad" black and white concepts, which I don't agree with at all. Let's say you run over someone's child (bad!). It seems intuitively worse if you wanted to do that than if you fell asleep at the wheel. In one you chose to take the life of a fellow human being. In the other, you were just dangerously incompetent. Its stupid v. evil (a question I frequently wonder of politicians), and evil is clearly worse than stupid.

But you seem to be going even further and saying ALL badness is equal. I think this is wrong because it devalues truly heinous things. In your case, you wonder if you're as bad as Hitler. But turn it around: Hitler is only as bad as someone who flicks boogers. It also sets a terrible precedent. How should we discourage murderers and rapists if society only views them as "bad" as everyone else, since we all transgress on something somehow?

To me, if all sins are "equal," its almost making sin not exist. If everything is equally bad, we're all equal no matter what, so no wrongdoing matters or makes me less deserving than any other. Why should I behave if I'm doomed from Day 1?
 
There just must be different levels of sin to me its about intent or lack of intent.

Planned or not so we can plan to go out of our way to do harm for our pure fun.

But in the western world we know people are starving but we don't go out to these places and work for free or give up all we have to help.

So in gods eyes are we comitting a sin because we know what we should do for fellow humans, but don't, far too comfortable in our life thanks.

Now god or what we hear of him and read may well consider that a sin

so i guess there are all levels of sin and evil.

Its human nature dosn't make us devils unless we go to the extreme as hitler did, good and bad in us all.
 
Total death count from WW2 is 60,000,000. Have you done anything close to that? Besides, he felt he was doing the right thing. Those all sins are created equel people scare me anyway. Too hung up on guilt to be healthy.

Not only did he have Jewish people killed, tortured, experimented on and used as slave labour but also Slavic people, Gypsies, the mentally ill and the physically impaired. He was an evil psychopath who mesmerized a whole nation with his rantings and had he not attacked the Soviet Union until he had conquered the rest of Europe, the world as we know it and as bad as it may seem would be a totally different place in which to live, if it indeed existed at all. No Izzy, you are nothing like Adolph Hitler. I do believe in God and I also believe that he reserves a very special location for someone like him.

I feel that there is a balance of good and bad, it's alright to be a little naughty if you are generally a good person and as for being bad as mr.shickelgruber.....don't worry. No one could be as bad as der fuhrer

Stalin was worse than Hitler in the sense that the dude was absolutely insane. However, you people are only thinking about relatively recent history. Look back a bit further, and suddenly 6 million deaths seems quite small.
 
How about political leaders who wouldn,t give a second thought about sending someone else,s children off to war but have no intention of sending their own. Are they not as bad?
 
hmm did Hitler have a conscience..he tested the cyanide capsule on his beloved dog, Blondie first..his wife took the capsule..i believe this type of poisoning is very painful indeed..not sure however..i do know arsenic is..but how did Hitler die? with a bullet..did he have a conscience..i would say no to that..there are some people born without a conscience..and i believe Hitler was one of these.
 
I use to be a very devout Christian. I use to read the bible and pray every single night before I fell asleep. I use to go to church and feel the holy spirit run through every cell in my body and feel completely exhalted in God the father. But that has all changed. All of it. I have gone through a complete metamorphosis and now I am void of any spiritual or religious beliefs whatsoever (I don't even believe in karma anymore). Despite all this, however, I am still very intrigued by theology of any sorts. Think about it this way... sin can be thought of as an act that separates one from God. Makes sense right? The more one sins, the more that individual is engulfed in worldly desires and pleasure and hedonism and all that great stuff. Now, many Christians I have spoken to believe (this is what I use to believe too) that the mentality of the human being is a mechanism that God created to be our compasses. God wouldn't create a conscience so it could steer someone away from him, that wouldn't make any sense. That guilt, that conscience is one of many links to him. Sinning separates you from him, and guilt brings you back. Now, do you believe that lying to a neighbor about a dinner you don't want to go with them to severs that link between you and God just as much as murdering somebody does? To say you're as bad as Hitler is RIDICULOUSLY absurd, and its one of many religious loopholes that got me so pissed off at Christianity that I just couldn't take it anymore. God is aware of good character. And if he's not, then don't worry because lots of other people are.
