Should you wish to read the true story of said battle,we recommend this book,The 900 days By Harrison E. Salisbury.Any mention of Soviet victories in WWII will no doubt be well received.

The Romanovs have largely been rehabilitated in the public eye since the fall of the U.S.S.R.That might spark interesting discussion.They also take great pride in the accomplishments of their space program.You can never go wrong if you mention Pushkin.
