In some ways yes. I think the phoenix is a very good metaphor for overcoming one's difficulties in life. The idea if being reborn from the ashes of one's self is a very powerful image for me.

I think the biggest obstacle is finding someone with whom you can have a romantic relationship who also really understands the whole tickling thing. I've had girlfriends who indulged me, and I've had a lot of fun playing with friends from the TMF who really understood tickling, but so far have yet to meet that one person who fits every which way.
