Well yeah I'm pretty sure he will be considered for both the Olympics and the Ice Hockey World Championship. Now, I personally think he's pretty overrated though (people compare him to Lundqvist, that's just retarded IMO) and aside from Lundy I'd also much rather have Tellqvist in the net rather than Gustavsson (Tellqvist doesn't have the same problem with giving up rebounds, so he doesn't have to rely on good defensemen as much. Plus he is EXTREMELY underrated!). But "The Monster" already played for Team Sweden in the last World Championship, so I think he'll make the roster as backup to King Henrik. 🙂

NO comparison to Lundqvist IMO... not by a long shot! Leafs already had Tellqvist... I used to curse him too, LOL! I'd call him the "Ventriloquist" (sp?"), much like I call Ponikoravsky "Pot of Kraft Dinner" 😀

Yeah, well... Swedish media hype. That's all I'm saying... 🙄

It's funny, because it feels like our media reporters all got their journalist diplomas in a box of cornflakes or something... But it's funny when they try to interview someone who works with hockey and actually knows what they're talking about, because the incompetence of the media is made so painfully obvious then. 😀

For example, one reporter recently interviewed the guy behind the Swedish junior programme, and went: "So we have a really good defenseman over in the NHL; I imagine you will do everything you can to get Victor Hedman released for the WJC?"

The guy just stares at the reporter for a while, before replying: "ONE good defenseman?!? What about Erik Karlsson in Ottawa? He was the highest-scoring defenseman as an underager in last years tournament... That's not good enough for ya?"

I was watching the interview, and all I could say was "Ohh SNAP!" XD The reporter quickly changed the subject. 😛
