Phil Kessel is scheduled to return to the Leafs roster on Tuesday... good timing, now that the team is starting to show some chemistry. We still lack leadership and don't even have a captain 🙁 Brenden Shanahan, a Toronto boy himself, is still available and apparently wants to play.... do you think it would be a wise move for the Leafs to scoop him up at least for the remainder of this season?

I dunno... Shanahan is not only on the wrong side of 35... he's on the wrong side of 40! He's well past his prime, but if you think he can contribute with some leadership, then... I guess it worked out with Chelios for the Redwings, plus Toronto seems kinda fucked anyway, so might as well give the chap a final season on his local team and see if that + Kessel will be enough to turn this around.

Friends with a girl and we've got a bit closer. Rest of group thinks we're together. Getting mildly irritating, more so for her.

Meaning basically, she recommended backing off a bit with hugs etc. Annoying but necessary. Give it a few weeks and things should be back to normal. Ish.
