one - Mmmmm...despite all of the OTHER wonderful ideas, I'mma gonna go with the massage, actually 😀 My muscles are incredibly sore, since school-running has just ended and I'm swimming more now 🙁

two - Fabulous! 😛 We have three kittens right now actually, Annie's (my roomie) mother's cat had kittens, and we've taken 3 of them in our apartment. Not sure how legal that is to have 5 cats in our apartment right now, but no need to tell anyone... :idunno:

Places I've traveled to...hrm. Not THAT much, really. At least outside the US. I was born ~somewhere~ in the West, and I've traveled to Seattle, Portland, and Colorado for vacations. I've also taken a trip to NYC, and gone to RUSSIA! In 5th grade, with my father, once.

If I had the chance, I'd visit France or Russia again 😀 Those are the two places where most of my heritage comes from.

Last picture in the group we took. Did I show you that? XD My hands overfloweth with kittens...

What made me? Hmmm...
I guess it was just a natural inclination. I didn't have a moment where I went "Oh! This is what I WANT!" it just came naturally. I'm a very...auditory-inclined person.

I'm obsessed with music like anyone, but I also like listening (I was "that person" you go to for help in High school) and understanding how people communicate in general. That, and the composition of words, sounds, the history of languages around the world is fascinating. I can't quite explain it, but taking a new word, rolling it around on my tongue and pronouncing it perfectly is strangely satisfying.

Also, living in a big city now as I do (which is utterly horrifying sometimes :wow: ), I like riding the bus and trying to pick out accents and languages that I recognize. There's something fabulous about learning a new way to communicate with someone too 🙂 That barrier-broken moment is so cool. Since I've always been good at it as well, it came naturally (Russian was the best for this, so many more nuances than English in my opinion).

And now I've become one of those horrible people that talks endlessly about their passion XD I will stop my typing now, before you think I'm too much of a psycho 😛

Though, not to sound like too much of a girl, but I loooove Starbucks. Dunno if that counts, though 😛

Thanks for the detailed answer. It is a really cool area of study. I do the same with accents in public places. It's funny, now that I've known Sanna a year and a half, not only can I usually pick out a Swedish dialect, I netflixed a Swedish movie a while back, and while it was subbed in English, I was actually understanding bits and phrases. It's a really cool feeling. Growing up in the household I did with two parents whose native tongue was Cajun French, it's always funny to me how sometimes, I can follow whats being said, and other times I'm just fricking lost. lol

:wub: Thanks kiddo. I agree entirely. My father spoke Russian at home, as he was born there (and a very tough, inspirational man having lived in communist Russia 🙂 ), but it took me years of study to become fluent in it myself.

Well, nice question since I AM on a comfy chair with a nice blanket. I think I'm going to stick with Everything is Illuminated...SUCH a awesome and amazing movie 😛 It's hilarious, the music is fantastic, and I can relate to it in every way possible (look it up if your'e not familiar with it--includes Russia, speaking in Russian, fabulous Slavic music, Judaism, AND silly stuff 😛

Good for you! We all need to recharge the batteries sometimes and school sure knows how to drain them. And I am familiar with the movie, with Elijah Wood. Good choice. 🙂
