You know... just to be sure I'm up to date with the latest groove. 😉

So I checked your profile and discovered you had already posted two pics, in 2005.
As I said, this new comic is even better, albeit black and white only.

Just trying to come up with something else to add to it. Just seemed like a natural progression to that since it's Catwoman. But I agree, it's not for everyone.

What is Bruce Tim style btw?

Bruce Timm is the artist that gave Batman: THe Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, and Justice League their unique visual look. And he draws sum FINE women, to boot!

Ah yeah. He's alright. I don't like the way he draws men though with the gorilla arms and tiny legs, but at least the women look good. I did that with my other batgirl pic, but I didn't with this one.

One reason is because this is a different batgirl than the one from that show(in the comics the 1st batgirl gets shot and is in a wheelchair) and also because I got the feel for drawing the two characters from the comics I have. One is a batgirl comic, which was the only one I really needed to look at for the costume. I free handed catwoman though. She wasn't all that complicated.

So, you got the reference for the faces - and especially the eyes and mouths - from the comic, is that so?

Batgirl yes. But it was only to get a feel for the eyes and her lips, because they're distinct for her. Her lips are usually pouty and she always looks like she wears too much eyeliner. Catwoman was all me though. 😎

actually, it's the same Batgirl, different "universe". In the comics, yes, Barbara Gordon gets shot by the Joker in a sickening display of his insanity. Her legs are no paralized, so she operates as a computer hacker called Oracle. In the cartoon, it's still Barbara Gordon, but with a different fate. In Return of the Joker, after the Joker commited another sick display of his insanity to Tim Drake Robin, Batman swore never endanger another young partner. As far as we know, he simply took away Babs's Batgirl suit, and she eventually became the new Commisioner Gordon when her father retired.

Now, you there isn't much in the way of "other" Batgirls. Before Barbara Gordon came on the scene, the 50s saw the presence of the duo Batwoman and Bat-Girl. And the current Batgirl is this asian girl whose mask covers her ENTIRE face, and she doesn't even TALK, which is no fun at all for us ticklers.

No that's Cassie alright, the current batgirl. I didn't know she was asian though. As far as the mask goes, I got the idea to draw her from one of the few comics where she doesn't have a mask that covers her whole face. It looks like the one I drew. And she does talk, she just doesn't waste words. Kind of like Batman.

huh. i'd heard she'd taken a vow of silence or sumthing like that. i'm also sure i'd read she was asian. I dunno, i haven't read many american comics since high school, i'm mostly a manga guy, lol.

She's part asian, I just found out. Her last name was Cain, so that's what threw me off. As for the silence thing, I don't know. But I do know that she was bred for fighting and trained at a young age, and wasn't taught how to speak. Even now, she's being taught how to read by the previous bat girl. I only know what little I know from other people.

I'm also into anime now, but I like both styles. Hopefully the next one I post here will be a manga-ish one.

i was actually working on a short tickle manga, like, 6 pages, for the guy that used to run Tickle Town. He was gonna pay me and everything. Well, hard to say "working on", i tended to get sidetracked by college and work and computer problems, and was only able to get 1 page 100% done. Then oblsklk or however u spell it announced he was closing Tickle Town. I PM'd him asking if i should finish the comic, and he never responded. i should prolly email him.

That's pretty damn good. I wanted to redo the one I made of those two also, but I'm lazy.

yea, i'm thinking of redoing this pic cuz i dun like how Kara's legs and feet turn out, particularly the placement of her legs. i think i could make her legs and feet MUCH thinner and smaller, which is how Bruce Timm draws them. i wanted to get the pic as close to his style as possible. also, i don't like how the colors came out when scanned.

They don't seem very big to me. I know what you mean with the colors too. That's why I'm working to get good with photoshop. Good luck with it though. Hope to see it soon.
