yeah or nay
As far as whether or not he should go as a moderator, the answer is yes he should.
I have been part of the online community for almost 15 years, 14 with this nickname. From my personal experience having been an ASYSOP (assistant systems operator for a bulletin board system) on a 16 line chat system (back when you had a computer, 16 phone lines and 16 modems at 2400 baud each) I have personally experienced what the other moderators of this board have gone through.
Back in the days of the Xanadu BBS in San Diego we had a Co-Sysop who went bad. She, her husband and their love thing decided to get into a vendetta war with people they didn't like and began to find every excuse in the book to boot people or delete posts. They always walked this very thin line of what was proper and what was improper. They had a lot of friends and the Sysop did not want to simply kick them off without a lot of credible evidence of crossing the line. He didn't want to seem like a bully to anyone, though he would to the groups most fanatical supporters.
The line was crossed when those in question began recruiting people to make up lies to get rid of Asysops who would not support their regime. Unfortunately the one who they tried to get rid of had a LOT of loyal friends and the Sysop soon found out the truth and got enough evidence to boot the lot of them.
This is the same with Kujman. It honestly does not matter how much he has done for the community, how much tickling he has done, who and where he has tickled, or what promises of salvation he offers those who follow his gospel. The fact of the matter is he abused his power as a moderator. On several occasions he deleted posts that were simply out there to post the truth about a situation in which he was incorrect on. But to those who stood up to him they found their posts deleted.
If that is the proper behavior for a moderator then maybe those who support Kujman should make their own system and post whatever messages they feel they should.
