Damsels in distress in TV, movies (and feet)

Untraceable (2008)

Nice sceen featuring Diane Lane, at the climax of the film she is bound hands and feets with plasticuffs and she is cleave gagged with a towel, she is hanged from the ceiling by her feets and spends like this several minutes, almost until the film ends, there is some strugling and some nice close ups of her gag.
Spoilers:
she is an FBI agent captured by a killer that puts his murders online, the more people watching his homepage the fasters his victim will die. After being hanged from her feets the killer turns on a machine (I don't know how is it called in english) that will rip her to shreds, as the visits to the web site increase she slowly descends closer to the machine. she starts to swing until she manages to reach a pole in the basement, and from her she manages to press a button that releases her feets from the cable hanging her up and she falls to the floor, she removes her gag (her hands were bound in front) and in the final minutes of the film she fights with the killer still bound hand and foot. A great scene.

Melrose Place 02x21

Jo Beth is kidnapped by a lovesick admirer and held captive on a boat. Her hands are bound in front, feet tied with thick rope, and gagged with silver duct tape. Some struggling, several closeups.
Eventually she's released and shoots him. There's a scene near the end of the episode where the police lead her away in handcuffs.
The sequence begins about four minutes in (with an ad break preceding in the E! airing I caught). The ep moves on to other threads, then returns around the 14' mark, with the scene ending after a couple of minutes or so

Into the Blue 2 (2009)

Bad guys lose something in the waters off Hawaii and get some innocent people involved in its recovery. At about 55 minutes things turn ugly and Kimi (Mircea Monroe) along with 2 guys gets tied up. Her hands are behind her back but we never see the bindings. Tape is wrapped all the way around her head several times. We do see Kimi's ankles being crossed and then tied with rope. There are more shots of her sitting still while remaining tied up.

Virgin Territory (2007)

Filomena (Rosalind Halstead) and Elissa (Kate Groombridge) are captured by the raiders that want to sell them as slaves in Africa. Filomena has her hands tied in front while Elissa is tied with hands over head. They are both bound with rope and aren't gagged. The leader of the raiders talks with them for about a minute and then cuts their bindings with a knife.

Melrose Place 04x13

There's a much longer scene which sees Kimberly firmly tied hand and foot, spreadeagled (barefoot, too) to a bed with a two part gag (a pad of cloth held in place by a necktie). The guy says he will remove the gag if she promises to keep quiet; she nods and the gag comes off. After some banter Kimmy tries her charm and eventually persuades her captor to release one foot, which he does. She gives him an almighty kick and he knocks himself out on the end of the bed. She screams but nobody comes (she's kept prisoner in an apartment condemned due to earthquake damage) then she manipulates her free foot to pick up the knife with her toes and flick it close to the pillow. Nice sequence! Soon she is cutting away at the bonds. The guy awakens and they scuffle but she manages to overcome him and soon has him tied in her stead.

Meteor: Path To Destruction (2009)

In the midst of an asteroid about to hit the earth, a psych cop blames his partner for ruining his life. First he tracks down his partners daughter, Jenny (Mimi Michaels)and takes her hostage. She is gagged with duct tape and a cloth over that. Her hands are tied behind her back. This happens at the end of the first part. In the second part her dad rescues her but Jenny is again taken hostage by the same deranged cop. This time she is forced to walk with her wrists handcuffed behind her back. She's wearing a tank top and short skirt. Next she is sitting on the ground with her wrist handcuffed to a trailers awning. When she's released from the awning her arms are pulled behind her back and again restrained by the handcuffs. Finally, we see her gagged with duct tape and her arms handcuffed in front. The best scenes are well lit and clearly show her restraints. It's a decent disaster mini-series.

Midnight Movie (2008)

Horror movie that pays off, starting around 1:07. Our hero Bridget (Brandes) finds all of her allegedly-murdered friends are locked, away, all bound and gagged. Both genders are represnted here, and the dudes outnumber the damsels. Maughan is chained and gagged, but it's bloody and distant and brief. Grant is shown chained to a wall, sitting on the floor, cleave gagged. Brief scene, maybe 2 seconds. As we pan around, we see Maughan in a nice close up, cleavegagged and barely conscious. After this, Bridget is knocked unconscious.
When she awakes, she find herself fastened to a table, and cleave gagged. Great chewing and mewing on the gag, and many decent closeups before the gag is removed. She undergoes a little of pain afterwards, and escapes but not before you see briefly the padded wrist cuffs that confine her.
Above average scene. Worth checking out.

Dollhouse 01x12

Alpha has taken Echo (Eliza Dushku) and kidnapped Wendy (Ashley Johnson). She is first seen in the backseat with her hands tied in front with a scarf and gagged with duct tape. A little later we see Wendy being walked into their hideout still bound and gagged. Next Wendy is strapped into a chair. Her arms are secured to the chairs arms and her lower legs are held by another strap. She is still gagged. Wendy is wearing a dress and we see her bare feet. Finally, Wendy is in another chair with her hands behind her back. Her ankles are strapped to the chair. This time no gag is used.

My Name Is Earl 03x14

In this episode, Joy (Jaime Pressly) is held hostage by a pot dealer in Earl's parents' house during a flashback. About halfway through the episode, she remembers the dealer from her school days as a finger-sucking panic-attack sufferer who everyone made fun of. After continually making fun of him, the scene cuts and Joy is seen tied to a chair with white rope, wrists in front, and a piece of grey duct tape loosely (and I mean LOOSELY) applied over her mouth. She fakes not being able to breathe, and when the dealer removes the tape, she starts making fun of him again. He quickly re-gags her.
Later, Earl's dad sneaks back into the house, rushes over to her, and take the tape off her mouth. He asks her how his wife is, and she prattles on about how uncomfortable she is. Earl's dad regags her (still fairly loose, but unfortunately about the tightest the gag gets during the episode). The rope at this point looks very loose.
There is another scene where she can be seen struggling in the background against the ropes and trying to get her gag off while the dealer watches Jeopardy. After Earl's mom walks out stoned (from inhaling the smoke of the dealer while he lit a joint), she manages to catch her gag on her jacket, and proceeds to start mocking him again. Next scene with her, she is untied again.
Excellent gag-talk - nearly every time Pressly is in the scene, she's mmmphing. Shoddy ropework, and the gag is loose as all getout, but Ms. Pressly puts her best act on.

Paranoid (2000)

Jessica Alba stays at a remote english inn where she is drugged and videotaped. After she discovers the tape, her hosts keep her prisoner in a basement bedroom.
For at least half of the movie, her hands are cuffed in front of her and attached to the head of the bed by a short chain. She's barefoot in all of the bondage scenes. There is a prehensile foot scene where she tries to grab a cell phone with her feet.
There's also a brief forced-smoking episode and two scenes where she is unwittingly drugged. No gags or leg restraints.

Madhouse (2004)

Typical somebody is running amok in the asylum. Nurse Hendricks (Dendrie Taylor) is shoved down some stairs. She awakes to find herself strapped down in some type of medical chair. Her wrists are strapped to the chair arms, a strap secures her forehead, and another strap restrains her ankles. Nurse Hendricks comes to a bad end with defibrillator paddles to the head. This happens about an hour in.

Átame! (1990) aka Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down

Spanish film that introduced Antonio Banderas to US audiences had Abril as a B-movie actress the released mental patient played by Banderas admires. He kidnaps her and takes her to a vacationing neighbor's apartment, leaving her tied to the bed and gagged with white medical tape. He is trying to wean her off heroin, and they fall in love, of course, while she makes several attempts to escape, even retying and gagging herself when she hears him come back. When her sister finds her, Abril isn't all that anxious to leave, prompting the sister to say "You've fallen in love with your kidnapper? I suppose you like being tied up?" Abril just shrugs. As a fringe benefit to some of us, there are lingering closeups of the captive's bare feet.
Scenes start at about 34 minutes of 1 hour 35 minute video and continue to 10 minutes from end. Includes going out to try to get medicines and drugs for the pain from her tooth that was broken in the initial struggle, holding hands while handcuffed together ("39 Steps" style). On a bed in white nightdress with hands cuffed in front (sometimes secured with rope to top of bed then down to ankles and foot of the bed, sometimes just handcuffs in front) white tape gag, even left on while sleeping with little other restraint. She complained that removing the tape hurt and he bought medical tape for later use. When he leaves her she is tied on a bed (hers or neighbour's when he expects someone to come looking at her apartment) hands in front and secured with thin ropes to the bed and her feet. Once she hides a lighter and uses this to burn through the rope to free herself but fails to escape from the locked apartment then reties herself before he returns. Handcuffs, rope, tape gag, a handgag when her sister come to water the plants on the balcony (at 1 hour 20 minutes), bare feet - something for almost everyone (never hands behind).

The Grudge 2 (2006)

About twenty minutes in she's shoved back onto her hospital bed after a struggle and secured to it with white fabric restraints around her wrists and ankles, and another white strap over her chest. She feigns resignation to get everyone to leave, only to begin tugging furiously at one of the wrist straps once they do, an effort that ultimately meets with success.

At 0:34 (lasts about 1 minute) Peyton is wearing a white prom dress, she is knocked out by a punch to her face when she answers the front door, thinking the villain is her boyfriend. Next, when her boyfriend knocks on the front door, she has a hand over her mouth from behind standing behind the door, moaning and breathing hard under the handgag. Next, she is being injected with a sedative by a syringe into her upper arm.
At 4:05 (lasts about 2 minutes) Peyton is in the basement with a dark bandana gag tied tight between her lips, her hands are tied behind the chair, she is tied around her waist and the chair, bare feet tied, all with white rope. She is waking up and there are close ups of her gagged face, she is struggling a little, then moaning and biting down on her gag.
At 8:07 (lasts about 4 minutes) Close up of her hands struggling for her little white prom purse. Next, she is being ungagged and starts screaming. Next, she is breathing through gag and struggling to dial her cellphone with her tied hands. There are more close ups of her gag and of her cellphone being taken from her tied hands. Next, she is moaning while her waist ropes are being untied for some dancing with the villain. There is about 1 more minute of her moaning and breathing heavily through her gag with a close up of her gag and biting down on her gag.
At 17:30(25:34) (lasts about 4 minutes) Brooke, wearing a red prom dress comes down the stairs into the basement looking for Peyton. Peyton starts moaning then Brooke is grabbed by the villain and struggling. Next, Brooke has a black cloth gag over her mouth, her hands tied behind the chair, bare feet tied, ungagging herself by shaking her head. Villain says "it's a good thing I brought extra rope". Brooke says "untie me you freak". Next, Peyton is being ungagged by the villain and he says "no one is going to hear you". Both start screaming "help" and struggling.
At 21:35(29:39) (lasts about 5 minutes) Both are talking then Brooke has a blade being held to her throat from behind by the villain. Peyton says "just untie me" so she can cut Brooke's throat and have sex with the villain. Next, Peyton's ropes are being cut, Brooke is being slapped by Peyton. Brooke says "why don't you make it hurt next time bitch", Brooke is then punched in the face by Peyton who then pulls Brooke'e head up by the hair, Brooke does some struggling. Next, Brooke's feet are being untied by Peyton, but the villain chases Peyton before she can untie Brooke's hands. Brooke is struggling hard after they go up the basement stairs.
At 28:38(39:15) Brooke is struggling so hard she is knocking the chair onto its side.

De Taali (2008)

In this Bollywood comedy, Amu (Takia) and her friend Paglu are trying to keep their friend Abhi from marrying a gold-digger Kathrika (Sen).
About an hour into the movie, Amu and Paglu confront Kathrika at the airport where Amu punches and accidentally knocks her out. When Kathrika recovers, Amu and Paglu have got her the back seat of their car where Kathrika threatens to call the police and have them charged with kidnapping. In the heat of the moment, Paglu ties Kathrika's wrists with the car's seat belts and gags her with two band aids.
The next sequence shows Paglu and Amu tying Kathrika to a chair with ropes as she's been tapegagged with a strip of blue tape.
After Abhi laments to his friends as to how something must have happened to Kathrika, Paglu forces her to write a fake note by implementing several "torture" methods while she's still tied up, including tickle her feet with a feather duster, trying to put a bug in blouse and smelling his fridge. Finally he tapes her eyelids open and threatens to make her watch a particularly bad movie which finally breaks her.
A few minutes later as Amu is out comforting Abhi, Paglu is trying to make Kathrika feel better by feeding her dinner (chicken and corn flakes) which he removes her gag and spoon feeds her. Later he ties her to a bed but she complains so he makes her watch TV with her as her wrists and feet are still tied.
The next morning Paglu agrees to go shopping for some items for Kathrika so he again leaves her bound and gagged in his house. His landlord stumbles upon Kathrika who tries to scream through her gag and thrashes about but Paglu and Amu convince their landlord that Kathrika is an enemy agent who attempted to kill them. After their landlord leaves, Paglu decides to get some more items for Kathrika and leaves Amu to watch her. Amu ungags Kathrika and they begin to talk.
When Paglu returns to his apartment, he finds Amu has now been bound and gagged exactly like Kathrika was and is trying to warn him about Kathrika lurking around the corner. Kathrika attacks him only to be knocked by Paglu's landlord. After his landlord departs, Kathrika is shown once more bound and gagged now with a bump on her head.
A few more scenes later, Amu and Paglu are watching a movie with Kathrika still tied up but now longer gagged. Abhi arrives at the door and Kathrika tries to scream but Amu shoves a rag in her mouth and quickly hustles Kathrika into another room. As Paglu tries to distract Abhi, Amu handgags Kathrika until she finally gets another strip of tape to gag her.
Finally after her date with Abhi, Amu realizes that Kathrika is not who she claims to be and storms over to Paglu's place where Kathrika is tied to a bed and she yells at her and then gags Kathrika before she can respond.
All of this action (which is played up for laughs) happens in the second hour of the movie.

Outlaw Trail (2006)

All the action begins in chapter 11, around the 59 minute mark. Kebbel and her male companion are captured by the bad guys. Both are bound hand and foot and cleave gagged. Kebbel is gagged on-screen, and plenty of good gag-talk. They remove each other's gags, and are rescued a few minutes later by friends. Great close-ups, great "mmphs".
In the blooper reel, there is a blooper of her gag falling out when she struggles.

Belle de Jour (1967)

She plays a bored wife who drifts into prostitution, and as a result of her guilt, is shown imagining herself being punished by her husband in her dreams. In the first such episode, at the beginning of the film, she is driven out into the country by her husband, then forced out of the car and marched toward the woods, while her hands are being tied and she's being wrap-gagged with a scarf. Her hands are tied over her head to a branch and the gag is pulled down, along with her blouse in back, and at her husband's behest, two men proceed to horsewhip her. In the second scene, she's shown standing with her wrists tied to a railing-one up, one down, like a statue-in a white dress, while her husband and another man throw mud on her and call her names. In the final scene, her husband and another man, each holding a pistol, stand back to back and start pacing away as if they are dueling, but when they stop, they turn toward the camera and fire. The camera then quickly pans around to show Deneuve standing tied to a tree, blood dripping from a head wound.

Desperate Housewives 05x24

About ten minutes from the end, Dave (Neal McDonough), who's abducted Susan and her son, is shown onscreen tying her hands behind her back with rope around a pole on an embankment overlooking an intersection where he plans to restage the accident in which Susan killed his wife and daughter-and in the process, kill her ex-husband and son while she watches. She sits ungagged at the base of the pole as her unsuspecting ex approaches, gasping, kicking, and struggling all the while. There are a couple of good shots of her bonds as she tries to wriggle free, which she manages to do just before the impact.

P2 (2007)

Rachel Nichols spend most of the time in this thriller handcuffed.
Angela (Nichols) realizes she is trapped in a locked parking lot by a stalker, who happens to be the night shift parking lot security guard. About half a hour in, Angela is chloroform from behind and wakes up with one of her legs chained to a chair.
When her captive decide release her chains and take her for a drive, Angela makes a dash to try to escape, but was taken down from the leg by her captive. Angela lays on the floor as her captive binds her hands behind her back with handcuffs. Her captive then drags her up and take her to the car, with some initial struggling by the actress.
Angela remains cuffed in the passenger's seat as she is taken for a ride. We get a couple of shots of her hands behind her back trying to escape her cuffs, but fails. She manages to open the door and runs off.
As she hides at another part of the parking lot, Angela manages to shift her cuffed hands under her legs and in front of herself.
Angela remains cuffed with her hands in front as she tries to avoid her captive throughout the movie. She manages to knock out her captive and takes the keys to finally unlock her cuffs towards the end of the movie.
Roughly estimated, Rachel Nichols is handcuffed about 50 minutes out of the 98 minutes movie. She was never gagged in the movie.
Nichols wears a white dress after she's chloroformed and she's barefoot throughout the movie after she escapes from the car.

Bloodlines (2007)

At 26:00 minutes, Grace Johnston puts a handgag on Tracy Kay. They are both captured. At 29 minutes, both ladies are standing with their hands tied overhead. Their ankles are bound, but barely ever seen. At 33 minutes, Lesa Mason has a rag shoved in her mouth and her wrists bound behind. The gag is short-lived. At 40 minute mark, Nikki Corrine is tied to a bed. At 58 minutes, Tracy Kay is forced to strip to her underwear, where she is tied to a bed and has a sock stuffed in her mouth. She is released about 10 minutes later.
