I agree that intellectual laziness plays a part… But in my opinion that applies mostly to the “consumer”. After all, since when did business people give a damn about intellectual thoroughness? Or artistic integrity? Or any of that good stuff? lol

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely see the point about art through committee meetings and all that… It’s a shitty thing! But at the same time, if it makes a profit, it will continue…

It’s only when the public wakes up and thinks, “Fuck… What is this shit I’m being duped into buying, anyway?” that things will change.

Ha! I know that quote! Yes!! He's totally right! Trouble is they make remakes of great movies.

Ironically, Caine won the Oscar when he was making Jaws 4 and couldn't go to the ceremony, lol. He says he's never seen Jaws 4, ever.

Now talk about a lame remake...how could anybody play "Alfie" other than Michael Caine (with all due respect to Jude Law)?

I'm so proud not to be part of "the public"! I see every movie ticket bought as a vote, always have. I remember a friend wanted to go see "Charlie's Angels" and I refused on those grounds, no matter fun it might have been....she got real mad! lol.

The Oceans movies are some of my favorites. Hope they don't screw it up like Ghostbusters but I've a strong suspicion they will. I mean, the originals, you couldn't ask for a better ensemble cast.

Ocean's Eleven (George Clooney version) was AMAZING! Then Ocean's Twelve came out and...and...ugh...the PAIN...

While I wanted to like Ocean's Thirteen, I feel I must have missed some important two lines of dialogue as I could never EVER figure out how Clooney and the others were just waltzing into the Casino and somehow bypassing the A.I. run security system (which was supposed to be able to recognize someone doing criminal activity instantly).
