This sounds like the banter we had going before the party last month! Great to finally meet some of the folks I hadn't had the chance to meet before. I'm with QB in that there are multitudes that you meet online, but it's DELIGHTFUL when you get to hang out in person! I suppose that number is growing for me too. YAY! 🙂

The funny thing is....You meet so many folks, yet just like in offline meeting of new people, you will naturally gravitate toward some and not others.It isn't just about tickling, it's about PEOPLE! I've a few folks I've met through this forum who are like family to me. The ones you visit with now because you adore them, not just because they are into tickling. They are the ones that make putting up with the frustration of this little kink all worth while!!

You also get to figure out their tickle-tactics once you meet in person. Like you DVNC! I think I should announce to everyone that you're just a big tale-teller when it comes to bondage. 😛 I got off wiht FAR less than my appointed 14 hours...LMAO!! Reckon I'll be makin' up for that at the next gathering!

Yes, dvnc, the original subject for this thread is to acknowledge and credit the number of online friends we all have. Speaking for you all, on behalf of myself, I too feel blessed to have such a wonderful group here, yourself included, to count as my friends. The number of responses I have received to these my opening appearance posts is a pretty strong testament, indication and reaffirmation that I have a thoughtful set of friends both here online and in R/L. A big thank you goes to those respondents. And you know? I sincerely DID consider the thought that we had deviated <dvnc buzzword> just a bit from main topic. I think JoBelle said quite eloquently why I/we decided to take the leap and depart from this thread's intended topic a bit, a practice I promise won't become a habit to the moderators here😀

With that said, I believe I have just one last piece of unfinished discussion herein to attend.

This is only my second post, so bear with me.

I have many friends online in the TMF, none of whom I've met--yet. I will meet some of these wonderful people when I go to the gathering in Albany.

Fortunately for me, everyone is focused on tickling Jen, QBWeaver, and Mimi, so I have nothing to do that weekend except relax and enjoy meeting new people!

I have been thinking really hard about this one and, without sounding pathetic, I do not think I have any real "friends" online who share my interest for tickling. I "know" alot of people (some closer than others) who share my interest for tickling.

It is hard for me to visualize a friendship online if I do not interact with them more than a few lines at a time.

Do not get me wrong, I do appreciate every bit of trust and understanding of all the people with whom I have interected online. However, it is still an faceless and impersonal relationship. And that is still a little hard for me to accept...

I am sure that over time I will probably get closer to the people I meet here and will be able to call them true friends. I guess it is something to look forward to.

If any of you are proficient in bondage, please help with this endeavor. He may be small in stature, but he is a strong as an OX. He has thrown me across the room, while bound, when I was straddling his chest. LOL
