uuuhhhh......
Is it me, or...maybe because I have a background in video work (actually, my background is a television set, the wall, all that air inbetween - who says we can't be funny!) ... but I'm just...not impressed by Yaqi's videos! This is an artistic critique, not an insult, I'll never meet him, but if I did, I'd tell him "Hey, what's up," I don't care, I'm laid back here. But he says: "I bought some tickling videos produced by other companies and they were so fucking god awful."
I mean, he throws the girl on a bed, tickles her, and that's it. Probably the easiest video a person can do. Anyone here, with a camcorder, can do that or better in their house. It takes about three minutes to plug the camera in and insert a tape and turn it on. Why is he bragging? Jeff's Magic Touch productions are not that sophisticated either, BUT, he has variety (bare, pantyhose - though rarely

) He has on the floor tickling, on the bed, stocks, (which I never was impressed with, but that is besides the point - he uses them, some people like them, so that is a plus on his part) he has that table stock set, and he has done christmas themes and basically has more variety than Yaqi has. Real Tickling is the most sophisticated company on the forum, having plots and sets, and lighting. SilverCherry is another simple company, but they use a sofa, a table stock, and have pretty good lighting. Hell, Francois's videos looked better than Yaqis, with the close-ups of the feet, and just the overall fun aspect of the whole thing. Foot Paradise's videos to Yaqi's would be like comparing Citizen Kane to a B-movie. (Even though many here don't like them, they have done some impressive stuff.)
His website is kind of plain looking too. I mean, yeah, he's on Stern, that's great. He's tickled famous women, good for him. But he's still got a long way to go before he can brag. All his models wear almost the same thing, there's no variety in costume, NO PANTYHOSE tickling -the fool laughs at us!
Look at Playboy.com. (There's no tickling there, but look at the webpage, the videos, the time and effort put into them, the clarity of the image.)
Look at Danni's Harddrive. The extras, the "Joke of the day," the huge variety of models.
I just finished a directing class at a local open channel. The guy made an important point. He said, basically, when people are flipping through the channels, they want something that's interesting and catches the eye. It doesn't matter how good your message is, it doesn't matter how deep and awe inspiring your information is, because if you are just sitting in a chair in a poorly lit studio, no one will stop and listen, they will keep on channel surfing past you. If your set looks nice, it is well lit, the camera angle is a good one, the camera's all have good exposures, and the edits are moving at an adequate pace, then people will stop and watch. Only THEN, will your content matter. And even then, sometimes it doesn't if the technical aspects are good enough, but that's another story.
I just placed a video on Kazaa called Foot_fetish.mpg. Take a look at it. Superior. Professional lighting, video, the camera is on a dolly, (it moves a lot for the video, a little too much for a tickling one, but it does flow.) That is a future of tickling, the professional touch.
Once someone asked for a few pointers on creating a video in a hotel room, and humbly spoke that he only had a miniDV camera and just a hotel room. (Humble, an emotion I didn't see in yaqi's interview, sadly.) I said, you can make a horrible video in a hotel room, and a masterpiece in the same room. Depends o how much work you put into it, what the camera angle are, and if we can even see anything.
So, in my humble opinion, I am unimpressed with Yaqi's webpage and videos. They are probably the least sophisticated out of any company out there. (Even FM Concepts easily has them beat.) That's not to say they could get better in the future, but as it stands right now, all the companies that visit his board have him beat. He's still got a long way to go.
