Is Governess Palin Ready To Lead?

ah KY that is not true...you know as well as i do that Fox aka Faux News has always been conservative..uber conservative in fact..and i never noticed MSNBC being liberal related...

i will say this..the wee bit of the interview i did manage to sit and watch, and i was trapped in a way as i was in the hottub and david had the changer or remote..grrr she made absolutely no sense to me.and i listened for once..if that is how she will be at the debate tonight no thanks..i won't watch..she made me nervous listening to her trying to say something without stuttering..

however someone made a good point this morning..remember the VP debate between the democratic and Dan Quail..i can't remember the democrat VP running mate but it was when George Bush Sr was running for President. and that guy said to Quail..."I knew Jack Kennedy..Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine, you are no Jack Kennedy" i thought they both ended up looking extremely foolish...and Quail couldn't spell potato or some such nonsense..no one really cares if the VP can speak or not..

the important thing here..the main issue to me is this. which VP do you want running the country if the President dies?

The total population of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area is 2,462,571 (maybe I should have been clearer). Im not going to address the issue of Alaska's land mass because it has no bearing on the magnitude of gubernatorial duties. Here is the link to Pittsburgh's size:

Alas, I don't think you could... Palin was definitely at her worst but you'd have to do editing at the syllable level to convert her remarks into something sensical. I'd rather see an uncut, unedited interview too, but Palin sank her own battleship in that sit-down.

Although, once again, the deck is stacked because the moderator is writing a biography of Obama that will be released on (wow, what a shock) INAUGURATION DAY!

It's actually not a biography of Obama; it's a book about recent political trends that includes Obama's name in the title (doubtless to capitalize on his name and sell copies). I agree the media is biased but I'd say it's biased not in favor of any particular party but in favor of the almighty buck.
 
All you needed to do last night is watch and see how Biden was allowed to rebut Palin at a ratio of 3:1. And how more often Biden was allowed to have the last word on subjects.

Anyone who watches PBS, NBCBS, ABCBS, CBS, and CNNBS and not see the blatant bias is watching through a liberal filter and not an objective one.

The main reason FOX is conservative is because they report the stuff that the BS networks censor out. True journalism is dead. They checked in their cards long ago and have become, basically, the DNC's press corps.

I like Sarah Palin - she sure let Biden have it in the debate - but what I would like to see is a Palin-Obama debate and a McCain-Biden debate. Of course, the left-wing will never allow that since both their guys would lose.
 
She has more expirience than Obama(nation), her security clearance is higher than his, shoot What has obama done , Really and as for HER beliving humans and dinosours living at the same time , it is very plausable. but you liberales would rather belive that we came from APES or was seeded by aliens...ANYWAYSshe is not from Washington. a fresh person who was not currupted by all the B.S. OH yea JOE Biden thinks PRES. Rosevelt was on TV in 1928........see anything weird about that.......damn LIBERALS

It's my experience that anyone who's convinced that the ginormous corporate TV news goliaths are in the tank for either major political party has been sipping the kool-aid of the blogosphere and/or talk radio demagogues of their choice.

True, Fox News filters reality through its right-wing blinders, and now MSNBC, in pursuit of profits and audience share, is doing the same thing with a left-wing blinder. All the others have myriad flaws but consistent partisanship isn't among them.

And am I the only one who thinks Palin really didn't perform well in the debate? Why can't she talk like a normal human being instead of stringing together random road-tested handler-approved buzzwords and non sequiturs? Why can't she just answer questions like a thoughtful person instead of obfuscating and treading water like an underprepared undergraduate at an oral exam?

I would ask these same questions. First of all, as I pointed out in a different but similar thread, it seems like a lot of conservatives preface most of their statements or posts with some kind of attack; attack on Obama, attack on the media, et cetera. MSNBC and Fox are places I don't choose to get my news from; I prefer CNN and BBC. Of course, you can claim that those are biased too, but then where do you get your news from? Undoubtedly even-more-biased (in whichever direction) blogs? Or just remain unaware of the day's news? I don't know.

And as for the debate, you may think that not making a fool of oneself equates with doing well (for her, it may be) but consider if you were asked the same questions as she was and gave the same responses that she did. Don't you think most people would accuse you of evading the question? I would sure think so. You'll notice that in the Katie Couric interviews, the most asinine statements are given usually when Couric asks a follow-up; i.e. she asks Palin to deviate from her talking points. John McCain's camp pressed hard for a debate format that would favor Palin and restrict response times and so forth. The rule for the kind of debate they had is that your response could be UP TO 90 seconds, but did not HAVE TO BE 90 seconds, so if it seems that Biden was getting more talk time than Palin, it's because he chose to exercise it.

The format also forbade Gwen Ifill from asking follow-ups.

Meh. Sometimes I just don't feel like putting out the effort to string together a coherent rebuttal/point when the tendency of most people is to pick out one sentence they agree/disagree with and ignore all the rest of it.
