Is Tickle Porn industry dying?

I think it's both the piracy and the pandemic
You know with the staying at home part and all that aswell as piracy personally I think that if there was ever a new studio producing tickling content/porn anyone that would post it on pornhub or thumbzilla or any other porn website for people to see for free would get like a virus or something or immediately taken down in like 2 seconds

I wish I had loads of money. I'd pay like $20,000 to get some shy girl ideally muslim or something to be tickled for a big payout

It's mainly just covid. You still got the Russian tickling studio, the tickle room, and a few other studios are around. You just gotta look for them.

Trust me, if you look hard enough, there's enough content and companies out there that you will always find something that you like.

If I wear scuba gear will I be safe? 😀

First off... it's porn.

As for me, my interest in the content nowadays is definitely diminishing. And it has nothing to do with the quality; it's just about where I am in my life now. Work is busy, and family life busier.

My single life saw me indulge in everything I could back then; I had absolutely squat when it came to tickling content: I downloaded every 15-20 sec preview clip, every picture and cartoon. I remember buying my 1st tickling video, on VHS. Then DVDs.
And now I have 100s, probably a 1000+ full videos. I bought and downloaded as many as I could; now I'm actually trying to delete those I don't like, and it's hard.
I also have the good problem of being unable to decide of which video to fire up when I wanna masturbate.

There's some great stuff out now and some fantastic models out there. I may buy some later, but for now, I'm set.

Interesting thread, many thoughtful perspectives.

I think for a hint into the way the fetish industry is going, look no further than the likes of Only Fans. I suspect models will begin to move away from traditional studios, especially with the Pandemic making shooting harder, and migrate to a platform that gives them more control over their content, hours, pay, etc.

In some cases, I am reliably told that models actually make more money through these sites than through studio work. This probably applies to more traditional adult content and themes at the moment, but don't be surprised if you start seeing tickle and fetish models starting to shun studios and move to these platforms.

When you start seeing them posting on Instagram on a regular basis, an only fans or patreon page soon follows... I don't blame them one bit for doing it. Even if I will be sad to see studios start to struggle as a result.

This is true, and not true at the same time.

Here is why.

There is a model that has been a long time web cam girl, and a fairly successful one at it also, bringing in an income of 6 figures a year.

When OF started she used it, and saw some success, there, but not a wow amazeballs one that matched her web cam income. The platform is simply saturated with performers, and there is no easy way to discover any of them unless the user makes an effort to look for them. So returns are minimal, and not income replacements.

Now moving forward with my model friend, she started to get some main line porn work, from Braizzers and other name companies. It raised her profile significantly. And her OF started to pick up subscribers. I think she has 45,000 of them currently, at $10 a month.

She gets 80% of that after OF fees. So that is $360K A MONTH. But it is 100% based on her having the mainline porn work to feed people into her OF who like and look for her and subscribe. It's so lucrative, and takes so much less time then web camming she has retired as a cam girl, as why spend 3 to 4 hours a night hustling 6 days a week when you can post some images, clips and be done with your OF update in a half hour. More if you want to give extra value.

But she is an exception. Most OF models struggle to manage 100 subs when they have no feeder method. Now $800 a month is not bad, but it's not gonna pay the bills in most parts of the country, so they need to take on other work. Which means a vanilla job, or molding for producers.

OF is a winner take all platform. If you can get the eyes, you get the dollars. But how do you do that if you are just another girl, who is indeed very attractive, but so are the other 50 thousand on the platform.

This is an evolution of the porn industry, that indeed places more control into the models hands, and more income should she get eyes. But it's a parallel path to the rest of the industry.

Myriads

Frankly, OF has ushered in an era where it's probably more "acceptable" than ever for a GND to do some weird tickle video and have it not be that big a deal. It's that something about the ticklefucker community has this bizarre compulsion to take the videos and fling them on every single mainstream platform they can for god knows what reason, increasing the odds of them being humiliated exponentially.

At least until these GNDs realize that all of the leeches clamoring for this content are complete cheapskates and won't buy the content they're begging for. I submit to you the following, that popped up in my LoyalFans newsfeed from a model in my network a while back. I thought it was so on-point/hilarious that I screencapped it. Y'all have no one to blame but yourselves for the "dearth" of content and the endless recycling of the same "twelve porn stars" that everyone cries about.

...but I suppose it's easier to trick random vloggers into tickling each other under the guise of a "challenge" than support the people who actually want to support this community.

Nah, it's just evolving. There's still plenty of quality studios out there. I do think 2D and especially 3D content will become more prevalent in the years to come.

Sounds about right.

I've seen many videos related to this. It's not dying in my opinion, but it's definitely starting to fade away. Many sites with xnxx have started to stop putting up new videos related to tickling because the demand is too low on this. Hopefully, things are going to get better regarding this domain, because I am sure that there are many people like me who have this fetish. After all, I am sure that there are plenty of sites left that can offer this as well but we haven't found them so if someone wants to share, I would be really grateful!

I often watch this genre of porn myself. And sometimes I notice that this kind is dying out, but I've seen a lot of videos related to this genre.

Eh. I think it depends on scale. The few producers I know of who weathered the PornHub purge and were able to get verified aren't doing too bad at getting views on their content, and are seeing increased sales and store traffic as a result. I know from personal experience that the pandemic isn't really a factor anymore; I haven't had problems shooting with anyone for the last six months at least.

Piracy may still be a problem (it will always be) but expectations definitely have to be adjusted.

All of that said, also from personal experience, very little of my business - that I'm aware of - comes from the TMF. It strikes me as weird that this is the largest website catering to this kink in existence and yet many, many of the members are extremely vocal about how they don't buy content, all the content sucks, and any producer that dares post here regularly gets their head bitten off, but it is what it is. Social media is where it's at, not here. So I can definitely see why you might cruise the Tickling Clips forum and not see anything from the big names (some of whom admitted that they never post here anymore, wonder why) and assume that the industry is "dying".

Shoot with the way banks and credit cards are running the show now I'd say the adult entertainment industry as a whole is dying. Mastercard alone is literally changing everything after the Pornhub fiasco(Videos of minors, rape, and revenge porn were found on there hence why the great Pornhub purge happened after they canned all unverified accounts.) and Visa hasn't even said what they are going to do.

I'm torn on this. On one hand, it sets a bad precedent when a single company (or handful of companies) can bring an entire industry in line with a wave of its hand.

On the other hand, let's face it; PornHub had a lot of shit on there that did not fucking belong, and it wasn't going to change until it got kicked in the wallet. Requiring consent forms and the proper verification for posting content on porn sites is a good thing.

If your (generic you, not you, porcelaindoll) primary concern about the tightened restrictions over adult content distribution is that you won't get to see illegally filmed/distributed/pirated material you can fuck right off.

A lot of it is that everyone is producing the same thing. No one comes up with a good story anymore. I wish I knew where to submit my scripts for this kind of video.

Sorry if I am repeating what someone said but I didn't read all 5 pages...

IMO for me it is the quality of the models, look back years ago at how hot the FM concept models were, TIB, earlier Czech, earlier UK tickling...there was some serious talent there. Look how good tickle abuse used to be...again IMO it has just really fallen off. Now that might be because there is onlyfans now, and less money from more piracy but whatever the cause it just seems we got the B squad in now. Producers find some really hot girls and sales will go up I'm betting.

Barring some exceptions, the Top 10 on Clips4Sale's tickling category is almost entirely the exact same Top 10 it was a decade ago.

Without trashing any of the winners, I could list probably a different 10 that are easily better than who landed on here. But nobody seems to be buying them enough to displace the winners.

This is kinda ridiculous to assert. Sole Mates, for one, has been doing a series lately with this absolutely smokin' Instagram model (Ariana) and she's beyond fantastic. Mari, Jennifer, Marcy, even the classics like Lolly, Priti, and Kim were also great. If "talent" means "attractive and really ticklish" then there's a lot to love there. But of course since all of the studios you're name-dropping are the same handful of studios everyone else seems to be obsessed with, I doubt you'd know that. Seriously though, check out @solematesfootography on Instagram or go right to sole-mates.us for the store.

That sounds awfully familiar. Almost like I've been saying it for years.

Don't know how you can say it's ridiculous then say its the same sites "everyone" is obsessed with, there is a reason why everyone is obsessed with them. It's called supply and demand those sites were awesome, beautiful girls doing good tickling (FM concepts not so much) I bought a ton of clips from them and others like them, now I hardly buy any ever because I just don't like the clips as much. Solemates is ok got some pretty girls but its no realtickling from back in the day. I think its social media all those girls back then are now instagram models and make money without having to do fetish work. What sites now are producing all those gang tickling clips like tickle abuse did? there is some out there but not near the quality. Even companies that used to produce high quality with beautiful girls have slacked off, i.e. UK Tickling I have like 50 clips of the older stuff (all Rachel so hot!) but the new girls just not doing it, really same tickling but the JV definatly showed up (like the FM though!). You can have whatever reason you like for buying a clip, but one of mine is the attractiveness of the girl...and I haven't bought a lot of clips lately is all I'm saying.

Yeah, there is, but it's not the reason you think. A lot of those sites were basically "it" back in the day (IE, they were all we had) and for some reason people really, really don't want to try anything new. There are thousands of stores on Clips4Sale and yet everyone endlessly complains that Tickle Abuse sucks and isn't any good anymore and when you suggest they go see what else is out there they suddenly fall silent. Then a month later someone else starts a new thread about how all studios suck and of course when you probe a bit voila, it's the same people and they're complaining about Tickle Abuse.

My other theory (...other than the one about the brontosaurus, which is my theory and was made by me, ahem) is that since TA was basically the most-pirated studio on PornHub and no one bothers to pay for content anymore, the reason everyone complains about/only knows about TA and its ilk is because they were getting all of their content for free.

Anyhoo I can't argue with your preferences, so if you don't think today's models are as attractive as the ones from days past I'm not going to tell you you're wrong. IMHO a lot of the girls I've been seeing lately are right up my alley. Simply Tickling had a few a year or two back that I fell in love with instantly, but they were one-and-dones so they never came back. Oh well.

As someone who's been in the 'tickle porn industry' for over a decade now, I don't get any real sense of it dying. My sales are healthier right now than they have probably ever been. I'm constantly inundated with requests (even though I'm terrible at getting back to people) and I haven't noticed any real slow down in terms of demand for content. Piracy and the associated fraud has definitely made things worse as it impacts sales and drives models away, but all things considered, things are actually pretty healthy from my own perspective. If anything, I just really struggle to find the time to keep on top of the workload by myself.

I think that people tend to assume there is a problem when one or two notable studios decide to pack it up, sell their business (as has clearly happened in a couple of cases) and/or just move on to other things. That will always happen. As Phineas pointed out, this forum is not really a great indicator of how the industry works, since it doesn't actually generate a great deal of traffic for producers, and the opinions often expressed aren't necessarily representative of the wider clip-buying market. Many producers just don't post here as much but they are still producing and selling content.

All of that said, things are certainly getting harder. Good models are getting more expensive because they can now stay at home and sell clips that they spent five minutes shooting on their phones, rather than travelling to a shoot. Likewise, customers are expecting cheaper content since there are models willing to sell said clips for as little as $20. That said, it is just a case of focusing energy on where your actual market is, and on those models that actually enjoy getting out of the house, meeting people and doing something fun for work.

The other main difficulty is in the increasing restrictions. Since porn is becoming a convenient scape-goat and general punch bag for campaigners against sexual violence (including many who are simply ideologically opposed to the existence of porn and sexual entertainment), the pressure is piling up on the adult industry. Regulations which seem like they are designed to protect people, are often just a way for financial companies to satisfy their stakeholders and maintain their media image. The result is that many harmless fetish categories and activities are now being banned or restricted. A couple of years ago, the UK government experienced a similar push from Christian conservative elements to the right of the party, and they started rolling out plans for very strict restrictions on internet porn. Moves were made to ban the production of videos featuring BDSM with sex, ballgags, face-sitting and peeing amongst other things. There were plans to force adult sites to introduce new draconian restrictions that were hard to implement and to make ISPs block adult content by default. There was even talk of having to buy a 'porn pass' over the counter from your local corner shop. All of these plans were introduced in the name of protecting children from exposure to indecent content.

In the current era of progressive politics, those same ideas are currently being pushed in the name of protecting women from sexual violence. The baseless idea that porn leads people to commit rape, is fueling a movement towards tighter restrictions on adult sites, banning of various sexual/fetish activities - even when it is made explicitly clear that they are simply role-play. Words are being banned, regardless of context - hence 'Tickle Abuse' can no longer be called that and so it is simply 'Tickle ' on clips4sale. 'Tickle torture' is not acceptable since torture is bad. 'Damsel in distress' scenarios are not ok because people might not understand the obvious difference between fantasy and reality - or more accurately, certain fantasies are no longer deemed acceptable. If anything, this presents the biggest threat to the whole adult industry and by association to tickle porn. If we reach a point where sites such as C4S are forced to remove the tickling category altogether because tickling itself is viewed as something associated with sexual assault cases....then the whole thing will collapse. It's happened to other harmless fetishes and I've sites and producers that have had no choice but to shut up shop.

Thanks for the great insight from some top producers! This will be my last 2 cents on the topic and it's really going to be what I like and miss from the "old stuff" and what I like from them and what I'm missing from a lot of todays content.

First I will just say that I only like F/M and F/F, M/F does nothing for me (but I definatly realize everyone likes different aspects here). That's why I think one of the main features for me is the attractiveness of the females. I like to imagine them tickling me and seeing their faces and reactions while they are doing the tickling. That being said I would think a lot of females that might like the same thing are getting "gipped" as a lot of M/F they don't show the guy or he is this old and out of shape guy, more attention should probably be paid to the males involved also as I imagine the females are under represented here. All that to say this is a sexual thing for most people the hotter the people involved the more appealing it will be (though of course people are attracted to different things).

One thing I really liked about the older stuff from like real tickling and Czech tickling was they had a lot of content with a lot of different girls and a ton of different bondage devices and sometimes storylines. I loved sara in realtickling because she always tried to act out the part lol but they also offered just a ton of different devices and bondage just keeping it fresh and different from clip to clip. I loved all the gang tickling of tickle abuse not just because of the tickling but the girls were really good at and seemed really into it and they had that great bondage table. Look at all the different bondage devices they had in Czech tickling week to week it was always something different. Some studios are still doing this and I thank them for it, like tickle intensive they did the whole Biden vs Trump kinda thing and I loved all those clips.

I guess I feel like more of an effort was made by those old clips, that may be fair or unfair but it's how I feel. I think we have seen so much of 2 girls one tied to the bed for 5 to 7 minutes then they switch and tickle the other one. How many times do you think I am going to buy that same clip just insert different girl? I have over 100 of them lol unless I see something I really like not buying a new one. Guess I will save up for custom stuff and get what I like from here on out, this was meant to give advice not to put anyone down.

Unfortunately, it makes zero financial sense to hire a male tickler - the number of women who buy clips at all is non-existent, and the very few who do aren't going to buy in the volume that's necessary to offset the cost. Any studio that has enough money to waste on hiring a dude is better off investing that money in a second woman and (theoretically) capturing more of the F/F audience. And very often because of that we don't show the guy because a lot of people are very very very vocal about not showing the guy at all on camera, so producers are often doing their best to compromise.

That's not even getting into the complications involved in dealing with a second, unknown male on set, of which there are many. Otherwise I agree with you!
