There are some, yes (page 12, 21-24; about the sad fates of Sandra and Brenda, page 32; where Jen finds out a lot more people are 'stored', page 42; where you see Fw-EEK-Hee crying and then page 47 where the merman regrets that the love of his life didn't return.

Yet I have to warn you that the saddest part is still coming. This is all building up to something (which will explain both Fw-EEK-Hee's sadness, AND ther merman's, AND Jen's not returning).

The last question; "but what about Kelsey? was it the end for the doll part?", that's a double question. Kelsey is still out there and before the chapter ends you'll see her again. Her part in this is not over yet. But the DOLL version (i.e. Kelley) you won't see again. Neither will you see Brenney, Sanney and Jenney, they have gone limp again when the curse was lifted.

I'm so glad Jen was finally able to communicate them. Man it was really hard for her, and it would've been harder if it wasn't for the merman. Can't wait to see what may come of it for that event.

Definitely. So far everything looks like it is going as planned... but let's see if it was enough to prevent the apocalypse, shall we?

The ringtone you 'hear' in this comic is an old hit by the Kelly Family ("Fell in Love with an Alien"). Aside from the quite obvious reason why this is a perfect one for Emmi's cellphone (she's an Alien after all), somewhere down the song there's also a text "... and then we did grow a big family", which is especially fitting with Emmi as one of her aspirations is to get many babies, grow a big family.

Almost at page 50 now! (which I expect later this weekend). At this point there is only 11 pages more to this story!

aw, after all, those squids are a nice specie! first when I saw Emmi I thought that Jen must have been under the sea for an awfully long time, but then I recalled that twins had grown really fast.. tough luck Jen, you will remain a fish for some time longer.. unless Emma will find some really creative way to release you :evilthoughts:

Ah, nothing new about it. MP3 ringtones and custom themes are nothing special today. But I didn't want to promote any phone company so didn't want them to have e.g. an iphone or nokia or google, etc. Wanted to keep it neutral.

Yes, the twins grew really really fast. Despite of that Jen has now spent quite some time under the water, several weeks or months. It doesn't go quick to learn a language, especially one that's very alien and different to you, and on top of that if you can't concentrate because of the tickling effect. But Emmi says it also on the next page, that she has to stay a fish a bit longer. Well guessed.

Jen is surprised it snows too. In the summer! Luckily they have some alien technology on their hands up there on the roof. 😛 They did have to simulate what happened during the apocalypse!

But yes, Jen is trying to simulate the real Apocalypse as much as possible, yet she is changing the past. And this is a dangerous thing. Things ARE not the same they were, because there are several variables which are not the same anymore.

PAGE 50, 51 AND 52!

If you wondered what the whole haunted house had to do with all this and why I wrapped it together with the Counter-Apocalypse into one chapter... you are about to find out NOW. Because these things are not unrelated to each other, things are intertwined more than you probably expected. Jen set things in motion by her coming back that even she could not foresee...

and now I'm giving the story a nice cool boost, publishing three pages at once (although page 50 you could have seen already on DA). The latter two pages feature a lot of frames that you have seen before (in chapter 11) but also some new stuff, because this story is from a slightly different point of view and this time there's some personages staging the Apocalypse.

Just got caught up with the story after a few weeks layoff; I missed Jen's decent into the briny, but am back up to speed now! I like the element of the squid people's touch-based language (something I gather you've explored in earlier series, but which was a brand-new idea to me)… both a most creative conceit all on its own and one which allows for plenty of credible tickle opportunity! Jen's assimilation of it, through the amorous offices of her ultimately disappointed mer-paramour, is nicely laid out, neither fatiguingly exhaustive nor so simplistic as to strain believability. Meanwhile, Kelsey's noxious return triggers a scintillating donnybrook, culminating in that wild egg-grenade toss (unhappily obscured by a final panel advertisement… hope we'll get to see a pristine version at some point). Will eagerly await the concluding pages of this saga… to see who emerges from the bomb crater with the least amount of yokey shrapnel damage!

(yeah, I'm little in the back with reading this chapter) hope he will be alright, during this chapter I started to really like him as a character, mainly due to his deep love for Jen, which I thought at the beginning was just lust considering in what circumstances the twins were made.. and this catfight looks really brutal.. go Jen!!

Thanks for your comment, LBH! Nice to hear you had some time to catch up again. There's not that much following this anymore, only five pages. The 'squid people' were part of the chapter of the "Apocalypse" and the game based on it. In that chapter there was not much explanation of why they were tickling Jen and others. If I remember well only the 'special image' with Jen in the museum (not part of the comic itself) explained this. Nice to hear you liked the 'little love scene'. Jen wasn't cheating by the way. Fw-EEK-Hee is not her husband, she sees him as just a friend. Just to make sure you didn't get the wrong idea. 😉 This will also be cleared up again by the way on one of the upcoming pages. Page 59 to be exact. Which I finished drawing today. It was... the most difficult page of the whole chapter to draw. Not artistically, but emotionally. You'll see why. I put a lot of feeling into that one. Some wrapping up ahead. And an ending you may not have expected. But isn't that quite often so with me? 😉

It started with lust. When he met Jen for the first time at that party (and he thought she was a space bunny person too) his hormones took the better of him and he kidnapped her. But he got to know her better and developed a real love for her. Deep love as you described it. He cares about her a lot and you will soon find out what he did to try prevent her from having to go through this extreme ticklish challenge. He failed at it (because she had to go through it) but that aside... yes, he would give the world for her. Thanks also for your comments on the catfight. I wanted to make it an eye-catching scene and think I probably succeeded quite well. ^^
