I'm assuming Jeff knows something we don't, and has seen the exact vlog that meangry is speaking about (which some of us haven't seen). Otherwise this particular post of his would not only be pointlessly defamatory but really pathetic to pull something like that out of his ass just to have everyone in the post turn on Meangry.

My original assumption was that Meangry was speaking of a random no-name girl from an undisclosed vlogging site like livejournal or myspace or something. I'll just have to take Jeff's word for it and assume that he has proof that it is someone from the forums, in which case I would have to take back whatever good things I said so far. A directed rant, even if none of us know who it is towards, is terribly hurtful if placed in a position the person could see. And it's better not to run off members of the TMF like that.

Well. I'm not ashamed of the Vlog I posted, or any Vlog I've ever posted for that matter. So. Here, this is the vlog that meangry is talking about. It's mine.

I don't care what meangry says... he doesn't know me at all. He has had one conversation with me in TMF humor where we got into a fight about politics. It was dumb, he made a lot of personal attacks [much like he is doing now, surprise surpise] and was deleted by a mod. Since then I have left him alone, and apparently he has nothing better to do with his life than to call me out.

I agree the topic is something to debate, but calling out my Vlog was just rude and immature.

People turn to the internet for all kinds of comfort. Comfort for their low self-esteem, low self-image, freakish fetish, or sexual tendencies.

When a person behaves in a way only to feed the insatiable void they have inside for attention, love, acceptance and says things that if overheard in real life would be appalling, patting them on the back and coddling them is doing more harm than good.

But that is going to happen everywhere, in every walk of life. Facebook alone shows me what happens to people after high school, after college, when they are coddled to such an extent. Can these people tell you the name of the vice president? No, they can't. Can these people tell you anything of interest? Well that depends what you find interesting, though I would say for most people, no.

It's disturbing for me to have felt a part of this age bracket for years. I keep waiting for that maturation process to begin and it hasn't. Ten to twenty years may make a difference, but if it takes that long for a person to come back to Earth, that's really unfortunate.

From the most part I got from your post this: "People in this generation don't care enough about the world around them". If that was the point of your post, then I do agree. That complacency is due mostly to fact that we have so many distractions these days. Before home PCs that were worth a crap (read: 1995 and below) people had a lot more free time to pay attention to the news, politics, stuff like that. These days, all our free time now spent doing what previous generations did (hanging out, drinking, whatever) is spent doing something they didn't: playing with our technological toys. Suddenly that gap and that boredom they experienced is gone, and the extra time devoted to learning about the world around them has been devoted to video games and the like.

The point I'm trying to make: blame youtube. 😛

In reply to your vlog- I lost my father last year. I broke up with my girlfriend because she reacted similarly to you. I truly hope that you never have to experience what it is like to not only lose a parent, but to have someone else show that sort of lack of compassion to you. Because it would truly break your heart if you ever looked back on this post to see what you did. Cause this is by far one of the most cold hearted and cruel things I've seen in a while.

Luckily, ya'll weren't actually dating so it probably didn't affect him as much as if ya'll had been.

This is an attack on the girl who posted the vlog whose name has been conspicuously omitted from all of his posts in his thread because if included it would be very obvious that this is just another in a line of thinly veiled attacks.

Is it just me or did another TMF member employ this same tactic some time ago? I believe he eventually got banned from the TMF...

This is a tactic employed by many a TMF member who want to say their piece but not take responsibility for it. "I was talking about a group - I never said any names - It's the principle, not the person."

Haha. I had the same thought earlier. I sometimes feel like he is He Who Shall Not Be Named. There is a feeling of deja vu though for sure.
