m/m tickling - guys, is it gay?

Ah, whatever floats your boat. I'm a real open-minded type and don't believe that it absolutely, positively has to be gay. Having said that, I'm not into m/m. But if you happen to be, I'm not ever going to judge.

I guess it is sort of hypocritical for guys to have this attitude, but I'm really not sure what to do about that...

What could you do about it? If guy is turned on by a girl he doesn't want to see m/m anything.

Yeah, it seems that guys who are not into m/m tickling are coming across as ogres from the Dark Ages or something like that in this thread, so I'm glad some folks are starting to clarify their views. I guess that for guys for whom tickling has no sexual connotation, playful m/m tickling can be passed off as harmless horseplay. For those who have the fetish, I'd have to say it's something more. At risk of sounding defensive, I swear I really have no problem with homosexuality at all. I'm exposed to it a lot. A good friend of mine is a DJ in a gay bar, and my friends and I (male, female, gay, straight) go there to hang out and I get hit on by dudes and all that. It doesn't bother me, but it doesn't make me want to experiment either. If one of my (straight) buddies happened to playfully tickle me, of course I wouldn't take it as a sexual come-on and freak out and begin compulsively vomiting, etc., but I'd probably would not retaliate in a similar manner because, unbeknownst to him, it means something else entirely to me. If that makes me ignorant/insecure/whatever, then I'll just have to live with that, because I'm not planning to prove that I'm secure in my manhood by allowing my buddies to hold me down and gang tickle me any time soon. 😉

I think it's time for a big gay hug for the entire forum.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA..... big B you get the award for zinger of the day XD

*rolls eyes*

It's almost not even worth saying because I know it won't breach the thickness of your skulls, but I will anyway.

Men, if you believe that tickling another man threatens your masculinity in some way or another, or that it means you are homosexual, then clearly you aren't very secure in your sexuality. Period.

If I tickle a female friend, does that make me a lesbian? Uh, no. Der. Double standards are not attractive.

I have plenty of straight male friends who tickle *gasp*, egads! their other straight male friends. None of them are gay. Not a one. Then I have my gay male friends who tickle their other gay male friends. That doesn't even mean it's sexual. It just means that I have a bunch of male friends who like horseplay.

Sheesh. The ignorance and insecurity exhibited is overwhelming.

OMG, I freakin LOVE you for this! I don't think it can be said any clearer if you wrote it out in bubble letter with a highlighter!

Sushi, i don't think anybody is saying you have to like m/m tickling or your a close minded bigot. What people general are saying is that if you don't like m/m thats cool, just don't tell people that if a person does like m/m tickling, they are homosexual because of that. I think thats the real thing that people don't like.

To me it boils downs to one thing.

Is it the tickling that turns the individual on, or is it the individual tickling or being tickled that turns you on.

Think about this, you are placed into a dark room and start tickling someone or someone tickles you. You can not see or hear this person and are being tickled by or tickling with implements, not fingers.

I know it still would be easy to tell who you were tickling by voice, but being tickled you may never know.

And perhaps even tickling it may be a few minutes before you know whom it is.

Now then is it the tickling that turns you on, or the individual.

Just something to think about.

Rob

Oh, OK, well I wasn't saying that. I was replying strictly from a personal viewpoint. I fully understand that tickling can be non-sexual for many in certain circumstances, even if they do have this kink. The original question was this:

"So I'd like to mostly hear from the guys on this one (girls, obviously if you have something to add go for it), but I want to know what your thoughts are on m/m. Would you do it? Do you think guys who do engage in m/m tickling are bi/homosexual? Can two guys sit down and tickle eachother just for fun with no sexual undertone?"

My answers? Would I do it? Probably not. Do I think guys who engage in it are bi/homosexual? Possibly, but not necessarily because of the m/m tickling. Can two guys tickle each other for fun? Sure, but it's personally not my idea of fun. That's all I'm sayin'. 😉

What happened faster, guys labeling m/m tickling as gay or those guys being labeled as insecure and/or closed minded? The question was if you thought it was gay or not.

If you are someone who doesn't think it's gay or someone who thinks it is gay okay fine. I'm not going to think about anyone here any differently because of their opinion.

I'm not even going to discuss m/m tickling being gay. It's up to the individual ticklephile to determine their comfort level with m/m.

What distresses me is the intolerance in some of the responses. It seems in the race to be the most PC, some folks have taken the tact of marginalizing, generalizing and outright insulting those who don't share their worldview. It is incongruent for those who express tolerance for different sexualities to then turn around and ridicule others who are legitimately uncomfortable. No one said m/m was bad or deviant. They used terms like "not my cup of tea" or "not for me." This was met with "narrow-minded" and "homophobic." I find these responses shameful and unbalanced. No one has to enjoy all aspects of tickling. To denigrate those who pick and choose their personal delights, breaks down discourse and is unhealthy for our community. Sexuality and fetish are very personal and subjective. They should not be used as a "I'm more tolerant than you" club to smack folks that you disagree with.

Sorry if that came off as scolding, but some of yall need to fall back.

Just trying to prove a point , CrystalLight.

By playfully spoofing Skipadeedoodah's original question , I wanted people ... especially those who have ganged up on the members who've said 'yes , M/M is gay' ... to really be honest w/themselves & think about their initial reaction to it.

Picture it ... a man spooning another man. What's the first thought that pops into your head? What's your first impression? Would you think it to be "gay"? ... would it be wrong if you did?

Alright ...

Spooning ... an intimate activity where one person ( a NER 😛 ) romantically cradles another ( a NEE 😛 ) w/their body. It's an activity that is ( obviously ) NOT sex , but it is strongly associated w/sex.

Just as tickling can be an intimate activity that is NOT sex , but for many ( most? ) people here it is strongly associated w/sex. Is it really any surprise , then , that many of the members here have answered 'yes' to this thread?

Spooning in & of itself isn't "gay". It isn't "straight" It just ... is. What makes it go one way or the other depends on the people involved & the context of the situation. Same w/tickling.

What I HAVE found to be surprising , though ... & sushi854 , locker 669 , & tomskee have all touched upon this already ... is the fact that these members are being labeled as being 'insecure in their manhood' &/or homophobic as a result.

Why is that? If you're a guy who associates tickling w/sexual activity ... or it's a turn-on for you in any way ... is it really so wrong to get a gay-vibe from M/M tickling?

Its not something I"m into, but I wouldn't say its gay, unless there is genital tickling or nudity involved!

For the most part I"m into f/m. I do enjoy f/f, but only because of the female tickler and because I can still imagine that the female tickler may tickle me if that makes any sense. I"m not interested in any m/* at all.

I personally have no problems with anyone who doesn't like m/m. It's a personal choice, and I'm not bashing those who don't "enjoy all aspects of tickling".

What I consider narrow-minded are responses like drew70's who say that m/m tickling is unconventional and abnormal. What I consider narrow-minded are those who say m/m is most certainly homosexual, no matter the situation. What I consider narrow-minded is the viewpoint that m/m definitely has gay sexual undertones, but f/f more often than not doesn't.

Igorance such as that does get me angry. You're right when you say some of us have resorted to insulting, which is why I'm only responding to what you've said, and I'm now stepping down and rolling my eyes from the sidelines.

well, many say, f/f is more accepted than m/m

F/F is just "accepted" because it is NOT lesbian but made for the hetrosexual man.

That's great. You support people selecting which aspects of tickling they find palatable. In that you are very open minded to your credit. But you display appalling intolerance for those who associate m/m tickling differently than you do. It's one thing to disagree but quite another to cast insults. I've had posts deleted and have been banned for less.

I considerate it narrow-minded to label views with which one doesn't agree as "narrow-minded." It's like saying, "I will not tolerate any intolerance!"

Riiiight, now that you've gotten a couple of last punches in. 😀

LOL CAPT PICARD FTW !!!!!!!!

I don't know what upsets me more. The intolerance or that I'm on Drew's side on this one subject...damn! 😕:xlime::facepalm:

Wonders never cease.

I don't think it means your gay if you enjoy some of it. Just depends on HOW you enjoy it.

If you find it funny, thats one thing.

If you are sexually turned on by it, then you need to start praying.

I personally don't think I would tickle another dude but that is MY opinion. I don't think doing so means your gay. Gay is dropping the soap on purpose in a crowded prison shower. Other then that I think it varies with each person.

As far is intolerance goes, this about sums it up:
